  • do u have to get two ferrets or just one coz if they get loney or do they play with there toys all day and wont get loney

  • someone please answer. i asked my dad for a ferret and he said maybe. if he says yes,is it okay for it to live in that play pen or should I just buy it a cage? I am trying to buy a ferret and all its supplies without spending a loud of money.

  • @thegirlnextdoor1100 if you're going to get a ferret, you damn well better be prepared to spend a lot of money on them,

  • @tmacatthelodge

I'm an American and I don't want to spend an arm and a leg in money. How did you build your cage and hammocks. I would love to know because I also think that it is foolish to spend hundreds of dollars on animals.

  • @vetwannabe8ball

I cut the top off a milk carton and hung it in my ferrets cage and they LOVE it. they climb it all day and I sometimes find two sleeping in it O.O Also put some beans in an empty water bottle and put that in a sock. they love to try to carry it off and crunch on it, or at least mine do. Also a small bag of bells. My ferrets constently steal this thing from each other, and they also love to steal my toy rubber ducky that you could get from a dollar store. ^.^ hope that helps.

  • i gave my ferret a real egg and she had the time of her life with it xD

  • I gave my ferrets a squeaky toy they just pushed it out of the cage and never even looked at it again no matter how many times I squeaked it. (no they're not deaf)

  • @shilohmustang same =/

  • how do you make em' please tell me ?!

  • Robert8DS, I am a full time college student and I work about 20 hours a week. I spend a lot of time studying and I am in a play. But my little ferret gets plenty of love and attention. My vet says she is one of the most well socialized ferrets she has seen! You just have to be able to commit to spending SOME time everyday with your new companion! it is terrible to leave ferrets in a cage ALL day

  • ughh they dont look very happy lol i have to ferrets i love then sooo muce mine is brodii and my brothers a abe (aberham)

  • i love my ferrets! i have 3 and they are out of their cage ALL day. one has adrenal gland tumors and is pooping blood. doctors can't help unless my parents give a lot of money..

  • I just recently got my Hob Castrated, Because of the Odor and to stop his sexual strains,...Quick Question Though..Is it Possible To put another hob (that hasnt been castrated) with one that has

would they still end up fighting during mating Season? or anytime in general

  • I am thinking about getting a ferret but i dont know if it would get along with my guinea pig

  • @ToXiCxMonk3y Ferrets are natural prededors. NEVER let your ferret play with small rodents.

  • @ToXiCxMonk3y XxAmayaSanxX is right they cant be with reptiles, birds, small rodents but there fine with cats and dogs.If you get a ferret it wont be such a good idea

  • i just got a 3 month old ferret a couple days ago and i have done lots of research, but i dont know how much to play with it. i am 14 i am in highschool so i am not home during the day and my mom wont play with it. i also have homework and sports after school. please let me know what to do. lots of comments would be helpful, thanks

  • I'm sorry to say this but a ferret may not have been the best choice for you if you are so busy. Ferrets need anywhere from 2-4 hours of attention at least, depending on your ferrets personality. Some are a bit more independent and require less attention. Try ferret-proofing an area of your home, like living room or even a bathroom, by covering areas they can slip into and get stuck, putting baby lock on cabinet doors and getting anything that can be swallowed out of ferret reach. Block-

  • Block off the ferret-proofed area (I use baby gates in my living room to block off the kitchen and hallway) and then just let the ferret out. Something like a crinkle blanket or tubes or squeaky dog toys can keep a single ferret entertained. Then while your ferret is running around you can do homework and they'll be pretty tired by the time your done and ready for a half hour or so of light playing with you. My two ferrets favorite game is riding on a blanket I drag around or playing under it.

  • i am thinking of getting another ferret...mine is only 4months old(about) and seems to be ok with it because he LOVES playing with the cats and dog...i got him a a family store and he was alone and at petco(where i didnt get him)they are having a sale on ferrets...1 for $100 and the ones at petco are used to being with others and mine isn't but i think he's ready... im only 11 and would be using the rest of my money(except $40) to get another...what do u suggest...i want a TON of answers please.

  • Well He will be fine if you do get another one but just to let you know ferrets like to drag each other around by the neck when they first are introduced to each other so the one from pet co might start that or even yours might but i would bet on the one from pet co but the younger the better I had done the same thing but my ferret used to have a friend a year before so he was the one to start the draggin around ... ...

  • it might look like rough play but they just want to establish the dominate one they will dragg each other around for a week or two it shouldnt continue for too long but there is advice everywhere you should watch the Paring up Ferrets video too >>> in the more >>> pet cos are neutered & they have a tattoo behind there ear ... But yea just watch some movies or read some info I had a book that I found at a garage sale its helpful but Pet co even knows about them if you get to see the expert.

  • This was very helpful, thanks for the advice, I was wondering why my pounce was nipping at Zoe's neck. My fiance was worried, her being the "over protective mamma" :D

  • @Sh4rpSh0ot3r me 2

  • @Sh4rpSh0ot3r

    $100 FOR A FERRET!!!!!!!!!!!!!

There like £5.00 each over here!

  • Okay major question's if I dont want to buy a cage whats a good subsutite, what kinda sub foods can I give it if they run out of food, how much a basic amount is the normal cost of a ferret with out cost of cage and toys just normal health and food ?

  • Well i know that if u dont have a cage save up but in the meantime try putting him in your room or somewhere in the house where he can play but dont lose him because the go a lot of places so WATCH THEM

  • ferrets should be bathed once a month, and there blankets should be washed every two weeks. your not suppose to bath them more than once a month because it's bad for there skin... i was reading on the internet that in between bathing your ferret you can rub drier sets on them. pick a good sent that is not to strong.

  • I have a ferret who is about 2 and half months. His name is Boba Fett and he is about the sweetest thing. ;] I loooove him.

  • anyone got questions ask me i kno aot aboout them go on my chanell and just ask

  • no ferrets aint hard to look after there really easy i have 2 myself ut i dt know howmuch they are coz i got mne forfree x

  • are ferrets dirty animals, how often do you have to clean everything?

  • hey guys cn anyone tell me if having a ferret is hard and expensive?

  • very difficult and ya need $10,000 set aside for medical emergencies.. so yes

  • yeah maybe if you're going to go thru with every single whim of the vet in the event that your ferret gets some horrible disease. geez. $10,000?? stop trying to scare people. the cage and food and vaccinations every year are going to be your main cost concern.

  • Well you only really need one type of cage. You can get a decent sized one for about $250 from Ferret Nation, which I think is good for 2 to 3 ferrets. The food varies but if you want good nutrition for you ferrets, the more money you are going to spend. A poor diet will tear your ferret's tummy up. Vaccinations shouldn't put you in the hole too much. The cost is worth it to keep your pets healthy. I know I'll do anything for my Ferret.

  • Sure kid. Wat eva u sae

  • having a ferret will cost u about 400 a year

  • It's not hard at all!! You'll love having one or 2. (It's actually recommended to have at least 2)....The cost for the ferret alone is around $100-125.00 at Petsmart or Petco....Food cost will depend on how much you want to invest in a good diet or not. I pay $30.00 a month for 2 bags of Marshall Ferret Food....

  • We've added this to our product playlist... thanks for the info... ferrets are sooo cool!

    PR Sammi

  • Kitty505, you can never pamper a ferret too much.. If you've ever had them and actually cared about them, you'd understand you'd want to spoil the living hell out of them. I am 16 and have two. got them when they were 10 weeks, and they are my babies for now. Lol. and Tmacatthelodge, same to you. Ferret's usually can't eat what's not good for us, either. Stickly high protien and fat diets, anything else can cause them problems. DO YOUR RESEARCH BEFORE GETTING A FERRET! ;))) Joyous vid.

  • Do you have any questions about ferrets????

Just go to my channel and send me a message of your question! i will reply as soon as possible! The Ferret Guru

  • Argh, That bitch stole my ferret name, Suzzy Que, *mutters other mean things*

  • lol =]

  • u pamper them too much

  • im wonderin wat u make the egg thing from like all the mats if u can please message me mats ty

  • you are SO wright!! same with me. mine don't even live in a cage. Thea have my room and they can move arond there whenever they want. they love cardboard houses as much as expensive wood made houses and the best thing of the selfmade cardboard stuff, you can but them away and get new ones as soon as it gets boring (which happens pretty fast xD) ferrets need a lot of variety.

I'm getting sick here watching ferret videos. How people treat them. holding them alone in too small cages. horrible!

  • Well some people don't have enough money to buy oversized cages or just not enough room. I'm not completely sure if the cage I'm gonna get for mine is big enough, but it's almost as tall as myself and the bottom is 2 ft x 2 ft. I'd love to let it roam around in my room but my little sister might step on it or something.

  • why are americans so precious on there ferrets i have two sandy coloured ferrets. they live in a home made cage (bigger then the one in that picture), i feed em on ferret bisquits and anything else i shoot that is not good for eating myself. they have a home made hammock made from an old t shirt and there the happiest ferrets ever, i hate it when people spend money uneccesarily on there animals. mine get shit loads of attention and thats the main thing.

  • Well that's how some people show their love! I am defanetly not saying that is the appropriate way but that's just who come people are. Glad to see your ferrets get the appropriate food for them!

  • yes. i think it would be ok. ferret hair is dif. but lot less of it. just to be sure take him to a ferret only shelter or something and see how he reacts. also there are things he can take and ways of minimalizing hair dandriff like tile floors hard cover window shades and so forth. good luck.

  • AWW! theyre soo cute! my dad is allergic to some animal fur. like dogs and cats. if i got a ferret, would you think that it would be ok??
