I played this song over and over again along with "I Wish You Well" by Frankie Beverly & Maze when I broke up with my high school sweetheart. This song brings back painful memories, but even the painful memories are good to reflect on from time to time. It shows that your heart hasn't turned cold.

saw her in Cardiff last October and she was magnificent. she didnt sing this though and its one of my all time favs of hers. she sang lots of her hits though and one baeuty "end of the road" what a trmendous voice she has and she was great fun with the Band and her Brothet "the last Pip" as she called him. it was a really great show and I just hope it wasnt her farewell concert as she is too good to retire.
Going to see her in a couple of weeks, can't wait she's the best & original Diva & this is my favourite. She is what she is & makes it seem so effortless, roll on Gladys thanks for the memories!!
Classic - great song and performance. I've never seen or heard of it being covered by anyone else, possibly because very few singers ever would be capable of matching GK's brilliance on this one.
@Ruoktoday1 You're so right, the classic songs with that inner sense of true rhythmn and class just can't be replicated by today's artists. I still remember laughing my head off at George Michael, bending and weaving to AS by Stevie Wonder, thinking that the fact that he was borrowiing on Mary J Blige's soul credentials meant he could match Stevie! It cannot and should not be done!x
