honestly this is pretty insane that this was on a teen show on the frigging wb so long ago when it's still such a taboo subject. ryan murphy = badass.
this is one of the best episodes EVER because it focuses on gay / transvestite discrimination and i think that that is an issue that really need to be talked about. i think gay people have the right to be treated the same as straight people!
I love popular and I love mary cherry/ cherry cherry hahaha soo funny! I love that the show has so much more depth than the title suggests and that it was targeted at teenagers in school, I used to watch it religiously with my best friend and i think it made us feel better about the ignorant bigots in school who were idiots to him coz he was gay. I dont think there are enough programs like popular for school teenagers out at the moment
This episode was fantastic -- the walk out scene at the end was so amazing, because Ms. Debbie is holding her things in a box and walking out she looks so small and alone -- which mirrors how she must be feeling. Just an awesome episode.
