  • Brown-pants moment

  • HUPRA = Hung-Up Parachutist Release Assembly

  • Is it me or does the guy with a name model after the Stig with numbers seem like a prick? First off simple pyshics would dictate if his arms were tucked in this would not have happened.

  • @deathalert So you're a Brit Para then?

  • @pavlorestis No, that IS the correct way.

  • @truchrishill1 Uhm, the German Nazi Rocket scientists set up NASA for you.

The Brits invented, the telephone, artificial light, the computer, the internet, the TV, even discovered aluminium itself. You honestly think America invented cars? What a fool.

  • And we are also not allowed to post that kind of information or share it with strange individuals over an unsecured network you fucking leg...

  • balls of steal!

  • Some big coroness de man

  • 1000,2000,3000,4000...look up..... THANK FUCK FOR THAT.

  • That made the bottoms of my feet tingle

  • That is why you tuck your arms not flail like an idiot.

  • @sheepdawg29 You idiot he jumped correctly! Someone left a safety pin in the parachute... it was either him or one of the parachute riggers!

  • @TheGefro I'm the idiot? I guess me being a United States Army paratrooper means I don't know shit about jumping out of an airplane.

  • @sheepdawg29 You know its illegal to impersonate a government official! If you can give me your Rank, pay grade, battalion, company, platoon, MOS, base, and misc... then i will believe you! But until then shut the fuck up!

  • @sheepdawg29 Even that isn't enough. US "paratroopers" don't do enough jumps. Only 5.

  • Holy crap, that looks like it hurt like fucking hell, how was his back and neck??? :-S

  • it's not even a person, it's a training doll! look at the hand, all the fingers are stuck together !

  • @paiania6 This happened at Weston-on-the Green. It is not a dummy. HUPRA is Hung-Up Parachutist Release Apparatus, a parachute canopy that is attached to the static line. The cable in the aircraft ( that the jumpers hook the static line onto) is then cut. The delay was due to the despatchers setting up the HUPRA and the aircraft doing circuits to allow him to be dropped on the DZ and so near the ambulance.

  • @paiania6 PS He gives a thumbs up sign at 0:54, to show he's conscious. His left arm was caught in the lines and strops.

  • @paiania6 never knew the training dolls can give the thumbs up

  • thats why static line sucks

  • Iwalkwithalimp _ Come on, the RAF pack the chutes. Look closely at the guy's hand and see the thumbs up signal. One cool Paratrooper.

Bet he was sore.Helmet ripped off ,reserve above his head - No craphat !!

  • Yup test dummies.... shitting yself stil... going in the Para's and I'm scared of heights! xD ... but it's the toughest Infantry in the British Army so looks like I'll have to get over that fear ;-) ... get over it.. do you get it hahahaaa xD :P

  • These are test dummies, NOT REAL PEOPLE! I know I was a parachute rigger in the ARMY! NOTICE THE LEGS NEVER BEND AT KNEE, AND THE ARMS NEVER BEND AT THE ELBOWS.... Huge lol at those who think this was ACTUAL PEOPLE!!!!!

  • @Iwalkwithalimp that's my mate there dipshit. th

  • @Iwalkwithalimp That because his arms are caught in the rigging and his legs are caught in the turbulence. and "this was actual people" makes no sense at all, so I doubt you were in the army.

  • @Iwalkwithalimp sorry mate not a dummy

  • WeeeeeEEEEEE!!! I can see my house from here!

  • that happens and he gives a thums up! training and balls training and balls

  • ...by IKEA?

  • Prolly fucked up his arm pretty bad!

  • I almost shit my pants watching that. That is my biggest fear when jumping.

  • when the guy in front hits the ground he's gonna be like "where the fuck is everyone?"

  • Bricks were shat

  • i bet that guy shit his pants

  • Idea for a new game ... "Air Conkers":

Two planes fly past each other, each with a suspended parachutist on a long line.

Aim: break other plane's hung-up parachutist. Plane with least-damaged parachutist wins.

Soaking parachutist in vinegar or part-baking him for extra hardness is not permitted. HUPRA not permitted either.

  • keep your feet and knees together, Airborne

  • holy shit

  • thats fucken scary....

  • Check your damn rig AIRBORNE!!

  • How he get out? did they pull him back into the plane or did he cut off his main?

  • lmao haha!!! thats some good shit

  • how did he survive did he pull his reerve because the cute was to high up by the looks of it

  • @ Tony 130558 would be good to have the sound with this, any chance of reposting?

  • @UFOash this is'nt fake, dummy.. they are over the DZ when the first guy exits.. see that field below with the huge cross mown into the grass?? It's only a couple of minutes later that they cross the road, as the plane starts to turn back towards the drop zone. Then they attach a reserve and cut him free, and even though he's caught up in his own line and possibly injured he still goes through the drill.. British Paras, balls of Steel

  • Either you cut him loose or you pull him back in..Either way that's a damn good way of getting killed. It looked like he had a poor exit judging from the looks of it. And somehow the static line didnt deploy properly, If that jumper wasnt seriously injured he was damn lucky!

  • @Paladin1441 I am not a paratrooper, nor do I claim to be an expert, but his exit didn't look significantly different than the first guy's. I think the guy on the ground was pointing to the static line hook. Maybe the problem was with the packing of the chute or the hook's attachment to the static line. If you freeze the video where the guy is pointing, it seems there is some kind of binding over the hook (like a heavy plastic safety tie) that prevented it from deploying. Just guessing.

  • @infectedvector

I only ever did static line jumps at a local club. It looked to me like he was not rigged up properly and his reserve came loose as well. That system for attaching the static line to a parachute on the plane saved his life.

BTW there is no static line hook as such. The line pulled the canopy out in a deployment bag. As the jumper falls away the canopy comes out of the bag. Stat line and bag stay with the plane.

  • what did he wrong?

thats the risk, just imagine if he wouldnt be saved up...oO

my bro is a us airborne paratrooper 101st division, and i wanna be one 2..

    wish me luck guys

  • @SoOthersMayLive556 YIKES...the Cheeky Blighter (he IS British) KNOWS that he'll be the subject of a YouTube video...and asks that we check the "Thumbs Up" button! (which I did)

  • i wonder if they had a pair of clean pants when they pulled him back in to the airplane

  • no thank you lol

  • i would shit my pants just by looking out of the plane at that altidude (i hate heights :D)

  • @UFOash Well there not going to train to do it in Afghanistan and of course its real the can film things if they like its not a top secret mission.

  • @UFOash Where is Darwin's law when you need it most ? As in the case of your post.

  • @UFOash what a tosspot if you think this is fake shit happens and people record it they where above the road yes but are you forgetting wind hight and speed or do you think they will just drop like a stone

  • @UFOash Fucking retard I see this all the time over the motorway in the midlands. Stupid 13 year old.

  • Gory, gory, what a hell of a way to die,

  • GETEM JUMPMASTER!!! RLTW!!!

  • it actually probable was not taht scary for him when he was hanging there he wasnt hitting the side of the bird and was concious nothing broken. if that was one of us (us paratrooper) and it was not a tail gate he would have broken bones and everything from hitting the aircraft

  • nice view

  • why they dont put him back into the plane by draw near the line

  • looks like he has a blackout

  • would have pooped

  • talk about hanging him self

  • (Paratrooper's thought's)

    11s - 1m.33s

    Know what?

  • Id shit myself. No doubt about it

  • now this is just fucking scary.

  • what is HUPRA !

  • looking at it again it doesn't look like a C130.

  • At 1:37, I honestly thought he was about to die O.O

  • @murmasoro it's a hupra practice for air crew they are using a dummy.

  • THAT LOOKS FUCKING TERRIFYING

  • His static line was under his arm.....and from the look of it the waistband was not secure because his reserve came loose. Who did this guys pre-jump inspection (JMPI)? This is an epic fail of the jumpmaster, fellow jumpers, and the jumper himself!

  • In Soviet Russia parachute hang you!

  • HURPA DERP

  • @SoOthersMayLive556

Yes there was a thumbs up their indicating he's okay

  • Was he knocked out by that sudden jolt or was that what he was trained to do. I'm an American parachutist I'm not familiar with the UK methods of jumping. For instance, we jump with feet and knees together elbows at our sides, not spread eagle like that, and if we get towed like that we assume a modified position of attention and protect the rip chord grip on our reserve. Can someone explain this to me. Was he alright?

  • @Bounding4miles they're taligating out of a C130, when tailgating this is the most stable postion because the slip stream's coming from 3 positions (port/starboard as well as underneath). You adopt the arm chair position, sit back and enjoy the ride of your life.......very enjoyable.

  • @1992airborne That makes sense. We don't jump tailgate C-130's in the 82nd. We do tailgate jumps out of CH-47 Chinooks But they fly pretty slow and you just walk off the ramp and do the same thing I mentioned in my first post.

That shit looks so wild though.

  • @1992airborne Actually I just watched a video of American Marines tailgate jumping a C-130. So I guess I'm a dummy then. lol

  • I think they are Mexicant's. And I am virgin

  • first guy must have been like, shit wheres the rest of them :@

  • Well theres your problem.

  • Glad me made it out alright. (he did, didn't he?)

  • that would suck sooo much fucking balls

  • A "real" dummy! ha!

  • only americans can fail like that! xD

  • @JonnaJacobsen1995 lol you should read its not americans it is the UK military

  • @mtwilliams89 *close enough*

  • @JonnaJacobsen1995 Wow your stupid. This is a soldier from the UK. Notice the camouflage pattern and the uniform and READ THE DESCRIPTION.

  • Cut Away!

  • @bandersnatch2005 When I was in the 82nd thirty years ago, we would only be cut away if : 1. The hung up jumper demonstrated he was prepared by having his left hand on his head and right hand on his reserve ripcord. 2. Cold Weather drop. Otherwise, they would have to foam a runway and land with you while you are still hung up.

  • LoL he looked dead when he was hanging there.

  • shoulda snapped into a good tight body position...stupid brits

  • Comment removed

  • @D3adlySnip3rr thats not regular static line chief

  • @D3adlySnip3rr

you can tell that thats not a real man... stupid yank

HUPRA exercise for aircrew of the C-130

  • @D3adlySnip3rr hahah wot you chatting yanks no fuck all

  • didnt snap into a good tight body position...stupid canadians

  • @D3adlySnip3rr ... You fail at life.

  • I bet the guy was shitting himself.

  • He is a toy look at his hand

  • @kill3rw3b check out 0:53 he gives the thumbs up to show that he is ok.

Standard training used to be, don't know what it is now, to put both your hands on the top of your helmet to show that you are able to deploy the reserve.

When I trained HUPRA did not exist - our jumpmaster joked with us that if we got a hangup we were to remain still at which point he would carabiner down the line, cut us free, free- fall with us, deploy our reserve, deploy his own canopy and earn himself a medal!

  • Balls of steel, he's just chillin there

  • @kingewan Hell man what else is he supposed to do? lol

  • how did it happen

  • ouch brits......feet and knees together maybe?

  • @StrainXv No, they're British paras and therefore have done enough jumps to know what they're doing, unlike American paras.

  • lol wat ar the odds

  • In the event of an emergency, flap arms very fast!

  • @pault44 hahahahahaha

  • Is it now drill to jump with your arms out? In my day it was arms across your reserve.

  • I'd love to see an interview with the guy after this "little" incident.

  • Comment removed

  • In the US Airborne you are trained to keep your arms tucked tight in to your side holding your reserve in front of you. It looks like they are trained to jump out with their arms straight out on both sides of them which is why it looks like he got hung up.

  • @lawrencecvx It had nothing to do with where his arms were, it was how his kit was put together that was the issue.

  • @lawrencecvx are you fucking stupid.....they're exiting off of the tailgate not out of the Para Doors. You're taught to adopt this position when tailgating because it's the most stable position . Think about it.....once you exit you hit the slipstream which comes at you from mainly 3 directions (port/starboard, underneath). The armchair/frog position is universally accepted as the most stable postion when exiting via the tailgate.

  • @lawrencecvx They happen to be the superior unit your US Airborne tries to model itself on.

  • Typical for UK military.

  • @KapitKyk Yeah yeah keep on trolling mate, your lack of intelligence will prove itself more and more obvious with every word you type no doubt.

  • @KapitKyk You even have paratroopers, Ivan?

  • He's my hero... wow!

  • "I think something's wrong, Sarge!"

  • You have no idea how freaked out I would be if I was in his position. He has my complete respect for keeping cool.

  • hows it hanging?

  • lol gotta check those pack tags and dates. The rigger got some splainin to do lol.

  • @justcallmeSmith If it's the same now as when I was in the rigger has NO explaining, you packed your own rig, riggers went around and checked at each stage.

  • that would totally ruin my day

  • he just stayed there. suspended 3000 feet in air or watever. just there. over farm trees highway.

  • @KOLIN25 Well, he didn't really have any other option did he..

  • @TheConfusedDave yea im saying that should be like an epihany moment for him. it would be for me. and yea he could of decided NOT to jump.

  • @KOLIN25 if He didn't jump, he'd of failed the course.

  • holy hell.... i really hope i never get towed... Insane vid...

  • I was green berret-paratrooper in greece, and i must say that this was baaaad luck!! Poor guy! Did it released by itself? I hope he was ok after!

  • was the guy unconscious?

  • Hooo my god !!!!

  • a normal person pratices until he get's it right. a soldier pratices until he cant get it wrong. this is wy.if this hapent on a mission then lives could be at stake. nice work of the soldier to keep frosty. and to do as he wuz taught

  • Did he get 'smoked' in the end?

  • ok sir im just gonna hang here AND SHIT MYSELF!!!!!!!

  • hes got balls

respect to the highest level to you m8

  • I would have thrown stuff at him from the plane lol >:)

  • My respect goes out to him, he kept his cool and remembered his training. if that happened to me i would of screamed me tits off lol

  • Thats the ones you train for. Are brief was they would pull us in because of the little DZ. droped you out in the pines and you became casuality they may not find you.Its happen before at Benning. Your in Alabama 1987 when i was there, no GPS, no thermal, no none of what you have now. dope on a rope.

  • this is a matter of life & death.

  • i wonder what he was thinking about while hanging there

  • @kingbomb Probably "Oh great, now someone is going to put me on YouTube if I live, LiveLeak if I die."

  • thank god its on equipment and not his arm

  • the guy beyond him , got to blame, before exit the aircraft we got one minute to check equipment and stand up n get ready for exit .

  • guys i dont say why your joking about this, that poor fucker kept it together, i bet half of you would shit your pants if that happend, have some fucking respect.

  • @webb20k how you know he didn't shit his pants haha? were you there?

  • @hardrada88 nice little verse you have siad there, sorry what was that ex raf, thought as much and you do re-enactment. how can you slate blokes who burst there fuckin arse doing p coy then complete there jumps training and slate them like you do. COCK, would be interesting to know what gives you the right to slate others like this...and what was you job in the raf.

  • @andrew5860 This is the price we pay for freedom, alot bad mouthing from Soldier of Fortunes $6bling. How do you know that soldier behind didnt have it out for him, stole his girlfriend. Soldiers like to tear in your ass mate, its all good fun.

  • yeah yeah... just drop him above the motor way hahaha

  • Who cares what went wrong, as long as he is alright.

  • From the attitude of the arms & legs on exit this is a helicopter exit, rather than a C130, where the legs are kept together and the arms folded on top of the reserve.

This, together with the quality of the film and the fact that what is an exceptionally rare event was captured so well on film makes it certain that this is in fact a training video in with the situation deliberately set up.

  • Hang in there.

  • If I was on the plane, I would have thrown stuff at him... XD

  • In Soviet Russia the Parachute... No FUCK THAT that shit is so old

  • When the jumper exited the aircraft, the static line was under his right arm instead of behind him. The Jumpmaster should have prevented that.

  • did he died?

  • TALK ABOUT PUCKER FACTOR....

  • omg, i would've pissed my pants XD

  • What the heck... Everything about their chutes are jacked up. Lol see how long the susp. lines are; god I'd hate to be a rigger for them

  • what does HUPRA stand for

  • @TheZeusgoose Probably the UK version of HOOAH or OORAH. Look it up.

  • @TheZeusgoose Hung Up Parachute Release Administrator. =)

  • Para Para in the sky, living proof that shit can fly
