  • would it be worth doing this to a ms271?

  • @Gauge1channel if you want to go attend at competition, yes it worth it

  • @bertrandhotsaws Thanks for the reply ill have more of a look in to it now :)

  • harwester!!xd

  • Yeah Baby! STIHL SAWS and MILLER welders!

  • looking good simon!

  • that saw is spost to have a 36 in bar on in did yall midif it for a climber

  • this saw is modified because the 880 normally comes with a 59 inch but he put a 18 inch making it pretty powerful

  • @stihlman08 i can build you one, just drop me an email

  • im gonna buy one someday..... when i can afford it

  • @kinghowie8 I'll sell you mine

  • @bbigrocker how much? lol

  • @kinghowie8 Let you have it for $1400 comes with 3 chains

  • what really is the point of modifying something that already has close to 122 cc and 8.7 hp at least on paper?? if its competition i accept, but else, i think there's no need for that. someone explain to me the point of modifying this beast to perform better than in stock form, i mean i dont see the reason, if somebody do, please explain..

  • its the human race, not walk, racing helps us evolve son! there is always room for improvment

  • this chainsaw have been modified for cold start then 3 cuts competitions type. so the point is just to be faster then anybody else!

  • @bertrandhotsaws buy a husky.... lol

  • the ms880 has 121,6cc and 8,7hp

  • the 880 is bout 8.5 hp i think

  • What was that like 4 seconds? FAST! The 880 seems to have quite a bit more torque and high end than a 440. Both nice saws.

  • @r1skate the 880 is a hell of alot bigger... hence the number difference... lol

  • wow good time

  • i was a groundsman for a guy who dropped an MS290 10M out of a tree onto concrete while running! the only damage sustaind was a partly broken front hand guard and it was still running! one month since then it still works as well as when it was first run in!!! things like this give stihl its great reputation and why i would never consider another brand!

  • Ummmmm..MS 880,, DROOOL*

    Sick saw man!...Cool Vid

  • Almost looks like you were cutting concrete!

  • Yep it still works! The on-off switch broke off and thats all the damage it sustained. But it doesn't start on the first pull like it used to. The 009 was one awesome top handled saw. But I'm very pleased with my MS200T. Have a nice day.

  • STIHL RULES

  • 088 will run a lot longer than a 48" bar, ive seen them with 60"+ bars

  • Stihl says that the max is a 59" but u definantly put a 6ft bar on it no problem, u have 8.8hp to work with after all!

  • I recently purchased a MS200T chainsaw with a 14 inch bar, its an expensive bugger but boy is it worth it!! I dropped my 1994 Stihl 009 about 40ft landed on concrete it still works but is not dependable. I have a 009, MS200T,029,036,046 magnum,088,an extendible power pruner and a Stihl 40 inch hedge trimmer, so as far as I'm concerned Stihl Rules!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • I want to see it cut through wet hardwood.

Not any dry "as a toothpick" whie pine!!!!

  • i also hear that the stihl ms 880 is loud enough to scare the trees down. lol

  • are you sure its not "880" because the only saw of stihl that i know of with that big of an engine is the STIHL MS-880 MAGNUM.

  • 088 = old model number. 880 = new model number.

  • looks like a 14" bar? Also, what type of wood is being cut?

  • use a husqvarna then it will go mutch faster

    stihl suchs

  • find a chain saw stronger than ms880.....husqvarna 3120 can't get even close to ms880 dumbass!!!!

  • stronger is not always better!!!!

  • if you look chainsaw it is....it's all about power, torque and weight

  • personal i think how bigger the chainsaw how better husqvarna gets versus a stihl. about stihl: i have a ms200T tophandle from stihl and there is no better saw than that one too use in a tree. I also have a 357. 372 and 575 husqvarna and have trobbel al all.. perfect chainsaw.

  • look husky 575...it can't compare with ms441 magnum....stihl: 5.6hp 6.6kg....husky:5.4hp 6.8kg...and compare husky357 with stihl ms361...husky:4.4hp...4.6kg...stihl:4.6hp..4.5kg

if you look 372xp and 440 magnum it's pretty much the same saw.sory for my bad english

  • do you like to carry the 880 through the woods all day?

  • bertrandhotsaws is that maybe ms660 not ms880 im not sure :P

  • guys watch stihl timbersports, then talk. husqvarna sux....stihl rox

  • no it aint sped up, the saw is sped up with a speed sprocket, ported polished, jetted prolly a header too. that saw is over 100cc's jackass. watch the stihl timbersports on espn and you'll see saws just like that. dont be an ignorant jerk

  • i like sound of ms880

  • obviouly edited u can see

  • when do you drive down to try it??if you are not able to acheive the same with your saw , get back to the table work!!

  • yes, you can tell that the video has been sped up. Look when he goes to grab the chainsaw. Also the sound was cut out because it would have given it away even more easily. He believes that his shabby editing can fool everyone.

  • you're a tool Justin82988

  • Actually, after some research, it's just because of the transfer method, it is a legitimate video.

  • Obviously edited? Not so obvious to me. What does seem obvious is that you know very little about chainsaws. That is the largest saw that Stihl makes, and this one has been modified for even more power. I wish more people would get over their childhood frustrations and give credit where credit is due.

  • hmmm - wouldnt mind one of those

  • Dear lord in mongolia

  • nice work, would be better with sound though !

  • Holy Shitfire
