By dint of pure luck (and some heavy persuasion from the lovely young lady who accompanied me to the concert) I got to go back stage before the DC show on this tour. We even ended spending about 5 minutes with Phil in his dressing room (trust me, he was definitely more interested in my lady friend than he was in me!). Anyway,It's definitely Mo on bass.

PHILS FACE VALUE and HELLO I MUST BE GOING cd's are among the best ever recorded - few songs made the charts (and that's a good thing). He wrote most of the songs himself and had no pressure to sell records - just make personal music that he shared with the world. I waited a lifetime for him to make a 3rd cd as good but he never has and never will. PHIL, thank you for these two gems. LOVE YA ALWAYS.

This is funky!! I used to hate Phil, but then, as I have gotten older... I hear a song by Phil and I've gotten all "ALRIGHT, this is pretty good, I will admit!!"... now, when I hear a song by Phil or Genesis, I am all in. The 18 year old version of me would want to shoot my current version in the face with a magnum, but hey, with age comes wisdom. Phil is alright with me.

Andrea actually left Phil in 1978 and moved to Vancouver. It was during the Genesis Follow Me Tour that the affair happened, when Phil was away. They separated in 1979 after Phil came back to England from Vancouver, where he went after the Genesis tour in 1978. Their divorce wasn't finalised until 1980. Most of the material on his first 2 albums was written between 1978 & 1980.
