April Fools! But actually the concept is solid. If you get a filter that filters out all visible light but lets IR light through, then this will work with pretty much any cell phone camera. Too bad cling wrap doesn't do this though.

People are confusing X-rays with this. It gives an X-ray effect, but isn't actually an X-ray, that could be used in airports etc. If it is nit an April fools then the reason why is because it uses inferred, which penetrates skin/materials a lot less effectively than X-rays and other high frequency waves, hence it can only go through thin fabric and is stopped by the boxer shorts.

Not an april fool or at least I don't think so it could probably work because of the way light bends towards the normal thats Wat I'm guessing anyway although would only work on cloth or thin material with at least some small gaps not an actual x ray INCASE THERES ANY Less able out there if it was the IPad or infrared source would have to be emitting gamma .

Sure, a lot of consumer-grade cameras can see infrared light, although they have a filer in place INSIDE THE DEVICE which filters it. You could try this by slaughtering an old webcam or such.
