im reading all the previous comments & im gonna get a jindo 2 days later, everyone says there jindo ran away but i live in an apartment & it cant run away but what if it wants to. will itgo through depression & have stress ?
@xChocolatess Jindo has a lot of energy. They need to be taken out for walks daily if you live in an apartment. Preferably an area where they can run freely, probably a fenced in dog park. They should be able to play for an hour or so. Jindo need to be socialized early, otherwise, they'll get aggressive later on towards non-family members when they are older. Make sure they don't get bored too much, entertain their brain with fun training. Hope it all goes well!

I saw this video and thought someone had stolen my dog and videotaped her. This looks EXACTLY like Maja, my five year old white jindo. She does the same thing when she wants to be scratched. She also is very disappointed right now because we moved into a new house and I jindo-proofed the yard, i.e. had a very solid and stable fence put in so she couldn't run away or go seek out cats.
My Jindo is also around 12-14 years old (adopted as an adult). When she was younger she used to "take herself for a walk". We wouldn't even know she was gone but would open the front door and she would be sitting there looking up like she was saying "hello, let me in!". Best dog I've ever had.
Jindos have excellent sense of direction. My dog ran away when he only had him for one day at night and still found his way back home whining at the gate to be let in because he was thirsty. lol His name is Bekoo (which means "white dog" in Korea... self explanatory). He's such a wonderful dog. He's NEVER aggressive with any human, really agile (too many dead animals have been found in the backyard), and intelligent. He also for some reason always sneezes when he's on his back... never got that.
I know. my jindo ran away soo many times. everyone loved that dog. it was so beautiful. 3 people even asked me how much! it was a girl. she ran away exactly 37 times. i counted. it was a mix. we found many dead a nimals in our yard. she was very strong eve tough small. she was very protective. once this pit bull was about to attack my mom, my dog ran to it and glared the meanest glare. and it bit the pitt bull and wouldn't let go the pitt bull, twice its size managedto get away, but earwasripped
Their head/face look a lot like labradors with pointed ears.

it's unbelievable how eerily similar everyone's stories are!!!
My Jindo ran away or in other words "walked itself" several times.
sometimes it was gone for days, but it would always reappear at the doorstep!!!
he's 16 yrs old going on 17 and is still an amazing ball of energy!!!!!!

i have a white jindo too and she's 12 years old and has run away about 10 times. but i love her. she's VERY protective though.
