  • A lot of sustain....!!

  • I actually think this is a great performance. Although there needs to be some honing with the dynamics, your technical ability is beyond amazing :) Your piano does not seem to be able to handle all that sound :)

  • waaaaaata?

    sorry, i can't understand this messy :/

  • This is way to fast. Way too mushy. Has lots of mistakes.

I'm impressed at your speed, but why don' you try playing it with NO PEDAL AT ALL. You play it fast enought that I think you can pull it off that way.

  • noisy!!!

  • don't you hear how awful it sounds?

what are you playing for? to improve your technic? piano is not an exerciser for your fingers, it's a MUSICAL INSTRUMENT.

    i'm completely incensed.

that someone could play chopin that way, without hearing any music and feeling it

  • @Marie15991

uhh... what's wrong to learn an etude to improve technical abilities? Do you even know what an etude is? Anyways, you can't really judge a performance at all with this bad sound quality....

  • @anonymous345

it seems that you don't know what Chopin is as well.

and of course i don't know what etude is, i'm too unaware to know such difficult things. despite the fact that i've graduated from music conservatory.

  • it's not chopin at all. you play it lake you're racing.

what for? all the musical sound is completely lost and this great etude makes no sense in that tempo. just a strange noise.

  • Too bad ..Chopin's just not about technic.......Go home and Practice more~!

  • Ah mes oreilles >_<! Pourquoi elle garde la pedale aussi longtemps?!

  • this sux. slow down and play it right girly. i know you can do better than this. how could you post such crap when you can do much, much better?

  • Comment removed

  • It's a little bit tad too fast.

yeah, too bad the quality :\ it sounds like as if you never let go of the sustain pedal lol.

but nevertheless, that's one great effort.

  • allegro MA NON TROPPO - as in "fast, but not overly so". Chopin knew what he was doing when he wrote that tempo marking.

  • Chopin went in a different direction, i think they're virtuoso etudes and that means they stress technique not necessarily musicality, idk if im right but thats what my music teacher says. anyway she did great :) one of my favorite pieces to play:)

  • Give me please notes to this etude.. :) please so much. Thank you :) :)

  • Too much. Chopin's Etudes are musical. More music than technique.

  • Awesome! But.. 1. too fast 2. bad quality.

    Sorry bout that

  • nice , im not gonna post neggative comments like some other ppl , cuz shes better than me of course no matter what T.T

  • Ok asshole, since you want to be all technical about it, maybe you should know a bit about music yourself. Chopin's etudes are not etudes in the sense of Hanon, Czerny, etc. They are "musical" pieces that focus on a technical difficulty. So, whereas Hanon would have made this a left hand etude by repetitively playing some harmonic progession, Chopin wrote it so that the left hand is flowing beneath the right hand, which is bringing out one of the most powerful melodies that he has ever written

  • u r AWESOME!

    Five stars! Favored!

  • No musicality

  • only a person who truly does not value and understand music would say such profanity about this "revolutionary" etude, this piece needs an understanding of musical concepts and interpretation... by playing it like this and going on what you say... it defeats the whole purpose of the piece...

as i was saying only someone with no musical understanding would prefer speed over musicality. and it seems to me that you are that type of person, over critical or not.

  • ReclaimTG, after watching your video, now I know why you said what you did about this video. JEALOUS! Your videos SUCK! Very weak!

This is a very difficult piece and this is the fastest I've EVER heard it play. This video is AWESOME!

    She

  • your awesome!!!!!

  • Her interpretation of this piece is the fatest that I've seen on YouTube, amazing o.0

  • wow!!! i never ever saw a kid play that!! thats amazing!

  • Left hand is too laud!!

The theme is the right hand...

Still...even in this etude can be found music...you just press keys in this one... sorry

  • the recording maybe is not so good as the bass notes are louder than the melody but you did a fantastic work, the rest is just ENVY

  • i havent heart any piece in which she plays good.sorry but i think there are very much people who can press the keys very fast but thats not music(ality)

  • I suppose you are really the virtuoso here aren't you. Find the definition and translation to the word "Etude" and you will perhaps know the fallaciousness of your statement.

  • I didnt say i'm a virtuoso..but i'm studying the piano and i know that chopin etudes especially this one are not only written for technical training.. perhaps you will now know the fallaciousness of your statement of my statement ; )

  • It is apparent from your original statement that you are not a virtuoso and since your description of her performance negates any such comprehension of musical terms; specifically the term musicality. Such a term is of little use to music criticizers due to that subjective terms emulate an immaturity in that of the criticizer.

  • looks like somebody has a little mouse crawling inside her anus ?

  • dlightman1978: idiot

  • Moron

  • im in middle of learning it too..can you please comment/feedback me

    i'd really appreciate it

  • Comment removed

  • there's only so much constructive criticism you can fit in 500 words. i dont think you understand what I was writing there. i said slow down and play more musically. thats it. and I am working on the piece myself. don't know why you're taking so much offense to what i said

  • omg, that was the most hair-raising performance I've eve heard!

  • you-are-fast...that-is-not-the-problem...girl,where-is-the-music????????

  • the right hand and left hand arent synchronized in some places (i mean u dont play the exact notes together) and a bit he speed but its still awesome! keep it up

  • ur technics r AWESOME but no offence u look like a robot just sitting there. get some soul, some feeling into this! Its a revolution! Anyway. u r awsome on the fast thing. ive been playing piano for 6 years and i still cant play as fast but every musician has to understand that music isnt just about showing what u can do. its also about showing that u LOVE the music that you can feel the emotions in the notes. And its a little too fast.;)but keep up the work, ur GREAT. Just listen to these tips

  • awesome:)

  • Dynamics. Where are there?

I watched this then started learning to play it, and I have to be honest: it's impressive to hear this piece for the first time or for a non-player, but seriously, yours completely lacked anything other than technical prowess. Please, more dynamics, plaw a tad more slowly, and clean it up. There's no reason it shouldn't be superb.

  • 2;11? you are faster than richter!!!!!!

  • OOO. Faster than Richter? But what on earth does that MEAN? Srsly, where did this ridiculous faster-is-better idea come from?

  • you have great potential. however, ur pedals aren't clean... and the speed a bit too fast. try to slow it down and concentrate on the feel of the piece a lil more. otherwise, amazing! keep it up!

  • DAm 10 seconds faster than Richter! You are the craziest young pianist I have ever seen! Keep it up! You have great potential! Practically limitless! Keep at it and never give up young prodigy.

  • opanuj sie z pedałem kobietooo !!!

  • opanuj sie z pedałem kobietooo !!!

  • Sorry but think you've played it awfully too fast...to really show the song's beauty...it's still really good. But i think you shoul play slower and yeah...not trying to be mean >.>

  • Hi J.E. Kim i´m from Mexico. I´m 25 years old & I´m a piano amateur.

could u tell me some tips to be able to play this piece?

    U´re an inspiration to me.

  • wow..I was surprised seeing this.

You're still young and can learn so much more! You have a good flair to your playing and you command a presence. And I know someone already said something about left hand playing a bit too much, so yeah. But maybe you don't have to always play so fast(I was watching your Hungarian Rhapsody No.2 video too)

  • =o...whoa...speechless, you are AMAZING

  • I think you are great pianist. I would like to see how you play Hungarian Rhapsody no. 2

  • I promise, Within 2 weeks I 'll show you Hungarian Rhapsody No. 2, Beethoven Sonata 11, and Messiean's Twenty eyes for Christ-child No.4

  • lol ur powerful

  • Coud you learn Chopin's Etude op.25 no.11????

  • Of course!!

  • too much forte on left hand

  • Ha Ha, DEAR VPETRENKO. WHAT YOU SAID IS RIGHT!! I ALSO THINK SO.

  • amazing! you did great...but it's very fast..you should know how to control it and have discipline in playing the piano. Don't just play around..for me piano is not for fun..how long did it take you to memorize the piece?? can you tell me what country are you from..thank you and more power..keep up the good work!!! pls. respond to this message

  • Dear rochasdior!!

    Thanks for your useful comments.

    I am Korean

It took 2 weeks for me to memorize this piece. .

I also know what is my weekpoints ans strong points. So I want improving me day by day.. . .

  • Only two weeks??? My God, what will become of you??? I´ve never heard anything like it. You will probably surpass both Howowitz and Argerich! Yes I know it IS very fast. (and you miss some notes.) But it doesn´t matter! At your age one SHOULD test one's forces!

  • Dear ellandelachapelle.

Thanks for your advice. . But I think the most important is to play completely. In fact, I am still amateur.

  • @ellandelachapelle You are a RETARD.

  • amazing! you did great...but it's very fast..you should know how to control it and have discipline in playing the piano. Don't just play around..for me piano is not for fun..how long did it take you to memorize the piece?? can you tell me what country are you from..thank you and more power..keep up the good work!!! pls. respond to this message

  • yeah left hand needs to be softer.

i also have a vid on this piece....

  • Thanks dear keizan. Your performance was very good!!

  • It's awesome but to my taste it's a little to rapid and with the left hand it's true that's it'a a liitle to forte !

  • Thanks dear hugo. . .

  • Awesome!

  • If you really love your piano as yourself you would restrain on using too much forte on the left :P

    Very good work.

  • Really useful comments!!

  • tell me how u do that? and how long do u take to practise etude and stuff like that? can u give me clue of playing fas coz most of pianist are playing fast...

  • Can you please teach me HOW to practice a piece like this? That is my BIGGEST problem, I think. Do you practice note-by-note, measure-by-measure? Do I need more patience? How long did it take you to conquer this piece? How many hrs/day did you practice.

  • Thanks, my golden rule is "Love your piano as yourself!"

  • I have only ONE word to describe your playing:

    AWESOME!

    wOw!

    (^o^)

  • Bravo!

  • :P . . .

  • Hi, I came back to read your reply to my comment but I don't understand what :P... means. You are amazing that you can learn all these difficult pieces by yourself!

  • Thanks, :P means that you (piaogirl98) are better!!

  • (cont.)

Let me put some comments for your great play.

. Most of your plays are too fast.

. So it's hard to feel the emotions with clear touches.

. Here is a good play from another amature with clear touches and good balances.

    6aQpi9-RBkM (replace this with .../watch?v=xxxxxx)

La Campanella when Lim D.H. was around 13 years old.

    Vi3NnXu-hLI

I agree with other comments that 'teacher' is very important, but there is no doubt you would be a great pianist.

  • ;) Thanks, It sounds like the voice of angel!!

  • OMG. It's amazing. You played a lot of difficult scores including Islamey. I believe within 10 years you could be like Yundi Li or Donghyek Lim.

  • Hi Kim. Please dont go play the music on ur own, better find a good teacher or get in music schools to be guided through, otherwise you will get ur hands terminally damaged and your music senses will ever be growing. There is a lot of things to improve on your technique and musical interpretation.

  • :) Really thanks for your kindly comments. .

  • thanks . . but explain more easily.

  • Thank loves2listen, I am also much interested in your piano poformance chopin impromptu. . . . .

  • thanks, but i don't like my performance that good... but it was the best that i could record :P

  • For the right hand, try to "get out of the key" when doing the octaves. Bring the melody line out more. It's suppose to give an orgasmic revolution feeling, it is important to play for listening pleasure rather than speed. Then I think you'll be successful.

  • For the glory of God!!!

  • amen! and this is breathtaking... very exciting left hand and speedy :D

  • very good, only 13 wow!
