I actually think this is a great performance. Although there needs to be some honing with the dynamics, your technical ability is beyond amazing :) Your piano does not seem to be able to handle all that sound :)
uhh... what's wrong to learn an etude to improve technical abilities? Do you even know what an etude is? Anyways, you can't really judge a performance at all with this bad sound quality....
Chopin went in a different direction, i think they're virtuoso etudes and that means they stress technique not necessarily musicality, idk if im right but thats what my music teacher says. anyway she did great :) one of my favorite pieces to play:)
Ok asshole, since you want to be all technical about it, maybe you should know a bit about music yourself. Chopin's etudes are not etudes in the sense of Hanon, Czerny, etc. They are "musical" pieces that focus on a technical difficulty. So, whereas Hanon would have made this a left hand etude by repetitively playing some harmonic progession, Chopin wrote it so that the left hand is flowing beneath the right hand, which is bringing out one of the most powerful melodies that he has ever written
Too much pedal. And like always, too fast, no dynamics, messy, and no feelings. STOP BEATING THE DOG TO DEATH!!! This song was so loud and fast, it felt like you were in a hurry to evacuate your house or something, but you had to finish the song first. I felt like a robot was playing, but even the rhythm was not that accurate in the middle. You play things TOO FAST!!!

Recclaim, it's an ETUDE, Einstein, it doesn't NEED "musicality." An etude means it's a STUDY! In this case, it's to keep the fingers MOVING! The tempo is Allegro con fuoco, which simply means: Fast with FURY!!! She's playing it PEFECTLY! If you knew anything about music, you'd know that. So since you obviously DON'T, then STFU, moron!!!!!
only a person who truly does not value and understand music would say such profanity about this "revolutionary" etude, this piece needs an understanding of musical concepts and interpretation... by playing it like this and going on what you say... it defeats the whole purpose of the piece...
as i was saying only someone with no musical understanding would prefer speed over musicality. and it seems to me that you are that type of person, over critical or not.
i havent heart any piece in which she plays good.sorry but i think there are very much people who can press the keys very fast but thats not music(ality)
I suppose you are really the virtuoso here aren't you. Find the definition and translation to the word "Etude" and you will perhaps know the fallaciousness of your statement.
I didnt say i'm a virtuoso..but i'm studying the piano and i know that chopin etudes especially this one are not only written for technical training.. perhaps you will now know the fallaciousness of your statement of my statement ; )
It is apparent from your original statement that you are not a virtuoso and since your description of her performance negates any such comprehension of musical terms; specifically the term musicality. Such a term is of little use to music criticizers due to that subjective terms emulate an immaturity in that of the criticizer.
there's only so much constructive criticism you can fit in 500 words. i dont think you understand what I was writing there. i said slow down and play more musically. thats it. and I am working on the piece myself. don't know why you're taking so much offense to what i said
the right hand and left hand arent synchronized in some places (i mean u dont play the exact notes together) and a bit he speed but its still awesome! keep it up
ur technics r AWESOME but no offence u look like a robot just sitting there. get some soul, some feeling into this! Its a revolution! Anyway. u r awsome on the fast thing. ive been playing piano for 6 years and i still cant play as fast but every musician has to understand that music isnt just about showing what u can do. its also about showing that u LOVE the music that you can feel the emotions in the notes. And its a little too fast.;)but keep up the work, ur GREAT. Just listen to these tips
I watched this then started learning to play it, and I have to be honest: it's impressive to hear this piece for the first time or for a non-player, but seriously, yours completely lacked anything other than technical prowess. Please, more dynamics, plaw a tad more slowly, and clean it up. There's no reason it shouldn't be superb.
you have great potential. however, ur pedals aren't clean... and the speed a bit too fast. try to slow it down and concentrate on the feel of the piece a lil more. otherwise, amazing! keep it up!
DAm 10 seconds faster than Richter! You are the craziest young pianist I have ever seen! Keep it up! You have great potential! Practically limitless! Keep at it and never give up young prodigy.
Sorry but think you've played it awfully too fast...to really show the song's beauty...it's still really good. But i think you shoul play slower and yeah...not trying to be mean >.>
You're still young and can learn so much more! You have a good flair to your playing and you command a presence. And I know someone already said something about left hand playing a bit too much, so yeah. But maybe you don't have to always play so fast(I was watching your Hungarian Rhapsody No.2 video too)
amazing! you did great...but it's very fast..you should know how to control it and have discipline in playing the piano. what are you playing for? to improve your technic? piano is not an exerciser for your fingers, it's a MUSICAL INSTRUMENT.

that someone could play chopin that way, without hearing any music and feeling it

it seems that you don't know what Chopin is as well.
and of course i don't know what etude is, i'm too unaware to know such difficult things. despite the fact that i've graduated from music conservatory.

it's not chopin at all. you play it lake you're racing.
what for? all the musical sound is completely lost and this great etude makes no sense in that tempo. just a strange noise.
