@dinosuar11030 yea I went there a week ago and in the distance saw huge patches of brown stuff which I'm guessing was seaweed.

@nektorhond Sand Sharks, Bull Sharks and Blacktips with an occasional Tiger Shark around the river mouths.
Pretty much harmless unless your a wade fisherman with fish wrapped around your legs.
Galveston has great restaurants, colorful history, air museum, sailing ships, opera house, "The Strand" historical district and of course beaches.
Some pretty cool street racing on the east end Friday and Saturday nights.
