  • Tell me something, why didn't Blendtec make the top ten out of the top 100 blenders in the last issue of Consumer Reports of blender comparisons? June issue of 2010 was the last time they compared the top 100 blenders and Blendtec didn't even show up. I guess you are the only one who feels Blendtec is better than Vita-Mix. Well you and your sorry videos. Oh in case you didn't know Vita-Mix was rated #1 again as they always do in Consumer Reports.

  • Vitamix must pay more than $11 million for infringing on a competitor's patents.

So if vitamix is so special WHY did they copy Blendtec? I would have to think its because the wildside jar BLENDS so much better.........now this is not me saying this its the actions of vitamix..........Hands down Blendtec is much better.

  • @oicuhave1 that was only the commercial version of Vita-Mix and VM no longer uses that container anyway. Starbucks still canceled Blendtec and converted all of their shops back to Vita-Mix across the country. Blendtec was providing Starbucks with free machines but they chose to pay for a better machine rather than get an inferior one for free.

  • Lies lies lies Blendtec lies; 3 hp motor?? 1500 Watts?? There are 746 watts per hp. Blendtec should be a 2238 Watt machine if it had a 3hp motor. They have a 1500 watt motor which proves it's only 2 hp. Culinary Institute of America said the most important thing to a chef in the kitchen next to their knives is the Vita Mix. You guys are delusional. No objective report or magazine rates Blendtec very high, only these brainless videos.

  • @PE425 You can quote any stupid Blendtec video you want to but you are ignorant of the facts. Why do you think Starbucks came back to Vita Mix? Because Blendtec sucks. The employees had to constantly shake and smack the Blendtec container to overcome the air pockets. June issue last year Consumer Reports rated Vita Mix number one out of the top 100 blenders. Blendtec didn't even make the top ten. I don't need a fake video just use outside sources to do the testing. Consumer Reports.

  • Practice reading your script before you record. Notice the measurements only go halfway up the container? Fill that sucker up and you will blow the lid off. Call customer service and they will tell you the reason the measurements only go halfway up the container is because you are not to fill it beyond those markings. I saw the Blendtec rep shake the container and finally take the lid off and push the ingredients down with his hand. Blendtec doesn't have a tamper so use your hand??

  • Put your video where your mouth is JC. I'd like to see you do an actual comparison blendtec v.s. vitamix. Blend an entire container full of strawberries, raspberries, blackberries, blueberries, any kind of berries you want. put the same amount in each container and run both machines for 30 seconds and then strain the final product of both machines. Whichever blender has the fewest seed particles left over wins. After that you can do the peanut butter comparison, or salsa, or ice cream.

  • @fullbodyhealth Amen to this! ;-)

  • creates an earthquake?? blendtec sucks, and so does the scripting for this video.

  • @fullbodyhealth It is obvious you do not own a Blendtec or you would it is hands down the best blender ever made. I have the ICB7 and an HP3A and sold my Vitamix because the Blendtec was so much better. The Blendtec sucks everything into its whirring blade and subjects whatever you put in it to a 366MPH Stream of destruction that will pulverize avocado pits to a creamy consistency. It's OK when someone badmouths a product, but only when it deserves it. the Blendtec does not.

  • @fullbodyhealth Blendtec is the only blender that can pulverize raspberries, blackberries and strawberries to the point where the seeds are completely obliterated and this means that all the phytonutrients which are normally locked inside the seed are now released and your body will know it on a cellular level as it will benefit from their absorption.

  • @JCRamirez2 JC a little common sense here please. The faster the blade the smaller the particle. Will a blade traveling 28000 rpms do the work of a blade traveling 37000 rpms? I grind blackberries, raspberries, strawberries all the time and there isn't a trace of any seeds left in the Vita-Mix. Montel has a machine that runs 3000 rpms, now Blendtec can beat that machine but is not in the same league with the Vita-Mix. This video should compare to Montel's to Blendtec, that would be fair.

  • @josephtapper, you are talking out of your ass. Just check out Vitamix vs. Blendtec #316 for a side-by-side comparison. Blendtec blows the doors off of VM so easily, it is pathetic, all with less time, effort, or a silly tamper for manual assist.

  • My Blendtec container broke after a year and wasn't covered by the warranty. The container had a one year warranty and the machine a separate 3 year warranty. I returned the machine and bought a Vita-Mix which has a 7 year full warranty. Only $20 more. I should've done that in the first place.

  • @josephtapper Joe Tapper, THE Joe Tapper? Yes you SHOULD have gotten a Vitamix in the first place ;-)

  • @agapemom The Vitamix is an inferior blender to the Blendtecs. I have owned both a Vitamix and a Blendtec. I got my Vitamix at Costco after seeing the traveling salesperson give the schpeal. yes it is a good blender, but not a great blender. Once i tried the Blendtec, i can say I will never go back.

  • @JCRamirez2 How is 37,000 RPMs inferior to 28,000 RPMs??? How is having a tamper available to you if you need it inferior to not having one? How is a full capacity 64 oz. container inferior to a container that can't be filled to the top? Why do the world's top chefs use the Vitamix as opposed to the Blendtec? Why is Vitamix rated #1?

  • @agapemom, You are comparing apples to oranges. The Blendtec blade is longer so of course, I would expect VM's RPMs to be higher. Unless the blades are the same size and dimensions, RPMS don't mean squat. It is the SPEED of the blades that matter. VM's blade spins up to 240 MPH, and Blendtec's spins up to 300 MPH. Moreover, Blendtec achieves this speed with a longer, wider, and more massive blade than VM.

  • @agapemom, A blender that has to have a tamper will always be inferior to a blender that never needs one. Also, a Blendtec jar can be filled just as high as a VM. Moreover, if you are arguing for more capacity, Blendtec offers a 96oz jar, whereas VM only offers 64oz.

  • @josephtapper Hi Joe, the container is considered an expendable part and even the Vitamix will not cover the container in the 7 year warranty. The Blendtec will outperform any of the Vitamixes hands down. Do a little more research and you will be the wiser. I can't believe you are whining about having to buy a new container after a year. You spent $20.00 more, and got an inferior piece of equipment. in my book, that does not make any sense.

  • @JCRamirez2 LOL My Vita Mix container does have a 7 year warranty. You should visit August 07 consumer reports. Blentec was rated #2 and Vita-Mix was rated #1. June issue just came out and Vitamix again was rated #1 and Blendtec didn't even make a showing. They compared the top 100 blenders and came to this conclusion. What tests did you do? Vita-Mix runs 37000 rpms and Blentec goes 28000. For $20 more I got 7 year warranty head to toe including the container, THAT MAKE SENSE!

  • @JCRamirez2 For $20 more I got 7 year warranty head to toe including the container. $20 more for the #1 rated blender by many magazines with twice the warranty...THAT MAKES SENSE. Not one magazine has ever rated Blendtec over Vita-Mix, not one! Consumer Reports is very objective. They recommend a $40 blender to make smoothies but they said in all of their tests Vita-Mix rated the best. JC you have a solo opinion.

  • great video, thank you!

  • can you talk . loud like a men...you can heard yourlself...but not US..very bad sound!!...BUT THANK ANYWAYS

  • Not exactly a comparison. Just a rather windy commercial for the blendtec. And a claim that the thin 5th "side" makes a difference. Try to sell this based on something besides statistics. Not even a good commercial, quite frankly. This video sucks.
