@r25rjr --- That was just a few days after Katrina struck; There were volunteer police officers and firefighters from all over the country here helping with search and rescue, and helping restore order throughout the city. Kinda' like how durring 9/11 there were firefighters and volunteers from all over helping at ground zero.......

Its funny you say that... Just today at work i found out that my co-worker was the CEO of one of the biggest book store chains in British Columbia Canada during the 80's... now he works at a 12 dollar an hour job.... "because he likes staying active"

Little did i know that this man is worth a couple million dollars... i still cant/dont believe it.

I for one don't behave this nor have ever collected any handout (unemployment, food stamps, section 8 etc). I've been self reliant, always have been, thanks to God, my health and what little resources and skills I have. All it takes just one simple act of anything and you're up a creek. We're all just one paycheck, illness from being destitute. Why don't you try seek to understand first. Grow up.
