this review is stupid, i loved the movie, much better than i expected, long but never gets boring...... one MAJOR criticism though.... nicole kidman SUCKS.... her acting is unbearably bad, if only they used Kate Blanchet instead, then it would have been perfect.

This film was excellent, don't believe the critics. I've just seen it and am still buzzing from the enormity of the story, the spectacle, it was moving, it was funny. Yes, there were super corny moments and every possible Aussie cliche was displayed, but it's different when the film maker clearly means it to be a corny cliche. I was born and raised in Darwin, Northern Territory, and I thought this film was excellent. I want to pay my good money to see it again. Go see it :)

'Australia' is a fantastic film, so fantastic that i'm seeing it again this weekend and i rarely do that with films. It's stunningly shot and the way the storyline builds into a climax with the setting of WWII is brilliant. It didn't feel like three hours or whatever it was at all and i thoroughly enjoyed every second of it!

Australia was the most sophisticated and most mature movie of this decade. It was one of the best movies I've ever seen, it goes into the ranks of The Pursuit of Happiness.

The Movie was phenomenal. I just saw it yesterday and I can't wait to see it again. Yes it was nearly 3 hours, but it didn't feel like 3 hours.  If you didn't like the length, I can only assume that it's due to the modern attention span. Get over it. I didn't think the flipping genre thing was too much because the movie took the time to transition. I thoroughly enjoyed it, and if you haven't seen it yet, then what are you waiting for?

Exactly! It´s a Baz Luhrmann movie. So it has to be special. This man is a genius.

It deserves all awards of the world and 5 stars of 5.

This going to be an amazing, sweeping and huge movie in the old - Hollywood style à la Gone with the wind, Lawrence of Arabia, Casablanca or Out of Africa.

Everyone should watch the movie. It´s going to be a classic (all Baz movies do - he IS a god in movie making).

Like said in the review,the movie covers a whole bunch of different themes and thus needs 2 1/2 hours running time,so what is wrong with that?

I haven't seen a movie like this in ages and I'm sure its going to be wonderful,sweeping,grand,old-H­ollywood and what not.

I'm so going to watch this magnificent movie and hope that many many people out there will do the same!

It´s Baz,it has to be special!
