i use this setup a lot as well! but in BJJ. I go north south like that, then take his arm and do a shoulder lock kinda like americana. But one think I do differently is put the closest leg and the other guys closest leg, and lean over my shoulder more to have a better base. works good!

you may also achive a shoulderlock from the kesa variation applying the lock to the arm (at the elbow) as you would do the "heel hook" (on the heel)
