Can't forget Ronnie Curiton, Sulton, The Pryors, and The Williams Poly Baseball. Hey Tony Check Out Mr. Hank's Park In Ala. for Future Reference. It's Beautiful. GOd Bless Tone
Who cares about his weight... The man is a living legend, show some respect. Spent the better part of his life as a professional athlete, if he wants to have pizza and beer every night I think he's earned it.
No one "earns" the right to become morbidly obese like he has become. As a "living legend", he should set a better example of fitness as an athlete. Young people emulate athletes (rightly or wrongly) and looking like the Michelin manX2 is certainly a poor example. Gwynn is still a relatively young man, not some couch-bound oldster. He should know better.
If I had kids I would rather them grow up to be like Tony Gwynn, than the likes of Michael Vick or these steroid using frauds setting records today. Tony dedicated himself to doing San Diego proud, he has, and continues to do so, regardless of his weight.
The steroid users and Vick, the animal abuser, are admittedly despicable. Gwynn is far above them ethically, however, he is still a heart attack or diabetic waiting to happen. For himself, his family and his fans, he has to get off the gravy train. He's only 47, yet he walks like he's an old man. He probably couldn't even run 10 feet now without gasping for air. At his current rate, he will destroy his health. No amount of good will can make up for that.
You know what, you are right... he should probably stop making public appearances and stay at home all day. He's a disgrace and people should really protect their children from such a horrible person.
He can make all the public appearances he wants. Instead of taking the stretch limo, he can vigorously walk to them. Pretty soon, he might be able to run to them again. Oh, and no stopping at the local greasy spoon en route. Perhaps a spot of herbal tea instead!
Your comment is a waist! TG is one of the best players you will ever see and the fact that he played for one team no matter which one. it's what makes him what he is.
SWhy don't you give your computer to someone who can actually spell. Waist??? I think you mean waste. You should know, considering you probably work in "waste management."

I saw Gwynn broadcasting the playoffs the other night. My God, he's huge!! He must weigh 350 lbs. He really let himself go.
