  • oh... Will you, Will you be my Godfather?

  • @2199 right on man!

  • I really like the mafia kiss! very sense of respect, and who know the music of Michael began to kiss Kay???

  • Connie is my least favorite character in the entire Godfather series. Ungrateful bitch.

  • So much emotion, you don't see acting like this anymore.

  • 3:00 Is the moment michael is like ya i lied to you, this is who i am a "mobster" what are you going to do about it.

  • i don't really like Connie's acting here :/ she could've done better with the yelling crying and swearing

  • lol i KNEW this was the reference form blue mountain state and i never even watched this movie before

  • Blue Mountain State brought me here. LOL!

  • Damn shame the first wife died.........because she would have kept her mouth shut. Just like his own mother.

  • I like how that guy in the burgundy suit smiles at Michael when his hand gets kissed. Then calmly Walks to the door, grins at his wife & closes it. hahaha. it's just one of the greatest movie's of all time.

  • @AMGRULEZ The burgundy suit guy is epic looking. He also killed Barzini if i remember correctly, dressed up as a policeman.

  • @Heartlezzzz That's right; it's Al Neri. He kills Barzini, in the second one he kills Michael's treacherous brother, and in the third, much older, he kills the swindling Archbishop. The coolest supporting character!

  • Spectacular acting and writing. No wonder this has to be one of if not the best films of all time.

  • "Indesputable roof"

    ....laughed for hours.

  • one word, so much emotion : no.

  • liarr

  • riesce a mantenere la serietà e l'aspetto cattivo da gangster fino alla fine della scena...un grande!

  • Ok this is the first scene of a performance that probably cements Pacino's work as among the greatest of all time. It is not this scene alone, but the entire second movie, that shows how Michael ceased to be a mere man, but rather a Sicilian Don. In the second movie we see this process taking place in two generations: the father in flashbacks, the son in the narrative stream. Ironically, as each transformation takes place, the two men diverge. Vito becomes more himself; his son, less.

  • Epic

  • G status

  • Business is business my friend, so mind your own business!!! :) Me like business, you want to do business with me ;D

  • Greatest scene in the entire history of cinema. Period.

  • what a handsome sob.

  • Diane Keaton is actually hot in this movie.

  • Whenever anyone mentions The Godfather, Kay's heartbroken face as the door closes will always be the image that comes to mind.

  • Kay disliked this video.

  • one of, if not the greatest scene in film history

  • that door closing scene.. foreshadows Michael and Kay's relations ship...

  • every scene of this dam movie is pure gold

  • The First Godfather Movie is the best of the entire trilogy.

  • Don Corleone takes the throne

  • wowwwwwwwwwwwwww al pacino is so handsome

  • We grew up watching The Godfather, our children will grow watching never say never, god save us!

  • @ohwell94 definitely personal. i mean he abused his sister and threatened to kill her constatntly. and then teamed up with the familys enemies to try to kill Santino simply because he beat him up for touchin connie. let his ass rot it hell

  • if Kate was Italian then she would've known to keep her mouth shut lol..

  • shorty dipping in the wrong coolaid, you know the man's god ice water in his veins. You dont want to be his next "problem" do you. just sit back enjoy the ride.

  • Just taking a poll here.....Was killing Carlo business, retribution, personal or all three?

  • @ohwell94 killing him was personal because he hurt hissister, but he tried to pretend like it was just buisness.

  • @ohwell94 Carlo's death was business. He sided with Barzini to have Sonny killed due to his fear of him. Michael found out and had him killed for it.

  • @NewPhoenixFilm= Yeah, Connie is an ungrateful bitch. He did her a favor. The 9th Circle of hell is for traitors. Carlo is there now.

  • @vigo894 So is Tessio for what he did. Because he didnt think Mike had the balls to pull it off being a good don.

  • ''Stay Outta Mah Bidness''

  • its hilarious cuz if u look at it litraly, he isnt lying, cuz it wasnt him that strangled his sis' husband, his men did.

  • This movie is first about family, secondly about power and politics and lastly about necessary violence...all summed up to make for a very special movie, one of the best ever, if not the best.

  • @getclutch72

and i believe that there is also something about moral philosophy in the sense helping people for a future unkown service...and i agree with you that it is all about power and politics. family is always a part of power and politics...

  • Anyone who watches the film could understand how epic these words are: "Don Corleone"

  • the first wife is better then this cold hearted shrew.

  • When Kay asked Michael did he kill Carlo, he told the truth. He didnt kill Carlo.

  • @2199 LOL. Yes, technically, but come on fam, that's one hell of a hair split.

  • @HovaNirvana He ordered it....but he didnt do it......nah he did it. lol

  • Press 7 for the most memorable lie in Hollywood's history.

  • my favorite scene! Michael become 'Don'

  • Goosebumps. Everytime.

  • I love francis ford coppolla's way of directing this ending, because in the original novel it was written that kate would just accept it and there it ends, but coppolla's like, no let's look deeper into it =), I just love the first and second movies, OMG!! such amazing experiences =D

  • The closing of the door is a great way to end the scene, showing how Michael has closed the door to his old life, of which Kaye was a big part, and become part of the secret society his family already belonged to. So simple, yet so brilliant at representing the situation, at least in my opinion.

  • @warriorofwrestlingv3 that's one of the things i loved about the godfather - little underlying symbols like that throughout the film.

  • Best lying ever! This scene is great!

  • You should have left the ending tiles. Ending music is so important !

  • This scene is my favourite scene in the Godfather trilogy

  • @mooncakejay My favorite scenes are ALL of the first two movies

  • Indesputable roof that Al Pacino is the greatest actor who ever lived.

  • @Shelby596 Its a shame that his daughter Puts a stain on the Pacino family for shoplifting from a department . I mean why would you need to shoplift ?!?! Shes "Al Pacino's" daughter foR FREAKS SAKE!!

  • @nukeonator WTF are you talking about? She was picked up for DWI, she never shoplifted. Plus she said it was the dumbest thing she ever did and was really, really sorry it happened. BTW, what does this have to do with Pacino being the greatest actor who ever lived? Which he is.

  • @Shelby596 Oh cause when i heard the news they said she shoplifted from a department store so they probably mixed it up for something else. My bad. No doubt hes the greatest actor who ever lived but no matter who you are you always have haters and people will always be a douche and target that event and say hes a bad person because of what his daughter did . trust me the world is full of lots of douches who target the simplest of mistakes to degrade someone

  • @Shelby596 do you realize in the very same exact film, there is a actor called marlon brando? marlon brando is awesome. and al pacino is not in same league as daniel day lewis.

  • @malows1234 Al Pacino is not in the same league as Daniel Day-Lewis? Someone actually typed this sentence? Try the other way around. And I'm a fan of DDL.

  • @HovaNirvana LOL, fine Al pacino is in the leagues of Daniel Day-Lewis. but Al pacino is not like better than Daniel Day-Lewis. and now fucking listen. Daniel's There Will be Blood performance is equal to pacino's greatest performance, hell it may even beat pacino's performance.

  • @malows1234 no its not better just as good as Al's

  • @Shelby596

    Marlon Brando, man, Marlon Brando

  • @austinthebookworm5 I agree, but Pacino is still really good

  • @Shelby596 ... along with Robert De Niro, Jack Nicholson and Dustin Hoffman. They all owned the 70's

  • @Shelby596 yes better than deniro

  • @Shelby596

    What roof?

  • @Shelby596 and what about francis ford coppola, you know al pacino would not be as great as he is without coppola's help.

  • I always get the chills when al pacino smacks the table

    Great scene.
