where are the orchestral section, where the hell is george martin!!!!???? i think that this song together with an orquestral arrangement would work nice, pure beatles style.
Nice song. By the title, I thought Paul McCartney was in it. But regardless, the song is very Lennon/McCartney-ish. Thanks for the upload.
With Beatles in mind, I've posted the video, "40 years in 3 minutes", which is a music video containing the Beatles' rooftop performance, historical events over the last 40 years and 8mm film antics from the period, all cut tightly to GET BACK and GLASS ONION. Hope you enjoy!
Re-write and record the lyrics/vocals and I can guarantee a Grammy nomination (if released in the U.S. as a single). You guys have the musical talent to become a rock sensation in American soil.
If you guys currently have a producer, engineer, or manager, he/ she can send a demo tape, or in your case, an EP to Capital Records or any American record label (Capitol Records, Interscope, Resprise, etc.).
@TopherBlairMusic Obviously depends on how good you are at recording under pressure, but I asked the A.R. folks and they told me it was £2000 for a 12 hour day in Studios 2,3 & penthouse suite. Which leads me to believe that if you're quick, you probably need to knock a zero off your price :)
I showed this video to Paul McCartney and he said, " That's great! I bet they had fun don't this little number. You know, I would kill to make music like this again, but I've done my part. We've done our part. It's their turn now." :)
Awesome song, btw. Do you have an EP, Album...anything else?!? I MUST know! :D
Great Song, great voice, great sound and Production. Some day I'm gonna bite the bullet and travel from Canada to do some tracks there. I't must have been an awesome experience!! Can I buy the Wave File of This song? How long was the session from beds to master?
Hey Paul, I was in London a cuple of times, I was @ abbey road, I signed the wall and I even took a picture on the stairs but you went all the way, good for you, you just needed to find Paul Mccartney in the corredor on the way to the studio.
I thought this was going to be Paul McCartney lol but man this is awesome and it's so cool you used the same piano as them, did you use their amps and kit as well or were those yours?
@rockerr12595 well thanks! In fact it was the same piano The Beatles used, that made it even more special recording at Abbey Road...the amps and the drumkit we had to hire
The vocals sound like they were tracked like John's solo stuff: 3 tracks-main vocal center the left and right a click behind and a click ahead, respectivly?
Jesus, so it's not gonna win any Grammys ... big deal???
Sometimes music is about saying what you're thinking, and not trying to be some brilliant bloody genius.
9 out of 10 of you would be in a nostalgic, Beatley mood if you went to Abbey Road. Give the guys a break, it's a nice well meaning video. (Although maybe putting "Paul -second name-" would be more clear for people)
Fantastic, great work. I can really connect with you on what The Beatles mean, this really sent chills down my spine. Too bad the place has graffiti all over it.
You guys are so lucky to have done this. I'll be in London next month and the best I can hope for is a photo on the famous street featured on the Abbey Road album cover. Maybe a peek in the front door if I'm lucky! Must have been a blast! I am going to make a trip to Liverpool for a day as well. I can hardly wait. This was my life when I was a youngster. I still get such a kick out of listening to 'the boys'. Just like it was yesterday.
This is pure win, it really captured the old 1960's beatles feel while it still sounds modern at the same time.. Lyrically, its lacking but you can really hear that you're just singing out your dream to record at the beatles' former studio.
This is wonderful!! As a lifelong Beatles fan and Abbey Rd fanatic, I am so impressed! Sounds like the Beatles! What an amazing experience this must have been! I would have been in tears. What is the name of the band? I love it! You did Abbey and the Beatles proud!!!

Quite a clever game you're playing deleting your own replies so nobody knows what you're responding except me. It's allllmost as though you'd something to hide ;).
Okay let's be cryptic:
1) I'm certain it was.
2) Well, who wouldn't be, but that wasn't really my point. . . and my point is still valid regardless IMHO.
3) The title 'Paul and friends recording at Abbey Road' is deliberately manipulative and you can't deny it. There are worse songs? Well, duh! But even some of Yoko's top yours.
I wonder what your problem is. Im just a guy who chased a dream, and that was recording at Abbey Road, so why bother? If you could go there, you would! You know what, the next time Ill be there, youre invited, so you too can feel what the place meant to meand probably means to you.
This comment has received too many negative votesshow
You're right, i would. But I would not list my recording as 'Lennon at Abbey Road' (even if my name was Steve Lennon) because I'd know that people would assume it was John, and likely be irked that they'd been tricked. This is no mystery, this is exactly what you did, and you meant to do it to increase your views. If you hadn't done that we wouldn't be having this exchange, no matter what i thought about your song.
This comment has received too many negative votesshow
We wouldn't even be having this exchange if you'd posted your video under your full name. However I feel about this song and it's merits, or yours as an artist, it boils down to that. You know that you worked it deliberately. If I'd recorded at Abbey Road and posted it 'Lennon at Abbey Road' (even if my real name was Steve Lennon) I would expect people to be misled by the title. . .so I wouldn't have used it. You Intended to mislead people for more views. Cop To It. BTW, your Lennon video? Sick!
This comment has received too many negative votesshow
So, your response isn't showing here, though it is in my in-box. . .so I'll reply.
1) It was your 'friend's' money? Well, so you have rich friends. The point is, you pay the money, you get to record there. Anyone with money can do the same.
2) I'm jealous? Not of your music. Any musician fan would like to work there.
3) You used your name Paul on your video, not Logister.
You're a poser, and your lyrics are lame. The music sounds okay, but not original At All. You're just a fortunate wanna-be.
This comment has received too many negative votesshow
Well frankly, it just seems like some rich guy could afford to book time . . .then decided to post his video with a title that would lead Beatle fans to think it was Paul McCartney recording at Abbey Road in order to get views. I don't think the song's anything much either, but I'd have been more receptive to it if it hadn't been a Bait and Switch.
These recording in the very "inner Sanctum" where the beatles did their most important works are extremely well done, Ralphwinkler. Way much better than the so-called music we have today.
Well, if you ever get the chance say hi to them from Krujer! :-) It must be really awesome to meet someone of such caliber as they were in the 60´s. And also remember that when they, the Beatles, went to meet Elvis, they also were awestruck!
Een ge-wel-dig nummer! Echt waar, geweldig hoe de combinatie van stem en authentieke Abbey Road-sound is gebruikt! Ben er helemaal fan van! Ga zo door!
I know exactly what you mean, I'm a big fan meself and recorded there ten years ago, check out my vid on arnoldgutbucketone "ten years ago today" I loved every minute of being there, didn't want it to end.
Très très belle chanson dans l'esprit Beatles. je compte visiter les studios abbey road en avril 2012.

On my way to Abbey Road....Lyrics By Paul Logister
I'm on my way to Abbey Road, with a six string in my hand
I really hope they let me in, can't get this song out of my head
I'm on my way to Abbey Road, where I can sing like John and Paul
and exactly sound like them, so I might make it after all
Need to stand on holy ground, to find the words thats suit me well
Wonder if the walls will talk to me, so I can sing in perfect harmony

These recording in the very "inner Sanctum" where the beatles did their most important works are extremely well done, Ralphwinkler. Way much better than the so-called music we have today.
Congratulations! :-)

Well, thank you very much! We are also very pleased with the result.
ralphwinkler 3 years ago
Your welcome!
Have you ever met any of them, Paul, Ringo, George Martin?
krujjer 3 years ago
Unfortunately not. We did not have the pleasure. But it was amazing anyway!!!
ralphwinkler 2 years ago
Well, if you ever get the chance say hi to them from Krujer! :-) It must be really awesome to meet someone of such caliber as they were in the 60´s. And also remember that when they, the Beatles, went to meet Elvis, they also were awestruck!
Cheers!

Chris Bolster was our Engineer too, was Pete the assistant? Chris is a big fan of SouthPark, and talking like a yankie, he was funny as hell! Cheers-

Een ge-wel-dig nummer! Echt waar, geweldig hoe de combinatie van stem en authentieke Abbey Road-sound is gebruikt! Ben er helemaal fan van! Ga zo door!
