It may be easier to use a spoon rather than a butter knife. Just a small spoon, though. Hold it against the material on the side the prongs are coming out and the spoon will (should, atleast) fold the prongs as you're pushing the stud through. Just an idea, though.

Hmm, do the stud secures ever poke you when you wear your shorts or do the folded in edges lay flat enough not to bother you? I wonder if it might be a good idea to sew on, or if someone hasn't done this yet secure the studs, under a layer of fabric?

dip dying is pretty simple you just tie your hair at the nape of your neck then you can tie your hair again at the point where you want your hair dye to go up to, put a towel under your hair then just apply the hair dye on your hair

I've done this to a couple jeans and when you put the stud through the fabric you "fold" the ends down to kind of seal the fabric, to close the stud so it can stay so it wouldn't poke out and hurt you. And I haven't had them fall form washing/ drying. Just trying to help answer some questions :]

I've used these for years... I always stud my leather jackets and on the pockets of jeans... never actually through where it would touch my skin, it can get irritating. I use a thimble to press mine down. Great vid, love your customising vids! :D
