Community organizers are horrified that a private corporation such as Green Dot could hide behind front groups like Parent Revolution. We find it repugnant that Ben Austin continues to call the hard working teachers in our communities child molesters. Support students, parents, and UTLA instead of funneling tax dollars into Steve Barr's oppulent Silver Lake home.
L.A. Parents Union, effectively an astroturf front group for Green Dot, is funded for the most part by Billionaires Eli Broad and William Gates. Hardly advocates of progressive education or social equality. What the 'Parent Revolution' does do is it dupes parents into supporting organizations like Green Dot which pays massive salaries to Barr, Petruzzi, and Austin. Let's support students, parents, and UTLA instead of funneling our tax dollars into Ben Austin's lavish Beverly Hills Bungalow.
