It's not the game's actual music. NES could NEVER have supported real music like that back in 1988. This game lives on in my top 5 games of all time, and I am LOVING the xbox live version. Can't wait for the new one in January!!!

take out your NES and play the game again, it isn't that hard, I played it through yesterday, just kill a lot of parachute guys in the first level and take the bullets from them so you can get those green dots that protect you. Then just get a lot of continues by killing the jeeps and heavy armor guys in the levels that happen when you collide with trucks on the map.

I like this game alot, and I only wish they put this on XBLA but, is the main characters name... Super Joe? Super?? wow... that's bad.

The main Character's name is Radd Spencher. Super Joe is the wounded soldier he's carrying while on that Helicopter sequence, he was the original soldier sent to stop Master-D, but failed and was captured.

The original mission was dedicated to just rescuing Super Joe, but it blossomed into a stop the Badds mission as they were cloning their nefarious leader Master-D.

Fun Fact: In the Japanese and European version, the Badds are Nazis and Master-D is Hitler.

Yeah, in the original japanese, the game was about a plot to ressurect hitler, and the enemies were specifically referred to as Nazis. All of this was censored from the US release. (I'm smazed the head explosion made it through though.)
