Cartoon Network got a new president in 2007. He got rid of Toonami, as well as many of the good shows. In 2007, he started getting rid of many of Toonami's best shows, while cancelling the regular good cartoons on the network.

In 2009, he got rid of Toonami all together. He got rid of Toonami because he wanted Flapjack and Reality shows. However, he JUST GOT TERMINATED/REPLACED!

The 1990s cartoon network president is back! Toonami may return! Research it!

I'm telling alot of people this. I will tell you also. Toonami got off the air because Cartoon Network had a new president. That new president began ruining Toonami in 2007, and in 2009 he got rid of it all together.

He did not want action shows on the network, he wanted Flapjack and reality shows. Anyway, he just got FIRED/replaced. The ORIGINAL 1990S cartoon network president is now back. So, Toonami may come back.

What caused toonami to go was the change of presidents from Jim Samples to Stuart Snyder following the mooninite bomb scare, a change in the what the demographic wanted on cartoon network, and what I can only amount to the loss of rights for a lot of the shows that were on toonami (I imagine). Still, it would be great to have toonami back with dragon ball, naruto, and other. preferably unedited
