  • how in the hell is that rake at 1:38 achieved? its amazing. Always tried to figure out how he pulled that sound off!!

  • love it

  • I woke up to heavy rain. I turned this on before I could even open my eyes fully; and with a side of eggs it may just be the best way I've started my day all week.

  • love

  • Can't stand all the damned nonsense about the dislikes and trying to get noticed, nor do I discredit someone else's musical opinion, but god damn how the hell someone doesn't like this song is beyond me.

  • How would he smoke when playing without the smoke coming up to his eyes? I'm having a hard time doing that lol

  • this is suuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuch a chilled out jam.. iloveit

  • 9 people drank too much and misclicked.

  • holy mother of ... nasttyyyyy!!

  • 7:10 - 7:20 ...... wow.

  • Damn, he could make guitars weep.

  • @MrCaptainNerdy He IS making his guitar weep man...

  • When hearing this song, does anyone else think of having a slow one with Molly Ringwald in the front seat of a chopped car in shop class?

  • How can you possibly dislike this? That option should be disabled on this video.

  • Nothing better - before or since.....

  • Rest in peace brother, you are not forgotten

  • i could have swore he was black o.O

  • THAT'S MUSIC YOU CAN UNDERSTAND AND BETTER THAN THE CRAP THEY HAVE TODAY......

  • @NITROSPLASH002 this is definitely a classic, but a have to disagree. there are phenomenal bands today, you just have to search. i can show you music that will make you lose and find yourself in one track!

  • @xxhatedgexx PLEASE DO!

Have you ever seen the video of SRV playing with Midge Marsden in an advert for 'Europa Fuels'? A great KIWI classic. Search: Midge Marsden and you'll see them, chur bro ;)

  • R.I.P. Stevie

  • 1:37 Whaaam!

  • 5:00-5:32 makes me really happy

  • wow, this song is just so true. it speeks without words, its amazing <3 <3

  • I'm a metalhead, and I even love this song, it's beautiful

  • This is Magic!!!!

  • One of the greatest songs recorded by one of the greatest guitarist in the history of man...

  • my dad intoduced me to this. when i was young, i liked lame shit and didnt think much of this.

but, now days i cant stop watching srv. thanks dad.

  • @misterdeadhead My dad is the reason I listen to him too. I had an SRV song played at my dad's funeral, too. It was something we definitely shared.

  • @EmoMaybe dude thats weird. for some weird reason i thought about what i was going to play for him the otherday. and i thought, definantly SRV.

  • @misterdeadhead He hated Amazing Grace and they were going to play that at his funeral. So I walked up to the funeral director and told her there was no way in hell they were playing that and handed her an SRV CD and told her to play Pride and Joy. And she sure did!

  • @EmoMaybe hell yea. you served him well man.

  • @misterdeadhead Woman, actually. But it's cool :)

  • This man stole my heart when I was 3 years old!

  • Get lost in the music

  • God Bless SRV!!!!

  • Truly one of the greatest song's Ive ever heard.

  • Who let 8 ACLU lawyers comment?

  • Incredible!

  • 1:12

wouldn't it be about time to shake the ashes off? :D

  • one of the greatest guitar pieces ever. in my opinion.

  • it still gives me chills everytime i hear it....its like i hear it for the first time every time!

  • who can dislike this song? music at its best... rest in peace stevie.

  • who could dislike this music at its best

  • Too much borrowed from his little wing instrumental, or is it vice versa?

  • @7th75thCallaghan Not to brag, but I can play parts of both songs on the guitar, and I can say there are little to no similarities, except that both songs are fuckin beautiful.

  • @7th75thCallaghan Little wing came afterwards. At least for him

  • @petie58 Ah, thanks that's interesting to know. I really prefer his 'improv' on little wing over this though. I'm sure he had already jammed little wing before writing Lenny at least.

  • Free your mind.

  • Lenny and Riviera Paradise... i don´t have words to express how genius SRV was when made it...

  • He sounds a lot like Slipknot. :)

  • @zigz1 wtf?

  • @zigz1 you're trolling right?

  • @mezza902 Maybe... :3

  • For those of you who don't know about Stevie Ray Vaughn, he walked out on stage with his guitar during a Jazz festival in New York with Mick Jagger present watching and the crowd of blacks starting yelling boo because they never seen a white blues man, but when Stevie started to play, he blew their asses away and Mick Jagger helped him gain stardom. How's that for some history:)

  • He gets a lot of felling by smokeing

  • 1 guy made 7 different accounts and disliked this video..

  • Then maybe your basing your top 3 in the world players on whether you can imitate them or not. I think it's all relative. How can anyone say who the best is or who is in the top 10 or top 100. It's a matter of opinion in my opinion. Steve Vai is every bit as good or better then SRV but again, that's just my opinion which I am entitled to just like everyone else. I will agree that SRV is not like anyone else.

  • @TrevorFichtner Steve Vai is not even close to SRV, not even close to wear his guitar case, not to mention anything else.

  • @tokiluv1 He'd look a bit silly wearing his guitar case. I think you mean his hat.

  • stevie ray vaughan was amazing and he is/was my idol he is amazing and i im learning a load of songs by him including this one thank you SRV:)

  • is anyone here named lenny? 'cause this should be played at your funeral.

  • i'with i'was his wife

  • absolutely beautiful....Lenny youse one lucky woman......

  • awesome and beautiful at the same time.

  • From 3:40 to 4:05 I just went to... I don't know, somewhere I felt extremely mind blowed, damn it, this little lick was like LSD to my ears

  • 03:40 to 04:20 is absolutely mind blowing. Stevie goes from sweet and soft to badass and powerful in a few licks....

  • Nice play by SRV

  • never has there been more feeling for one love as this.

  • Thats how you make the guitar your bitch!!! amazing playing!

  • Great feel...soulful...the best of Stevie!!!!

  • Great feel...soulful...the best!!!!

  • Passion! pure Passion!!!

  • john mayer isn't a hair on stevie's ass.

  • @traigogoodmusic the truth!! i'm glad someone agrees

  • @traigogoodmusic srv is srv, john mayer is john mayer, don't compare them

  • Incredible.

  • I love this song, so intense... my man plays like his style... thank god for steve..food for the soul

  • this is the shit

  • Ya know, I've listened to this song hundreds and hundreds of times over the years, and it has never ceased to get me welled up.

    :wipes face:

Few have ever reached this level of combined virtuosity and feel. Goes without saying his was a great loss.

Thank science for the ability to record and playback these beautiful examples of what humans can achieve...

  • waking up in the morning, having a cup of coffee, put this song on and realize we all need love and support to get by

  • this song changed my life..its y i play guitar so much. It has become my life my passion. This one needs no words at all..stevie my friend thank you. You have helped me on so many days when i was down..your blues are my pure bliss.

  • SRV was the first artists pops every got me into and outta all the music i listen to now i always go back to SRV at some point... It kills me knowing that god took one of the Earth's greatest musicians for his own pleasure. When I die I want little wing by SRV cover played at my funeral.

  • Dude if you guys don't have it you need to get the whole live at el mocambo.. pure orgasm in your ears.

  • In case anyone was wondering what the odd undulation was just behind the bridge its the mark left by a floyd type bridge being removed. Dave Gilmour had a guitar with that same mark and his guitar tech filled it in with some mystery material. thats why it has those wierd bumps. just a bit of trivia for you. you can see it from 0:19 to 0:29

  • ho man words cant explain the music does aaaalllllll the talkin on this one you dont have to play the guitar just gotta have love thats all piece of mind uuuuuhhhhh mans got soul so much i gotta sister named stevie rae and thats the truth

  • ho man words cant explain the music does aaaalllllll the talkin on this one

  • Best blues ever played with a tremolo bar!

  • i think you have to play the guitar to understand what this song means :)

  • I sat in the El Mocambo in Toronto years later , it was spookey how nothing had changed in their since the night the Texas trio rolled in . It was very uplifting for me , at the time I was playing with my trio 4 nights a week for two years solid . I sat there alone that night looking at the stage . Stevie , Tommy and Chris were there in spirit . Love you guys.

  • I'll eat my sayin', shut my thinkin' and hear my achin'

  • Today i decided to get a few of this man's songs...When i heard this song for the first time I was BLOWN AWAY!!! I've never heard a song with so much emotion and soul poured into it. If only I had been born early enough to have seen him live. It would have been an amazing expeience. Just cant get enough of this!!! :D

  • this one of the most beautiful songs may Stevie R.I.P

  • the best guitarist that ever lived!

  • Steve Vai voted 6 times against this one...

  • MUSICA NA ALMA!

    MUSIC IN YOUR SOUL FOREVER!

  • When SRV died...I cried.

  • fucking unqualified pilot =/

  • the best of my generation, hands down

  • This one song is better than Steve Vai's entire career.

  • @Baadger amen to that

  • @Baadger steve vai is the modern him

  • @IXECSTACYXI steve vai plays shred, rock and metal...the two players are completely different

  • @mariosuperlative nah not my point man, i mean it as in, they are both very technical guitarist for their times.

  • @Baadger W.T.F....DICK

  • You absolutely must be kidding. Obviously, you haven't spent much time studying Vai who by the way is offering courses at Berklee.. Maybe ya might want to take one if you qualify.

  • @TrevorFichtner Steve Vai is also a VERY good guitarist, i would put him up there with Jeff Beck, Eric Johnson, Dwayne Allman... as one of the top 20 best guitarist ever (Jeff Beck is really closer to top 10) but he is not in the same class as SRV. SRV is in the top 3 (IMHO). i own CD's DVD's, and play sheets from all these guys, and in my 18yrs of playing i have found no one harder to immulate than Stevie

  • @Baadger AGREE !!!

  • One of the best examples of 'sharing your gift' I've ever seen/heard. Totally inspiring!

  • It takes me forever to learn SRV songs. He's just so...good god. He's fantastic. My favorite guitar player of all fuckin' time. He's the reason I play and KEEP ON playing.

  • could be playing guitar for 10 years and learn this note for note..and it still wouldnt sound as good as this

  • @deans19891. Play for 10 years and do your own version my friend. Its all impro. Its all in your mind. Just learn how to do it on a fretboard! :)

  • Never missed a lick never missed a beat

  • If God played guitar, this is what it would sound like. This guitar tone makes me cry of pure joy, (and the fact that I'll never be a fraction as good) and this is the only man that ever or ever will exist that is capable of it. R.I.P. SRV, how I wish I could have been born in time to see you in person.

  • know i know why i first picked up a guitar..this is what its all about

  • STEVIE RAY VAUGHAN TENIA UN ESTILO INIGUALABLE Y A MI PARECER DE LOS MEJORES QUE HA Y PODRA EXISTIR, DESGRACIADAMENTE CADA VEZ MENOS PERSONAS DISTINGUEN LAA BUENA MUSICA, RECOMIENDOLO A TODOS.

  • best 8 minutes on youtube?

  • @platoinaninjasuit best 8 minutes on youtube.

  • i have tried to smoke a entire cig like him while playing, how the fuck is he doing?

lol amazing song...and the way he plays it ... he feels the music so much. by the way love this guy

  • Next to Wild horses by rolling stones i think this is the only song that always give me wet eyes. So incredibly great felling this man had for the art of guitar-playing.

  • did someone say, "drink some fuc*ing water"?

  • what a feeling, the best i´ve ever heard.

  • @Cornaboy22 Yeah this is great.Check out the srv lenny in tokyo....i think it tops this one.But this is great, just my opinion.

  • mad Goosebumps yo

  • an all inclusive song

  • i frm Ireland and i listen to alot of different music and artists id i can honestly no one's music speaks to me as much as this mans

  • 7:08
