I really miss the old rainbow six days. Just things as simple as being able to slice corners make me wish they kept it with Vegas 1 and 2. Hopefully the next R6 game will be more tactical like the old ones.
Must be a really good mod then, to have Ubisoft discern it a threat to the sales of a very modern game. If that's the case, then you speak the truth, friend. A free downloadable mod does sound a lot more appealing than a 50 dollar ps3 game. Haha!
@Leone982 Yep, it seemed good. They kept the base of the game, but ameliorated the graphics and sounds, ridded the game of most of its problems, and there weren't a lot, changed some of the equipement to be more realistic AND likeable, made a whole new campaign, and upgraded the planning system to be able to control nearly every movement of the squads, still realisticly.

"Thanks to the staff at UBI forums, we were able to get to the bottom of the "cease and desist" fiasco. Turns out UBI never made that call -- it was someone in the community using Caller ID spoofing. So RavenShield 2.0 is legal again."
I love this game, but I hate the smoke grenade. The enemy's reactions to them are unrealistic. A more realistic take would be that the terrorists cough, panic and run, or shoot upon seeing a smoke grenade go off!
@Leone982 I agree, but want to correct : smoke grenades don't make people cough. Lacrymogenes give coughs, eye aches, and burning-like lungs. But fumigenes just block eyesight, disorientating the ennemy. In reality I mean. All the other things you said, you're right. But the game is already great so...

So not only won't they give us a good Rainbow six, but no one can ? That's definitely fuc--d up ! Why did they even give modding tools if they don't want anyone to make a good popular mod ?

I doubt Ubisoft makes anymore money out Raven Shield in particular, so allowing its release probably wouldn't have an effect on them in anyway. Weird. But then again, who am I to say such things. can some1 explain the whole planning thing to me=.. i do know how to set waypoints and stuff but how u make ur pc know ur a sniper team and snipers fire at will stuff,,,, i just dont get it plz help
@djsd007 Well try, try, try only snipers will listen to hold fire also they will report to you if they have target, you can make ur crew move in 3 mods (engage all, infiltrate, recon) its completly up to you how you gona finish the mission .
@TheCrimsonSabre if u want to do any recon mission , try to type like cheat completeMission , but u must write this to console which enable with key under esc i think . sry for my language im from slovak republik
Man this brings back memorys. Tried to install it again but Im having problems getting the old game to work. Heard you can get it on Steam for 5$ and some people still play, around 200 online still. Grrr I want to kill some tangos.
This was by far the best R6 game ever put out. If UBI ever makes a Raven Shield 2 Id buy it in a heart beat.

I recently got back into RvS and you're right, the number of people playing online definitely went down since the last time I played.
It really is a shame more people don't play this awesome game.

Co-op is much easier than single player because u have crappy bots that cant do much a real human player. 5 stars.
