My grandmother's life was saved fifty years ago, because of a pig. When she died, her heart had more pig valves than human ones. This was one of her favorite movies, and this was her favorite part. Every day I miss her.
@3122tan I had corrected that back when I initially posted the video, it is the first comment on the Vid: 'JAMES' Cromwell, not 'ARTHUR' Cromwell. The intial confusion was because, the character he played in BABE was named Arthur... Farmer Arthur Hoggett.
@Angellbaby3426 I think so, considering the comment is 'over a year with no dislikes: I can change this'. Lame troll person that probably likes the clip/movie & just want to put a dislike on a 100% liked video.
This is one of my top five, or maybe three, movie scenes. I guess it's my favorite. What makes it special is the setting, the song, and the story. I've tried to buy this song for years and am so pleased to finally find it on Youtube. You'd have to have a heart of stone not to cry while watching it.
I love the movie, and having animals, it actually brings tears to my eyes. I remember when my oldest one was sick...I took care of him, as did other family...and he's 11 now.
@VivaLaEquus Well what do you expect from a person with the username "annoyingkid37" just sounds unpleasant form the start. And your right, he is a sicko.
Farmer Hogget was such an underrated aspect of this movie. Babe had as much of an impact on him as he had on Babe. He went from a passive, almost emasculated man whose actions were predictable into a character full of life and willing to take chances like he did at the end of the film. What an inspired performance, spectacular character and talented actor.
It's actually James Cromwell, not Arthur, and he had been a vegetarian (someone who does not eat animals) since 1974 but went vegan (a strict vegetarian who eats no animals or animal products like eggs or cheese) while filming Babe.
@rhylast Same, that is why I uploaded it. Was one of those little scenes in a movie I couldn't believe it was SO impossible to find on YouTube, coz it's a classic, so I uploaded it. Apparently A LOT of people agree, it is far & away my most viewed video. And the fact that working on this movie made Cromwell a vegetarian shows what integrity he has as a person. Love the last scene where all the animals are watching him.
i asaw this film when i was a little boy, and it is a bit cool to see it the day today, cause i saw it when there was only whs movies and that stuff :D
@XzantozX I loved this little scene too that is why I spliced it out of the movie & uploaded it.... was annoyed when I couldn't find it on Youtube so I thought I should put it on Youtube coz it is such a sweet scene.
@mellowswish James Cromwell sounds british doesnt he? but in reality hes american and his full name James Oliver Cromwell take out the name James hes the King of England after King Charles was executed
I sing this every day to my crush. He still doesn't know what i'm trying to convey to him, or where this song came from. Dangit.
