@valleystylez1 I think 30 sec is the longest but some cameras come with BULB mode wich allows you to have your shutter open as long as the shutter release button remains depressed, but I think you'll need a remote contro with lock function otherwise you'll be needing someone to help you with the shutter botton.

think it will be a better option to have a cable release and put it in bulb mode so that the camera will not have to wait for the exposure to be done if u end early and waste time processing the light and mapping out the noise in-camera..especially if you are shooting in jpeg..
the length of exposure has to be for this shot 30 seconds...i used google and noticed, that your camera isnt able to exposure for such a long time (just 1/8 s).
@eloeloelo95 maybe for a 2 second exposure that would make a difference, but for 30 seconds, the fraction of a second you have your hand on the shutter shouldn't even be noticeable.
