Actually, when a digimon evolves, they download data into themselves to do it, so their evolutions usually happen in an instant, but because they're on the internet, they are limited by the slow internet download speed of the year 2000, so it will take much longer evolving

Maybe it's just me, but when I first watched this movie in Japanese I kind of felt like the music was lacking something compared to the English version. It's probably just weird not hearing the Digimon theme music or hearing them go "__Mon Digivolve to..." every time they Digivolve.

Digivolving don't take much time at all, 5-10 seconds tops. Infermon is just that fast

Now this one has the feel of Digimon and an anime. This one makes you feel and has the potential to get your heart racing. The american version sucked big time and I'm not exaggerating. The cliche lines and jokes? Ugh. I couldn't handle'em. When I watched it I was like, how the heck can the series(I watched the original) be so awesome and this movie so...stupid? Good thing I found out it was altered and the original exists somewhere ^_^ Thanks for uploading.

im a major sub fan and all but seeing the japanese digimon for the first time and comparing voicing and sound... hm... Was there a lack of suspense during the fighting in the english dub? And i personally find the enlgish voices to sound more appropriate lol... i guess thats the result of growing up with dubs, however really though. I just checked the dub now lololol. The dubs sound choice was more better.. ah well guess it doesnt matter

It's kinds strange, because in the very first episode it was shown, that the evolution-sequence actually freezes time for everyone else, exept the Digimon and it's owner. (Kuwagamon frooze in midair, while the Digimon entered Rookie-level)
