  • Tennis is so beautiful to watch

  • Amazing!!! How is it possible at 8:10!? I love Fabrice!!

  • WHOA! Santoro can compete!

  • roger federer is a sick man .. :D

  • Federer the can smasher

  • this remains one of the best matches I've ever seen. For an old guy to push Federer this much during his prime is outstanding. I miss you Santoro.

  • two unique players. Magical Fabrice and Genius Roger. What a breathtaking video) 10 minutes goes like 1 second. One of the best tennis Highlights i've ever seen. I think that such players as Santoro will never be again on ATP. He is tennis special one.

  • 00:10 better than fed's twener ?

  • @Marijuana645

a lot of players do tweeners since a long time (who recalls Sabatini ?) but the lob tweener santoro did one day is maybe the best

    see at /watch?v=A5UtvvK5fMw

  • anyone else watching this thinking

    "Damn, Federer was really good.."

  • @imabroncofan7 Not really, when I watch him today, I just think of how much he has declined and unsurprisingly so, the guy is getting older. When I think of Federer, I'll always think of how well he played in his younger years, even in 2002, 2003.

  • @MaratSafinVideos thats what i just fucking said. federer was really good.

  • @imabroncofan7 not really. His BH was shit by today's standards, plus his FH is as powerful as today.

  • wow good match

  • 4:14 - 4:22 " a lot of winner being hit", "that's exactly right, obviously most by Federer" LMFAO

  • tha'ts real tennis right there!!! a genius against a hard-worker.

  • @tenis993 santoro is more of a genius than federer tbh, the shots that he plays are crazy

  • Take note, this was an aging Santoro facing Federer in 2006 GOAT-form. Amazing.

  • Clearly, nobody out-tricks Le Magicien. The ATP World Tour is not the same without Santoro.

  • Federer playing at this level would put Nadal out riding a tricycle of the court.

  • Both are the height of talent, the only difference is the scope and power of Federer.

  • So lets analyze this... we got one player that hits pure one hand shots (Federer), and we got another that hits pure two hand shots (Santoro). Coincidence? I think so. But hey, if it works... it works.

  • 2:32 hahahahahah

  • This guy has the ugliest forehand i've seen

  • @aznboi1398 Actually, he hasn't got any real "forehand" (We can't call that a forehand in my opinion) ;). But, as you can see, he played a great and amazing tennis so... If it worked... It worked ;). He was already an old player in that match... And Federer is the best tennis player ever. An amazing match!

  • @MrGuiCube Just because he has a double handed forehand doesn't mean that it isn't a forehand, that's like saying a backhand isn't a backhand because one may use a double hander. A forehand simply means that the palm of the dominant hand is facing the direction of the stroke, which is still true in this case. Everyone has a forehand.

  • @MaratSafinVideos Hum, I didn't think like that ! But your point of view brings me a new way to analyse that case ! Now, when I look at the situation, it clearly appears that you're right ;). Thank you guy !

  • @MrGuiCube Haha, just watch him like I do now and become very frustrated that he's making errors that he never would have before. Watching him is not good for the health sometimes.

  • that's the tennis of my dreams.

  • who is this guy Santoro

  • what a perfect encounter

  • damn Santoro is good... but Federer is still better.

  • Federer, Santoro...Shot makers!

  • it's a pleasure for my eyes , very very biutiful game

Sorry for my english i'm french

  • one of the best match of the decade

we could make a 30mn highlights

  • click the link, check the Likes and Dislikes, say OMG i have to watch this!

  • one of the most entertaining matches ive ever seen

  • Santoro is talented and very unusual tennis player, fed is monster tank who just destroys with great performance. So santoro's ticks can pass through Novak or others, but not through fed. He knows when to keep the ball on game from baseline, what to expect from opponent and when to terrify game.

  • @gasan4ik123 I think a young Santoro would have defeated Federer that day, but we will never know :P

  • Two unquestioned legends of shotmaking.

  • Comment removed

  • This Fed would destroy Novak.

  • Santoro is a freak and fun to watch. 7:39 behind the back, haha... crazy.

  • Federer learned how to hit tweeners from Santoro lol

  • I think Federer incorporated the tweener into his game after this match :)

  • this is the first time i see federer getting lobbed...... still the king though

  • santoro is a great example of what placement can do

  • It is a privilege to live nowadays and be able this gentleman playing tennis. This match, particularly, was a show, outstanding, I watched it live and I felt blessed for that,

  • Atomic tennis!

  • Practically all shots in this video are amazing...

    Love these two players!

My personal favorite shot is the winner in the point starting at 7:08...

    Such torture, spinning away :D

  • Santoro is brilliant ! I love his refreshing style

  • that was a good match

  • wtf, this guy has no forehand?

  • @nybombs slice two handed forehand -_-

  • @nybombs No. He is a magician.

  • @nybombs 2:28 looks like a forehand winner... ;)

  • @nybombs yes he has a 2 handed forehand

    watch some wta tennis

2 handed forehand is weary comon there

  • @mrSnakeeye20 I watch WTA tennis, I've only seen one that do that... "weary common there." wtf? Do you watch tennis in Mars?

  • @nybombs

Bartoli, Morita, Niculescu, Para Santonja, Peng, Kucova, Nakamura, Hradecka...

  • @nybombs Yeah, it's two-handed, Sherlock. By your reasoning, I guess guys with one-handed backhands have 'no backhand' ; )

  • santoro was an ambidextrous pro player...cool

  • @23remoh actually he is right-handed, but he plays forehand and backhand with both hands. his right hand is always the 'leading' arm

  • @Keytaster yeah that's wierd

  • @Keytaster yeah that's weird .. ^_^

  • Santoro is amazing Federer is boring

  • @allemagne92 100%.. correct! I want more Santoro's in tennis!

  • it appears like federer versus monica seles... minus the grunt... hahaha

  • Federer's technique and variety, especially in the second half of this video, is scarily good. Simply tennis perfection. Watch his smash on Santoro's excellent lob at 7:36 for example. That footwork is unreal.

Really entertaining match-up, this... the trickster vs. the master.

  • Santoro played a really great match, but I would hardly say that he pushed Federer to his absolute limits. It was just a really competitive match.

  • @3timeMVPNash Looked like Federer was giving 100% that match, I think that Santoro just couldn't get a break and win a set to make this go on longer.

  • It is such a beautiful game: two master tacticians trying to outplay and outsmart each other using their genius and skills, rather than grinding each other to death. However, it was Federer, the more complete tennis player and better athlete (as evident in his superior form and footwork) who deserved the win.

I find it strange how Sontoro has no effective forehand (is it just me, or was he really using a two-hand forehand?)...he was definitely lacking a major weapon.

  • As far as I can tell Santoro had to stretch way more than Federer!

  • @001FJ, Yes. Absolutely. But Federer must have been most defied in this match than any of his other straight sets win.

  • wow Santoro has crazy style, but hes great player. thx for upload
