Wouldn't it be a little weird if He was singing, "I've been an awful good girl" or "Think of all the fellas I haven't kissed." C'mon people, lighten up. He has hardly any originals and when i hear people comparing him to Frank Sinatra and all the other Crooners it makes me cringe lol His voice is a cheap karaoke version of all the great classic. @jdmc94109 I do not believe that is the case buddy. It would be weird if Michael Buble, (a man) sang a song basically confessing his love for Santa (Another man). It's much smoother referring to him as a buddy or pal. Just sounds better ya know. Have a swell day buddy :)

Let's keep the holiday cheer a little less double-standardy shall we? And, for the record, the song is about someone flirting to get what they want, not being in love or being in a relationship. So the changing of a single word isn't capable of doing much to differ from the original flirtatious theme of the song.

You also have to look at the fan base Michael is trying to reach and for him to sing a song calling Santa, baby, and saying I've been an awful good girl, and with the way the media is, it may cause some problems questioning Michael's sexuality or something. That's something that can be easily avoided by just simply mixing the words up.
