@pathfinder3016 wow really? i just said that b/c my friend andy had an s2000 and he did that all the time and when he traded it in a year later the transmission was slipping.
@Inuyashatg98 Why would you need to get a whole new clutch lmfao, youll need to get one if you pussy foot around on your clutch and hold it in all the time.
That's how it should be done. Eff the syncros! It's all part of racing, if your too worried about messing something up then you need to find a new hobby! Nice shifting man!
@demonsparkx The only way I'm aware of that involves using no clutch is starting in first for example with the clutch, then pull it out of gear without the clutch and wait for the RPMs to fall to the right range for 2nd and simply push it into place. But that's very slow because you have to wait for the revs to fall down to the next gear range, plus you might grind the gears a few times =]
so you can drive a car and 50mph then have it at 7000rpm and just kick in the clutch still with ur foot on the gas and shift and it wont mess up the car ??
Dude, i have a cough and i was watching this video. I almost started choking such a hilarious video. Exactly how a 4 cylinder is ment to be treated. im so happy right now
@xxnissansilviaxx LOL well because some people are stupid. And would rather be like he I am cool look at me I can shift quick. You can do it but after time it won't last long. Some people are just stupid lol.
Nice WRX. On the fully modded in-car pull vid thats a pretty hard launch. You can do that, but over time I doubt it will last. Get my point? Don't be so judgemental.
@pathfinder3016 Been doing it for years and it's holding up like a champ :). When your car is BUILT to do that sort of thing it will last. But a bone stock car won't hold up to that kind of abuse for long.
@getalife04 Well, that may be, and i'm not arguing whether it's hard on the car or not. I don't care, I enjoy beating on it and if it breaks, it breaks. The car is 100% stock, all factory, 53,000 miles drives just like day 1. It's not like I drive like this from stop light to stop light.
@NINJAKIWI1 Its that same thing. WOT shifting, flat foot shifting, power shifting, and No lift shift are just different ways to say it. Subaru guys usually say flat foot shifting, SRT-4's say WOT, and cobalt SS guys usually say No lift shift, all depends where your coming from.
Hey hey !!!! like your vid. and can you briefly explain the moment when you start shifting your gear stick and the time you stomp the clutch ? cause everything is happening in a flash
damn suckk a smooth shifter n a fit wtf. step it up to a rwd

When I no lift shift in my civic my engine revs really high. Is that because I'm not shifting fast enough or is it normal?

@xxnissansilviaxx It doesn't hurt the clutch but it does hurt the hell out of your syncros. The syncros aren't meant to ibe shifted that fast.
