i love that accent its so cool :-) bad ass family, i dont care what anyone says. Im learning mma for a bit of fun and exercise, but the gracies LIVE it. So impressive.
in the street all u need is what works not 300 plus moves just in the end to pull an armbar bjj is impractical in that sense in the street you pull what is available your not gona be doin rubber gaurd in the street and this is where judo is king straight to the point GRAB PULL TOSS SUBMIT THATS ALL YOU NEED your not gona do a one knee take down your not gona be doin rubber gaurd your not gona be doin transitions there is no time for that in the street when his friend can run up on you
again its JUDO they were taught they just repackaged it . judo not for the street hes crazy AAALLLLL fights start standing up and you will get slammed judo will take you down . folks remember he selling his art and they will never admit its judo even though their ranked in it . and its stradegy that wins fights dont belive that because your weak you can beat a stronger opponent THATS THE SALES PITCH SEEN ALOT OF BJJ GUYS GET BEAT UP IN THE STREET THE FLOOR IS THE LAST PLACE YOU WANNA BE
@ImIwilliamImI just because some dojos have diluted it doesnt means it impractical all fights start standing up you just need to find the right judo school remember all bjj is judo newaza and in the street all u need is what works not 300 plus moves just in the end to pull an armbar bjj is impractical in that sense in the street you pull what is available your not gona be doin rubber gaurd in the street and this is where judo is king straight to the point
LOL @ mcmaniac talking about how nobody would say shit to his face. what a joke. hes prolly 1 of those quiet kids that gets/got picked on in school so the only way to vent his frustrations is to get online & talk shit on mma videos. what a fake fuck.
And by the way, 600 pound Emanuel Yarbrough fought 169 pound Daiju Takase & Daiju knocked his ass out. Your ignorance on the art of MMA is astonishing. Size doesn't matter, the fighter with the best all-around skills will win. Congratulations, you've just proven you're not a true MMA fan, you're just a poser.
@RayKrunk ....hmmmmmmm so why do they have WEIGHT CLASSES?????..............yarborough ???......a 600 lbder cant move much less win an mma fight. James thompson is a CERTIFIED BUM and he beat a 385lb'er at Pride 30.....You guys can ref wikipedia all you want, bottom line you dont understand the intricacies of MMA, but I would be glad to school you on its history. Bobb Sapp is 400 lbs of muscle,..bum. If you have two GREAT fighters, with a size difference, the bigger wins(lyoto-penn) (Penn GSP)
@mcmaniac1000 No, Lyoto won because he has the better style. You obviously don't understand that styles make fights, & from the looks of it everybody agrees with me because they know you're just a poser. I guess you just see Mixed Martial Arts as two guys slugging it out & rolling around on the ground. You obviously have no idea about the technique or the art that these fighters are utilizing. Stop trying to argue, you know you're wrong.
@RayKrunk .....lol you talk like its 1999.....EVERYONE crosstrains now with few exceptions (sonnen, fitch), so its not about JUST style you idiot.People said Lyotos STYLE was tailor made to kill rampage, and he lost a shaky decision (he certainly didnt destroy). You talk like someone reciting talking points as opposed to someone relaying what they have seen! Hughes STYLE was wrestling and he dominated with it, its Brocks STYLE too and he is joke....Im done schooling on youtube i dont get $ 4this
@RayKrunk .....lol you talk like its 1999.....EVERYONE crosstrains now with few exceptions (sonnen, fitch), so its not about JUST style you idiot.People said Lyotos STYLE was tailor made to kill rampage, and he lost a shaky decision (he certainly didnt destroy). @RayKrunk size matters if the skill levels of the competitors are comparable, that´s why there are weight classes. If there is a huge gap in skill level however, like Royce vs Akebono or Yarbrough vs Takase, Yarbrough vs Hackney, Royce vs Kimo etc. - then the size difference won´t be enough to make up for the difference in skill.
@PhukThisShyt I recognize a troll when I see comments about somebody smelling and such. Go troll sombody like the user NormsBarStool or PhilElmoreDotCom, they´ll give you much better reactions than I will. Now off you go and happy trolling.
And by the way, the majority of "MMA fans" on youtube, such as yourself, don't know shit about MMA. You can run your mouth all you want & pretend to know what you're talking about. But it's obvious that you have no clue about the technique & art of Mixed Martial Arts. Now please, don't try to argue, because my comments are undebateable. I know more about MMA than you, it's not a big deal, if you watch MMA long enough, you'll catch up to my knowledge on the sport. Have a nice day.
@RayKrunk ...you didnt say anything worth debating!!!!!....it is obvious by ur comments that ur UNDER 18....and you say u have been watching MMA for 18 year.....rotflmmfao.....people dont hesitate to show how dumb they are on youtube, like people who think a 185 lb Saku is weak for losing to a 230 lb Crocop.....what a joke
@mcmaniac1000 You did strike a nerve because I can't stand it when a so-called MMA fan tries to call ME out on MMA knowledge. You must be talking about yourself because it's obvious from your comments that your just a kid. I'm a grown ass man, and I know more about Mixed Martial Arts than every single one of you so called MMA fans. I'm a grown ass Man, I've been watching Boxing since 88 & MMA since 94, so it's a simple fact that I have more knowledge on combat sports than you. Get over it.
@RayKrunk Agreed. mcmaniac obviously doesn't know jack shit about MMA. He's trying to prove his "knowledge" about the sport by references legends like Bas & Frank Shamrock. What about guys like Don Frye, Dan Severn, Ken Shamrock? That idiot probably doesn't even realize that B-level fighters like Tank Abbott are legends in the sport. He's obviously just a casual MMA watcher, & probably only gets his "knowledge" about MMA on YouTube. What a complete jackass. Like you said: he's obviously a poser!
@BudlightBuzzin .....Frye severn and shamrock.....good, so because I named a few legends, and not these guys (by the way noob, tank is the only b level in there, severn and shamrock are not b level...you knowledgeable idiot), I am a poser? First of, no one wants noob like you guys diluting their sport. Guys like you are the reason Brock got a title shot before he was even ready to fight top 5 guys. This is pointless, im arguing with idiots who are unarmed for debate on a topic they know little of
@mcmaniac1000 I know Severn & Shamrock aren't B-level fighters. Which is why I put Tank in a different sentence. You're an idiot, talking about Brock Lesnar. The only people he brought to the sport is abunch gay ass wrestling fans like you. Faggot.
@BudlightBuzzin lmao at how if we were face to face you wouldnt be talking like that..lmao...buncha tuff SOB on the web I forget sometimes. Tank brought NOTHING...you hit ppl in the face (duh) and thats all he tried to do, he was crazy so he was popular, but he is no pioneer/legend, stop listening to ur drunk older white trash brother. I hate Brock lesnar...he gave us fans like you who fell in love with the appeal of REAL tough guys as opposed to wrestlers, and came over to mma, diluting it...
@mcmaniac1000 When you talk about Brock bringing fake fans to MMA, you're talking about yourself. And yes, Tank Abbott is a legend in the MMA community, & any real fan would know that. You obviously haven't been watching MMA for too long, but like you said: Wikipedia is great, aint it!? Faker. You've just proved you're one of those Johnny-Come-Lately fans.
@RayKrunk i'm with you-i've been watching ufc since the 1 and off and on and even trained with a guy that trained with Jackson in Abq! I was more of a throwing dummy/technique dummy for him-but he taught me some defense and technique!
@RayKrunk lol I don't think "i'm a grown ass man" is a legitimate argument. it was funny tho. i'm a grown ass man, i'm a grown ass man. I'm not calling you out, on mma, this is more logic the system devised by aristole. I'm not speaking against you, I like that i'm a grown ass man. xD
@mcmaniac1000 You're certainly right about people not hesitating to show how dumb they are on the internet... the only thing is you were talking about yourself. Dumbass. Saku didn't lose to Mirko because he was 45 pounds lighter, he lost because Mirko is a better fighter. You've proven your ignorance online, I just hope you don't say such idiotic things in person...
@PhukThisShyt ....yeah ....another "ultimate fighter season 3 tyope....so in then case then I guess Mark Hunt (12-7) was better than Wanderlei (33-10).......the other guy said "its a fact I have more knowledge about mma".....yeah wikipedia is wonderful aint it. I bet you think if Big Nog fought Bj Penn he would win because he is a better fighter....lmao.....You people talk knowledge but you just talk about knowledge instead of showing it.....what a joke
is it just me or he contradicting with himself? he said gracie jujutsu was made for self defence, yet he is taking pride in UFC which blatently has nothing to do with self defence or what martial arts were made for.
Brazilian Ju Jitsu was developed from Judo, by Helio gracie. Mitsuyo Maeda, who brought Judo to Brazil was a Judo practitioner and originally a Sumo wrestler. The Japanese still referred to Judo as Jiu Jitsu however it was in fact Judo that was being taught. You can see the Judo influence quite clearly in Gracie Ju Jitsu, which is quite different from other stand-up styles or Trad styles of Japanese Ju Jitsu. Look up traditional Japanese Ju Jitsu to see the clear difference.
I've just recently started training at the Roger Gracie academy in London. On the very first day I threw up! But that's because I hadn't excercised in the past 3 years. I got dehydrated in the first 30 mins. I love it!!
@logicCplusplus Sakuraba got his ass handed to him in their rematch. 'Gracie Hunter' my ass, ask him if he knows my friend Ralek Gracie? He was DOMINATED by Gracie. And why don't you ask Sakuraba if he knows my other friend Jason Miller? Miller made that Japanese bitch tap in the first round. He tapped like a big old pussy, whereas Royce NEVER taps. Sakuraba is a joke, he's been beat to hell by guys like Silva, Nogueira, CroCop, & even Kimo made that bitch tap. What an overrated Japanese JOKE.
@RayKrunk welcome to mma noob......saku is like 43 and by his own admission, washed up he just likes to fight. Royce took roids in the rematch so do ur homework. and look up yoshida vs royce and you will see royce sleep...silva nog and cro cop are LEGENDS and nog and Cro COP are HEAVYWEIGHTS.....lmao get it???....you have just embarrassed urself on youtube in front of a bunch of savvy mma fans....poor bastard, I bet you are a Brock fans arent ya???
@mcmaniac1000 Actually I'm been a fan of MMA since 1994, so don't try to debate me over MMA knowledge. You've just proven your ignorance on MMA. Now shut the fuck up & don't try to argue with me. I've been watching MMA for 18 years now, I know a hell of alot more about it than you. And no, I'm not a fan of Brock's. I'm a fan of technical, smart, tactical fighters like St. Pierre, Silva, & Machida. You don't have even half the knowledge of MMA that I have. That's a fact.
@RayKrunk ...and based on the anger in ur response Id say I STRUCK A NERVE....lmmfao....here google Igor Vovchanchyn, Marco Ruas, Bas Rutten, Oleg Taktarov, and Masakatsu Funaki, and Frank Shamrock...ur welcome....U just talked trash about ur MMA knowledge, you didnt show very much (and Mayhem is a BUM) except that you like the fighters most CASUAL fans know about (like how ppl who dont watch NFL love the Pats cuz they won 3 Super bowls...lol)....not you got homework to do....go catch up lil boy
funny how he says 'you dont have to be big or strong, etc' but int eh black and white fight of kimura and helio, helio gave the excuse of 'had he been the same size as kimura (or vice versa) he would have won
Royce is too full of it. The person is what makes the discipline good regardless of discipline type. Not the other way around you dumb ass. If the person is master of his discipline he can wreck anyone in another discipline. Thing I hate aobut the Gracies is thta they make it sound like BJJ is the #1 when the fact is most people win by Boxing, knockouts, & subs not even belonging to the BJJ discipline. Seen Karate wreck BJJ, seen Kick Boxing wreck BJJ, seen wrestling ground & pound wreck BJJ!
@cyberhmoob I agree, but it's also important to note that it also works the other way around. I've seen BJJ dominate a lot of other disciplines. It's primarily the practitioner- and a good fighter never adheres to purist ideological bullshit.
@cyberhmoob I see your point, but I slightly disagree. I've never seen anybody dominate the octagon with tae bo. It has to be a combination. Lol that's not a really valid example, but you get my point.
@cyberhmoob You're an idiot. If it weren't for BJJ there would be no Pride, ISKA, UFC, K1 - any of it. BJJ pioneered MMA as you know it. The only reason anyone that knows BJJ gets tapped out these days is because they're getting flogged by people with strong multiple dimensions that _have_ a BJJ game, it just doesn't necessarily go there so they pound for pound instead.
Dude, you seriously don't know fucking shit. Have some respect for the man and art (and lifestyle) that created MMA.
@cyberhmoob the gracies are marketing there product, just like when guys advertise karate or tae kwon do they make it seem as if its the best, the gracies just came out and said it. in reality about 60% of fights go to ground. not 90%. there marketing there system to get money. gracies gotta eat too,
@pedro90 Gracies made claims so untrue. All their SUB's were already studied and mastered hundreds of years ago before they even existed. They merely STOLE the moves and called it "BRAZILIAN". Imagine someone taking kicking boxing and calling it AMERICAN KICKBOXING. My point is to STEAL is GRACIE FAMILY are thieves. Their claims are seriously lame.
I love training in MMA I do Kickboxing and Wrestling but Training in Gracie Jiu Jitsu is my favorite do to the fact that it is such a dominate martial Art and Of Course Guys Like Royce I am a proud member of the Pedro sauer Association
@neomysterio since boxer bernard hopkins was a dumbass enough to call mma a faggot sport, how quickly would royce destroy bernard in royce's world?! haha
@MrAgmar2000 Yeah, he fathered Royce, Rickson, Royler, Rorion and Relson. He was the uncle of Renzo, Ryan and Ralph. What is it with that family and names beginning with R?
i really don't understand how Matt hughes could have beaten royce on the ground the way he did....royce is 100/100 on the ground, how could that have happened? matt handled him like he was a beginner...plz explain
a little news flash Mitsuyo Maeda taught the gracies but he didnt teach them jui jitsu he taught them kodakan judo which in brazile they called jui jitsu. when really it was judo
@actionmanrandell All MA are missing atleast one ingredient, maybe it isnt for you because you learned how to modify your Judo to make it custom to yourself...
@RadOne83 that is not true statistics do not prov that bjj is the most effective martial arts maybey most effecitve for ring fighting but for real world fights its not as effective you can not grapple against multiple opponents in the street if you tried to grappler you would get yourself killed
@actionmanrandell If you get jumped by multiple attackers then they are pussies, and please dont tell me that you recommend kung fu...lol and no Martial Art is good for street fights
@RadOne83 well there is no actual martial arts named kung fu thats what america calls chinese martial arts there are thousands of chinese martial arts some of which are very effective and yes there are martial arts that are good for street fights ie krav maga systema muay thai is very effective against multiple enemies there are many systems of martial arts that teach you to be effective against multiple attackers where in bjj will never be effective against multiple fighters
@RadOne83 well for one uechi ryu is great against multiple attackers. so is krav maga.. jeet kune do.. hwa rang do.judo . is pretty good for multiple opponents. filipino kali..escrima. and many more.. most systems of martial arts can be developed to be effective against multiple attackers its all up to the individual not the style.. but some styles like bjj are ring designed and are not effective against multiple attackers cont
@RadOne83 cont and i know judo is a sport but there is a difference between judo and brazilian jui jitsu. ie bjj goal is to take someone to the ground and grapple with them but in judo you win by doing throws and takedowns over going to the grand and submiting ie judoka use powerful takedowns and throws to defeat there opponents
@actionmanrandell ok but which ones of those MA teaches you how to catch bullets? my point is, if people fight like pussies, change the game to one on one. Sure Judo is cool....but Muay Thai and BJJ are just totally beast.
@RadOne83 no muay thai and bjj are not best your assumptions are inccorect sure muay thai is cool but in no way is the most powerful striking art many people assume that when in reality there are many systems of combat which have tremendous force and judoka fighters are supperior in there takedowns then bjj fighters the main strength of a bjj fighter is there ability on the ground where in judoka tend to stand there grand when taking someone down they main tain the highground
@actionmanrandell Im not saying they are the best, im saying tho the old Muay Thai, or Muay Boran, they train by kicking tree's to build calcium up in their bones, to make them more dense and strong, so they dont break bones as easy and they could kick you in the chest and kill you, that is real Muay, not like new age, few people train like that in USA, only maybe in Thailand they still do. Look at Jose Aldo....best new style MMA fighter hands down MuayThai/BJJ fighter
@RadOne83 judo is much more advanced then bjj bjj is just a ground fighting art judo is what originated bjj mitsuyo maeda taught the gracies judo not jui jitsu they created bjj from that.. judo focuses on take downs and throws over ground fighting so it is alot more suited for street fighting because in the street you might have to fight 4 or 5 guys with bjj you CAN NOT fight 4 to 5 guys safely but with judo you can do dammage
@actionmanrandell dude get outta here... Judo is not going to defend you from multiple attackers... no M.A. will... trust me, if everybody rushes you at once you cant do shit, except throw haymakers and kicks... and lemme guess Judo teaches you how to deflect bullets too!!! and dude you dont have to tell me about the history of BJJ, BJJ is so much more advanced because EVERY MMA fighter adds it to his teachings... thats what they teach you for ground game... Judo was like good in 1950's
@RadOne83 bullshit.. judo is very effective against multiple attackers and there are many striking arts out there that are great for multiple attackers aikido is great for multiple attackers...bjj is only effective in the ring.. i do not care what you thank i have seen many fighters attemt to use bjj in a street fight and they failed horribly and i have seen many judoka use it effectivly in a street fight..
@actionmanrandell It very well could be effective but not against multiple attackers... no M.A. is actually.. its the fighter, the only thing Judo would be good for is tossing people then you would need something like boxing or muay thai to defend the ones still standing, BJJ wasnt created to defend against 9 guys, no martial art was really, it is virtually impossible to do that, so stop believing Jackie Chan movies and Jet Li movies.. if 5 guys rush you at once your getting your ass beat
@RadOne83 bullshit i have personally seen people get in fights where they had 7 or 8 men surround them and they were the victors. most martial arts systems were developed for war.. and in a war back then you were often outnumbered 20 to 1. on top of that true aikido is very effective against multiple attackers i saw one aikdio master when went to japan.. get attacked by 8 guys and he completly destroyed his attackers cont
@RadOne83 cont and another thing there are many people.. who can do 7 and 8 hit combos in under a second.. but the world record is around 12 hits under a second.. so your saying that someone who can hit you 12 times in a blink of an eye couldnt take on 5 guys and win.. if you think that your delusional
@RadOne83 i have personally seen people get attacked by 5 or more people and win that fight..you obviously never met an expert in aikido. infact when 5 people are all running at the same person that 1 person can use that to there advantage and use each individual as a shield.. one of those attackers is bound to get to you first.. alowing you to use him in many ways ie grab him and throw him into the other 4 or use him to trip the others.. iv seen skilled wrestlers out wrestle 5 men before..cont
@RadOne83 cont..an intelligent fighter would know how to systematically take control of the situation through various techniques. only a moron would thank that because 5 guys are rushing you that means your fucked. because it doesnt 5 guys are most likely going to get in eachothers ways.. that alows that 1 individual to use that to his advantage..
@actionmanrandell Dude this isnt Hollywood go away, Ive seen an ex Marine that is like a fucking legend around my area for beating kids faces in and sending them to the hospital get his ass beat....this isnt the movies, 1 hit doesnt beat someones sense out of them, he got rushed by like 6 guys, he held his own for about 30 seconds and then got rushed, rushed means they hop on your ass all at once.... you cant defend it.
@RadOne83 i dont care what some marine couldnt do.. i have seen expert martial artists fight multiple opponents and come out on top with no body injuries. and im sorry but there is no marine on earth unless he is an expert in martial arts that can do a 12 hit combo in under a second.... i personally dont give a shit what you think because i have personally witnessed people beat the shit out of 5 and 6 attackers on multiple ocastions
@RadOne83 why dont you go to japan and go to an aikido school where they do randori in order to get your black belt in aikidio you must be able to defeat multiple people rushing at you and until you do you dont get your belt..
@actionmanrandell oh and another thing look at history some of the greatist battles in history show that. the majority of those battles had one group fight someone who outnumbered them often over 10 to 1..
@actionmanrandell Dude stop with your nonsense... you believe stupid things, like spaceshhips are real i bet... Dude 5 guys rush you at once all at one time... your done... maybe if it was one on one... but all at once, anybody gets their ass beat.
@RadOne83 bullshit i have personally seen people come out on top victoriously after beeing rushed by 4 and 5 guys you obviousily dont realize that 5 people will almost always get in eachothers ways. and any individual who realizes that can use that to there advantage if you and 4 other people run at me and you get to me first i am going to use you as a shield for the other 4 people.. i can do many things i can throw you into the other 4 and then begin to attack them cont
@actionmanrandell you watch too many steven seagal movies. If that guy you used as a shield wasn't a manikin, you think he'd allow you to throw him all around as you please? Think dude. Just by brushing away one of your arm you're as good as a punching bag that blocks 1/10 arm attacks. Not including the kicks and grabs. You awake yet?
@einadroj01 no i do not watch too many steven seagal movies. i havnt watched a steven seagal movie since half past dead. and if you use proper leverage you can control someone reletively easy. if someone does a right cross to my face and i move to the side and manuever him or her into a rear naked choke i can control him or her very easily then use him/her as a sheild it dont matter if they dont want me to control them if i get a good hold on them there i would be in control cont
@einadroj01 cont. and logically i would want the altercation over as fast as possible once i got control of one attacker i would use him as a weapon ie throw him into any attacking opponent. i would then rush that individual and take control of him its not that hard to maintain control of one person and as long as you can keep distance between you and your opponents you can maintain control of the situation
@actionmanrandell I'm sorry but over underestimating your opponents is not in any fighters dictionary. But oh well wit all your theories, we are in youtube fortunately, pls link us to a vid of any professionl handicap-bout or rather your own personal experience. Coz if rather you advisd to "Run the hell outta there", would make so much more sense. Even a 1 vs 1, there's no guarantee not unless you're a pro and they are malnourished beings or little kids. That said, reality isn't a story book.
@actionmanrandell and oh, you're not the only one with the brains, skills and instincts. Broaden up your perspective. Like they would allow you to manipulate their own body? Grab me like that, i'd kick your leg right to the bone. Grab hold of your thumb and run it the off your hand. But seriously, I'm not saying you're totally wrong but your theory is as good as .1%, all the time. Experience it first before you share such theory sir.
@einadroj01 its not a theory. a theory is an unproven idea. which what i am saying has been proven on countless time by countless people who have got into fights with multiple people and won. i have personally seen people fight 4 and 5 people before and do exactly what i said
@RadOne83 cont.. i can simply let them try to attack me but every time they do i would be moving you into there attacks if they attempted to rush me more i would use you as a weapon.. once they were off guard i would move in and begin to systematically destroy them ie crush the windpipe.. and so on.. you obviousily delusional if you think that a fast strike gives you the advantage cont
@RadOne83 cont take alook at bren foster.. his kick was clocked at being 138 miles per hour and having well over 2000lbs of force.. so your saying if you rushed and 4 men rushed bren foster he wouldnt stand a chance.. if you think that your mentally ill what about mike tyson or brock lesner you dont think brock could grab 4 guys and toss them aside like tissue paper..
@RadOne83 BJJ isnt better than judo or traditional jujitsu and vice versa. BJJ is just a brand like nike, or coke. Theres not one move i've seen in BJJ that I haven't seen done in Judo or Jujitsu. The chokes, passing the guartd, arm bars, gi chokes its all the same taught by different teachers.
@munkymaskproductions no kung fu is not a specific martial arts thats just the world calls what china calls wushu.. kung fu means skill from effort and can mean anything that requires skill or effort ie wood carving or cooking.. but in all actuality there is no system of martial arts called kung fu there are thousands of chinese martial arts and they call them wushu.. as a whole.. and each individual style has its own name such as tai chi chuan or hung gar
@actionmanrandell Self defense BJJ is good for street fights one on one, but the best would be to cross train between krav maga and BJJ. Both arts cover key aspects of fighting, Krav Maga covers weapon defense and stand up fighting, and Gracie jiu jitsu (or kioto BJJ) covers ground fighting.
@munkymaskproductions there are many arts that are good for covering both ground fighting and stand up.. people fail to realize that many arts from the east teach you both ground and stand up fighting.. its just in america that they usually teach only one aspect of fighting. and the filipeno fighting arts are the best weappns forms in the world ie filipeno kali.. and escrima. and all other filipeno martial arts
Royce and Renzo are inhuman bastards and a disgrace to the martial arts community. Anyone who thinks differently needs to watch the tapes AGAIN and open your eyes. Spitting on opponents? Not releasing holds? Refusing to accept a defeat even after a choke out? Deplorable and disgraceful.
Royce and Renzo need to step from the world, find a cave and disappear.
I also find it very curious that the beat down of Royce isnt on You Tube..but the other fights where Royce is degraging himself and the arts is...funny how that works.
@Droolbaby I THINK YOU NEED TO STEP FROM THE WORLD FIND A CAVE AND DISSAPPEAR.. stupid idiot talk tough behind the computer... if you want royce and renzo to dissapear... go and fight them tough guy... because of the Gracie family we have mma today... you disrespectful idiot...
@vietboyz08 Whatever you say...you obviously don't know anything about the Martial Arts Community and you obviously didn't read my full post...oh well...guess I can't have an intelligent conversation with everyone...thank you though...
@Droolbaby what martial arts community the one where you sit behind your computer and act tough? lol in order to have an inteligent conversation you have to be intelligent first you idiot.. and you're welcome for pointing out that you are an idiot.
@Droolbaby How dare you consider these people warriors. They use steroids to maintain an edge. They have no respect for anyone outside of themselves and have shown it time and again.
I have to disagree on Royce's comment on Judo not being effective in the street. I started training in judo 3 months ago and I can say without a doubt that if I would get into a fight with myself, with the things I know now, against myself without the judo training, an untrained me wouldn't stand a chance.
I agree; Judo is a very effective method. Also, I think a lot of the emphasis in sport BJJ/grapplling would be very dangerous to do on the street in a real fight.
The other flawed logic is thinking BJJ doesn't require strength. Yea it doesn't require strength if your opponent isn't strong. However, unless you are an exquisite, mastered practitioner, many stronger opponents will be able to power out of many techniques; strength is one of the greatest advantages in any fight.
@WhiteShark125 Helio made that statement you just said fraud so many years ago, the only way someone couldwin with strength against someone well trained in BJJ or Gracie style is steroids, Sports work around steroids now the UFC champion is on steroids, 9/10 *athlets* now a days are on steroids, if your logic was true i'm sure you would be much more famous then you are now.
@TheTaeKwonDoTube Helio is one man, who fought a bigger guy and won, "...so many years ago..." Military personnel, MMA practitioners, security personnel have those stories for a dime a dozen.
I said strength is an advantage. You cited the popularity of steroids; thank you for supporting my position. I don't know, though, how thinking strength is an advantage (or not) should lead me to be "...much more famous..." ??
@WhiteShark125 all in all skill and leverage is an advantage a very skilled fighter can overcome a stronger bigger opponent more often then a stronger opponent can overcome a more skilled opponent
My 130lb girlfriend does Japanese Ju Jitsu with me? It's not really about strength :S
(I do both JJJ and BJJ btw, and feel that the grappling is more strength orientated for the first couple of years at least)

RayKrunk 1 year ago 14
@RayKrunk ....hmmmmmmm so why do they have WEIGHT CLASSES?????..............yarborough ???......a 600 lbder cant move much less win an mma fight. James thompson is a CERTIFIED BUM and he beat a 385lb'er at Pride 30.....You guys can ref wikipedia all you want, bottom line you dont understand the intricacies of MMA, but I would be glad to school you on its history. Bobb Sapp is 400 lbs of muscle,..bum. If you have two GREAT fighters, with a size difference, the bigger wins(lyoto-penn) (Penn GSP)
mcmaniac1000 1 year ago
@mcmaniac1000 No, Lyoto won because he has the better style. You obviously don't understand that styles make fights, & from the looks of it everybody agrees with me because they know you're just a poser. I guess you just see Mixed Martial Arts as two guys slugging it out & rolling around on the ground. You obviously have no idea about the technique or the art that these fighters are utilizing. Stop trying to argue, you know you're wrong.

Hughes STYLE was wrestling and he dominated with it, its Brocks STYLE too and he is joke....Im done schooling on youtube i dont get $ 4this

RayKrunk 1 year ago 3
@RayKrunk Agreed. mcmaniac obviously doesn't know jack shit about MMA. He's trying to prove his "knowledge" about the sport by references legends like Bas & Frank Shamrock. What about guys like Don Frye, Dan Severn, Ken Shamrock? That idiot probably doesn't even realize that B-level fighters like Tank Abbott are legends in the sport. He's obviously just a casual MMA watcher, & probably only gets his "knowledge" about MMA on YouTube. What a complete jackass. Like you said: he's obviously a poser!
BudlightBuzzin 1 year ago
@BudlightBuzzin .....Frye severn and shamrock.....good, so because I named a few legends, and not these guys (by the way noob, tank is the only b level in there, severn and shamrock are not b level...you knowledgeable idiot), I am a poser? First of, no one wants noob like you guys diluting their sport. Guys like you are the reason Brock got a title shot before he was even ready to fight top 5 guys. This is pointless, im arguing with idiots who are unarmed for debate on a topic they know little of
mcmaniac1000 1 year ago
@mcmaniac1000 I know Severn & Shamrock aren't B-level fighters. Which is why I put Tank in a different sentence. You're an idiot, talking about Brock Lesnar. The only people he brought to the sport is abunch gay ass wrestling fans like you. Faggot.
BudlightBuzzin 1 year ago
@BudlightBuzzin lmao at how if we were face to face you wouldnt be talking like that..lmao...buncha tuff SOB on the web I forget sometimes. I hate Brock lesnar...he gave us fans like you who fell in love with the appeal of REAL tough guys as opposed to wrestlers, and came over to mma, diluting it...
mcmaniac1000 1 year ago
@mcmaniac1000 When you talk about Brock bringing fake fans to MMA, you're talking about yourself. And yes, Tank Abbott is a legend in the MMA community, & any real fan would know that.

Seen Karate wreck BJJ, seen Kick Boxing wreck BJJ, seen wrestling ground & pound wreck BJJ!
cyberhmoob 1 year ago
@cyberhmoob I agree, but it's also important to note that it also works the other way around. I've seen BJJ dominate a lot of other disciplines. It's primarily the practitioner- and a good fighter never adheres to purist ideological bullshit.
BaileyLush 1 year ago
@BaileyLush My bottomline is that the FIGHTER makes the discipline work. Not the discipline.
cyberhmoob 1 year ago
@cyberhmoob I see your point, but I slightly disagree. I've never seen anybody dominate the octagon with tae bo. It has to be a combination. Lol that's not a really valid example, but you get my point.
BaileyLush 1 year ago
@cyberhmoob You're an idiot. If it weren't for BJJ there would be no Pride, ISKA, UFC, K1 - any of it. BJJ pioneered MMA as you know it. The only reason anyone that knows BJJ gets tapped out these days is because they're getting flogged by people with strong multiple dimensions that _have_ a BJJ game, it just doesn't necessarily go there so they pound for pound instead.
Dude, you seriously don't know fucking shit. Have some respect for the man and art (and lifestyle) that created MMA.
Blindingraven 1 year ago
@cyberhmoob the gracies are marketing there product, just like when guys advertise karate or tae kwon do they make it seem as if its the best, the gracies just came out and said it. in reality about 60% of fights go to ground. not 90%. there marketing there system to get money. gracies gotta eat too,
pedro90 1 year ago
@pedro90 Gracies made claims so untrue. All their SUB's were already studied and mastered hundreds of years ago before they even existed. They merely STOLE the moves and called it "BRAZILIAN". a little news flash Mitsuyo Maeda taught the gracies but he didnt teach them jui jitsu he taught them kodakan judo which in brazile they called jui jitsu. when really it was judo
actionmanrandell 1 year ago
@actionmanrandell yes your right but it was missing that special piece...
RadOne83 1 year ago
@RadOne83 actually with my experience kodakan judo isnt missing anything
actionmanrandell 1 year ago
@actionmanrandell All MA are missing atleast one ingredient, maybe it isnt for you because you learned how to modify your Judo to make it custom to yourself...
RadOne83 1 year ago
@RadOne83 no actually no martial arts is missing anything its the student who is missing something with proper training any style will be effective
actionmanrandell 1 year ago
@actionmanrandell My point being is Helio Gracie, has created the MOST effective martial art, and statistics prove it.
RadOne83 1 year ago
@RadOne83 that is not true statistics do not prov that bjj is the most effective martial arts maybey most effecitve for ring fighting but for real world fights its not as effective you can not grapple against multiple opponents in the street if you tried to grappler you would get yourself killed
actionmanrandell 1 year ago
@actionmanrandell If you get jumped by multiple attackers then they are pussies, and please dont tell me that you recommend kung fu...lol and no Martial Art is good for street fights
RadOne83 1 year ago
@RadOne83 well there is no actual martial arts named kung fu thats what america calls chinese martial arts there are thousands of chinese martial arts some of which are very effective and yes there are martial arts that are good for street fights ie krav maga systema muay thai is very effective against multiple enemies there are many systems of martial arts that teach you to be effective against multiple attackers where in bjj will never be effective against multiple fighters
actionmanrandell 1 year ago
@actionmanrandell name one of your Martial Arts that can stop a gang from jumping your ass with weapons
RadOne83 1 year ago
@RadOne83 well for one uechi ryu is great against multiple attackers. so is krav maga.. jeet kune do.. hwa rang do.judo . is pretty good for multiple opponents. filipino kali..escrima. and many more.. most systems of martial arts can be developed to be effective against multiple attackers its all up to the individual not the style.. but some styles like bjj are ring designed and are not effective against multiple attackers cont
actionmanrandell 1 year ago
@RadOne83 cont and i know judo is a sport but there is a difference between judo and brazilian jui jitsu. ie bjj goal is to take someone to the ground and grapple with them but in judo you win by doing throws and takedowns over going to the grand and submiting ie judoka use powerful takedowns and throws to defeat there opponents
actionmanrandell 1 year ago
@actionmanrandell ok but which ones of those MA teaches you how to catch bullets? my point is, if people fight like pussies, change the game to one on one. Sure Judo is cool....but Muay Thai and BJJ are just totally beast.
RadOne83 1 year ago
@RadOne83 no muay thai and bjj are not best your assumptions are inccorect sure muay thai is cool but in no way is the most powerful striking art many people assume that when in reality there are many systems of combat which have tremendous force and judoka fighters are supperior in there takedowns then bjj fighters the main strength of a bjj fighter is there ability on the ground where in judoka tend to stand there grand when taking someone down they main tain the highground
actionmanrandell 1 year ago
@actionmanrandell Im not saying they are the best, im saying tho the old Muay Thai, or Muay Boran, they train by kicking tree's to build calcium up in their bones, to make them more dense and strong, so they dont break bones as easy and they could kick you in the chest and kill you, that is real Muay, not like new age, few people train like that in USA, only maybe in Thailand they still do. Look at Jose Aldo....best new style MMA fighter hands down MuayThai/BJJ fighter
RadOne83 1 year ago
@RadOne83 judo is much more advanced then bjj bjj is just a ground fighting art judo is what originated bjj mitsuyo maeda taught the gracies judo not jui jitsu they created bjj from that.. judo focuses on take downs and throws over ground fighting so it is alot more suited for street fighting because in the street you might have to fight 4 or 5 guys with bjj you CAN NOT fight 4 to 5 guys safely but with judo you can do dammage
actionmanrandell 1 year ago
@actionmanrandell dude get outta here... Judo is not going to defend you from multiple attackers... no M.A. will... trust me, if everybody rushes you at once you cant do shit, except throw haymakers and kicks... and lemme guess Judo teaches you how to deflect bullets too!!! and dude you dont have to tell me about the history of BJJ, BJJ is so much more advanced because EVERY MMA fighter adds it to his teachings... thats what they teach you for ground game... Judo was like good in 1950's
RadOne83 1 year ago
@RadOne83 bullshit.. judo is very effective against multiple attackers and there are many striking arts out there that are great for multiple attackers aikido is great for multiple attackers...bjj is only effective in the ring.. i do not care what you thank i have seen many fighters attemt to use bjj in a street fight and they failed horribly and i have seen many judoka use it effectivly in a street fight..
actionmanrandell 1 year ago
@actionmanrandell It very well could be effective but not against multiple attackers... no M.A. is actually.. its the fighter, the only thing Judo would be good for is tossing people then you would need something like boxing or muay thai to defend the ones still standing, BJJ wasnt created to defend against 9 guys, no martial art was really, it is virtually impossible to do that, so stop believing Jackie Chan movies and Jet Li movies.. if 5 guys rush you at once your getting your ass beat
RadOne83 1 year ago
@RadOne83 bullshit i have personally seen people get in fights where they had 7 or 8 men surround them and they were the victors. most martial arts systems were developed for war.. and in a war back then you were often outnumbered 20 to 1. on top of that true aikido is very effective against multiple attackers i saw one aikdio master when went to japan.. get attacked by 8 guys and he completly destroyed his attackers cont
actionmanrandell 1 year ago
@RadOne83 cont and another thing there are many people.. who can do 7 and 8 hit combos in under a second.. but the world record is around 12 hits under a second.. so your saying that someone who can hit you 12 times in a blink of an eye couldnt take on 5 guys and win.. if you think that your delusional
actionmanrandell 1 year ago
@actionmanrandell If 5 guys rush you i dont care who you are....your fucked
RadOne83 1 year ago
@RadOne83 i have personally seen people get attacked by 5 or more people and win that fight..you obviously never met an expert in aikido. infact when 5 people are all running at the same person that 1 person can use that to there advantage and use each individual as a shield.. one of those attackers is bound to get to you first.. alowing you to use him in many ways ie grab him and throw him into the other 4 or use him to trip the others.. iv seen skilled wrestlers out wrestle 5 men before..cont
actionmanrandell 1 year ago
@RadOne83 cont..an intelligent fighter would know how to systematically take control of the situation through various techniques. only a moron would thank that because 5 guys are rushing you that means your fucked. because it doesnt 5 guys are most likely going to get in eachothers ways.. that alows that 1 individual to use that to his advantage..
actionmanrandell 1 year ago
@actionmanrandell Dude this isnt Hollywood go away, Ive seen an ex Marine that is like a fucking legend around my area for beating kids faces in and sending them to the hospital get his ass beat....this isnt the movies, 1 hit doesnt beat someones sense out of them, he got rushed by like 6 guys, he held his own for about 30 seconds and then got rushed, rushed means they hop on your ass all at once.... you cant defend it.
RadOne83 1 year ago
@RadOne83 i dont care what some marine couldnt do.. i have seen expert martial artists fight multiple opponents and come out on top with no body injuries. and im sorry but there is no marine on earth unless he is an expert in martial arts that can do a 12 hit combo in under a second.... i personally dont give a shit what you think because i have personally witnessed people beat the shit out of 5 and 6 attackers on multiple ocastions
actionmanrandell 1 year ago
@RadOne83 why dont you go to japan and go to an aikido school where they do randori in order to get your black belt in aikidio you must be able to defeat multiple people rushing at you and until you do you dont get your belt..

@actionmanrandell oh and another thing look at history some of the greatist battles in history show that. the majority of those battles had one group fight someone who outnumbered them often over 10 to 1..
actionmanrandell 1 year ago
@actionmanrandell and many of those battles showed that the underdog won

@actionmanrandell Dude stop with your nonsense... you believe stupid things, like spaceshhips are real i bet... Dude 5 guys rush you at once all at one time... your done... maybe if it was one on one... but all at once, anybody gets their ass beat.
RadOne83 1 year ago
@RadOne83 bullshit i have personally seen people come out on top victoriously after beeing rushed by 4 and 5 guys you obviousily dont realize that 5 people will almost always get in eachothers ways. and any individual who realizes that can use that to there advantage if you and 4 other people run at me and you get to me first i am going to use you as a shield for the other 4 people.. i can do many things i can throw you into the other 4 and then begin to attack them cont
actionmanrandell 1 year ago
@actionmanrandell you watch too many steven seagal movies. If that guy you used as a shield wasn't a manikin, you think he'd allow you to throw him all around as you please? Think dude. Just by brushing away one of your arm you're as good as a punching bag that blocks 1/10 arm attacks. Not including the kicks and grabs. You awake yet?
einadroj01 1 year ago
@einadroj01 no i do not watch too many steven seagal movies. i havnt watched a steven seagal movie since half past dead. and if you use proper leverage you can control someone reletively easy. if someone does a right cross to my face and i move to the side and manuever him or her into a rear naked choke i can control him or her very easily then use him/her as a sheild it dont matter if they dont want me to control them if i get a good hold on them there i would be in control cont
actionmanrandell 1 year ago
@einadroj01 cont. and logically i would want the altercation over as fast as possible once i got control of one attacker i would use him as a weapon ie throw him into any attacking opponent. i would then rush that individual and take control of him its not that hard to maintain control of one person and as long as you can keep distance between you and your opponents you can maintain control of the situation
actionmanrandell 1 year ago
@actionmanrandell I'm sorry but over underestimating your opponents is not in any fighters dictionary. But oh well wit all your theories, we are in youtube fortunately, pls link us to a vid of any professionl handicap-bout or rather your own personal experience. Coz if rather you advisd to "Run the hell outta there", would make so much more sense. Even a 1 vs 1, there's no guarantee not unless you're a pro and they are malnourished beings or little kids. That said, reality isn't a story book.
einadroj01 1 year ago
@actionmanrandell and oh, you're not the only one with the brains, skills and instincts. Broaden up your perspective. Like they would allow you to manipulate their own body? Grab me like that, i'd kick your leg right to the bone. Grab hold of your thumb and run it the off your hand. But seriously, I'm not saying you're totally wrong but your theory is as good as .1%, all the time. Experience it first before you share such theory sir.
einadroj01 1 year ago
@einadroj01 its not a theory. a theory is an unproven idea. which what i am saying has been proven on countless time by countless people who have got into fights with multiple people and won. i have personally seen people fight 4 and 5 people before and do exactly what i said
actionmanrandell 1 year ago
@RadOne83 cont.. i can simply let them try to attack me but every time they do i would be moving you into there attacks if they attempted to rush me more i would use you as a weapon.. once they were off guard i would move in and begin to systematically destroy them ie crush the windpipe.. and so on.. you obviousily delusional if you think that a fast strike gives you the advantage cont
actionmanrandell 1 year ago

@actionmanrandell Kung fu is a specific martial art.
munkymaskproductions 1 year ago
@munkymaskproductions no kung fu is not a specific martial arts thats just the world calls what china calls wushu.. kung fu means skill from effort and can mean anything that requires skill or effort ie wood carving or cooking.. but in all actuality there is no system of martial arts called kung fu there are thousands of chinese martial arts and they call them wushu.. as a whole.. and each individual style has its own name such as tai chi chuan or hung gar

@RadOne83 BJJ is good for one on one street fights, but as for multiple people i'd say krav maga.
munkymaskproductions 1 year ago
@actionmanrandell Self defense BJJ is good for street fights one on one, but the best would be to cross train between krav maga and BJJ. Both arts cover key aspects of fighting, Krav Maga covers weapon defense and stand up fighting, and Gracie jiu jitsu (or kioto BJJ) covers ground fighting.
munkymaskproductions 1 year ago

Droolbaby 1 year ago
Royce and Renzo need to step from the world, find a cave and disappear.
I also find it very curious that the beat down of Royce isnt on You Tube..but the other fights where Royce is degraging himself and the arts is...funny how that works.
Open your eyes people...I know I have.
Droolbaby 1 year ago

WildWilde 2 years ago
I agree; Judo is a very effective method. Also, I think a lot of the emphasis in sport BJJ/grapplling would be very dangerous to do on the street in a real fight.
The other flawed logic is thinking BJJ doesn't require strength. Yea it doesn't require strength if your opponent isn't strong. However, unless you are an exquisite, mastered practitioner, many stronger opponents will be able to power out of many techniques; strength is one of the greatest advantages in any fight.
WhiteShark125 2 years ago
@WhiteShark125 Helio made that statement you just said fraud so many years ago, the only way someone couldwin with strength against someone well trained in BJJ or Gracie style is steroids, Sports work around steroids now the UFC champion is on steroids, 9/10 *athlets* now a days are on steroids, if your logic was true i'm sure you would be much more famous then you are now.
TheTaeKwonDoTube 1 year ago
@TheTaeKwonDoTube Helio is one man, who fought a bigger guy and won, "...so many years ago..." Military personnel, MMA practitioners, security personnel have those stories for a dime a dozen.
I said strength is an advantage. You cited the popularity of steroids; thank you for supporting my position. I don't know, though, how thinking strength is an advantage (or not) should lead me to be "...much more famous..." ??
WhiteShark125 1 year ago
@WhiteShark125 all in all skill and leverage is an advantage a very skilled fighter can overcome a stronger bigger opponent more often then a stronger opponent can overcome a more skilled opponent
