In my opinion,

Kingdom Hearts 1 - Great Story, good gameplay

Kingdom Hearts 2 - Average story, KH1 gameplay with a triangle button

Birth By Sleep - Good Story, refined gameplay, replacing MP with load times for abilities meaning you don't have to save precious MP for bosses and an actual leveling system similar to the Materia system instead of finding abilities in chests around the world.

Verdict:

Birth by Sleep is the best game in the series!

@b0btheasian obviously you havn't played birth by sleep, it takes the fighting style gameplay to a new level, and i don't mean just random stat upgrades when you level up, i mean proper customization. The story in kingdom hearts 2 was a step down from the first and the game as a whole really did nothing to refine the kingdom hearts 1 formula. Also the MP system is dated and more of a hassle in an action RPG

hey everybody great news on kingdom hearts dream drop distance!= a few characters have been revealed, including Lea, Terra-Xehanort, Vanitas, Roxas, Xion, a younger form of Xemnas, Shiki and Rhyme from The World Ends with You, Pete and Maleficent. A new world based on the Tron Legacy movie has also been confirmed. The eight minute video currently being shown at Jump Festa won’t be released until sometime next week, so we’ll have to wait until then to see all of this for ourselves.

This game is awesome even if you are a kh fan or never even played one. Its fast paced action. The Characters are So fun(my fav is aqua). The bosses could be pain but if you level up trust me they become fun and easy. i find my self always going back to Terra story and fighting the last boss again. The soundtrack Is great. I wont lie the worlds were large and that's what made them very dull. As for the camera it wasn't a problem for me at all. Overall for all psp owners....GET THIS GAME

I actually think this is the best Kingdom Hearts game. Just like the reviewer said, the gameplay is great, and the graphics are nice. Sad he didn't say anything about the story though; this game raps everything together wonderfully. It's just as important as Kingdom Hearts 1 & 2, so it is by no means filler either.

I agree. But I'm not gonna complain about the score, 8.5 is good. But with the only fault being the camera/lock on system (Which has been the same in every single KH game), I think a 1.5 point knock off is a bit much. This is my favorite PSP game and Kingdom Hearts game in general as well!

If they take Disney out you lose the entire plot system! Mickey, Donald, Goofy, etc. Sora running around by himself won't be Kingdom Hearts. There is a certain campiness to the Disney aspect that makes me feel like a child again!
