If you think about it, the abbreviation is DNA and it's all about his DNA aka genes, like his love genes that make him transform. I can't be positive because I didn't research this... but I believe that was the idea behind it.. and Angel just sounds better, and also means more to the story then just DNA so DN Angel is better
