  • Beautiful, still amazing after all these years.

  • She's amazing with an audience. She gives so much - I just L0VE her!

  • diana ross started it all she was and is the supreme pop queen

  • Now we see where Lady Gaga gets some of her ideas from.

  • Michael Jackson and Diana Ross..SAY NO MORE..

  • OMG this sooo takes me back to Davy Street art School in Edinburgh... purely cos she was my subject of study !! never ages... x

  • them were the good ole days

  • I was but 3 years old when this Goddess of song was giving this concert. Thank you Diana for giving us some of your light. Shine on woman.

  • I don't know why but she kind of reminds me of yolonda adams.....

  • Before Lady GaGa, Before Madonna There was DIANA ROSS

  • Ive been calling her name for the last 20 mins where the hell is she?lol

  • SHE IS UNIQUE =)

  • She is amazing

  • j adore cette chanson de diana qui me donne tant de frisson!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • donna sumer and diana are my superstar forever...

  • @tsao5916 I agree! Donna is my all time fav, but love Diana too!

  • one word. DIVA

  • WOW!!!! Superb!!! She's the ultimate female performer!

  • ♡。◕ ‿ ◕。♡

  • @fluffMaster101 same

  • Great song. Plus Family Guy brought me here.

  • the greatest female performer bar none.

  • she got vocals check it out 2:30 i think

  • I love the facial expression she makes at 0:50. Like I wish something would try to stop me from getting to you. I love this performance. This is why Diana Ross will always be the Boss!

  • I have loved Ms. Ross since I was 9. I have been to many of her concerts, seating on the 3rd and 4th rows. I have yet to shake her hand. I'm now 45. Ms. Ross if you ever come to Texas. I would love a hug?

  • The belts from 1:05 to 1:25 were amazing. I think this is the best live version!

  • calling diana, my hero

  • I love u dina r

  • the one and only diana ross, the greatest female artist, period, she broke down barriers and was the original pop queen before madonna was ever heard off, this legend has been making hits for 50 years, they dont make them like her anymore and this song is perfection.

  • @SuperGraystoke sorry nobody beats TAMMI TERRELL!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • @russell1501 hello :) every singer has its own beauty if u cant accept that your no good listener

  • @russell1501 but tammy was beaten...out of the race years ago. she was pretty good. had she not passed away young i wonder if there would be the same sentiment. funny how when someone is dead they say how great they were.

  • @SuperGraystoke Tammi Terrell is good, I'll give her that. But she cannot touch DIANA on her best day. DIANA voice is angelic and her stage presence is untouchable.( I didn't even mentoin her interactions with the audience). DIANA is one of a kind. The mold was broken when God made her.

  • @MrDrew5775 You said a mouthful and every word of it was true!

  • @quietlady44 Thank you. I try to call it as I see it. DIANA is a classy woman.

  • @MrDrew5775 - you must be young because everyone knows Diana emulated Tammi Terrill the differenceTammy died so young.

  • @kittykatstatesfacts

Tammy wiil never been forgotten !

  • this song has such a beautiful and unique progression! <3

  • erm.. 2:08 is that how they danced back then O_o

  • 'Diana Ross' one of the greatest voices of all times. Listed in the Guinness book of world records. Wow! what a amazing voice. Love it.

  • Absolutely stunning! She is a living legend who has the voice, class, charm, stage presence and that distinctive jena sais quoi that no other artist/entertainer of her caliber will ever have.

i cried when i read ur comment, it was so touching, i am SOOOOOO happy for you

  • I saw her sing this song in August of 1970 at the Ambassador Hotel in LA. She wore a fire engine red sequined dress with a huge afro. When she came out from behind the curtain, the whole audience went wild. 41 years ago and I can still remember it as though I had just walked out of the showroom. Excellent.

  • Why did people dress like Egyptian priests in the 70's?

  • DDDDIIIVVVAAAA above all DIVAS!!!!

  • I'm seeing her in concert in 9 days! SO PUMPED!

  • in the middle of the noght, in the middle of the day, a rose broke fortth from the words that you say, the love that you gave is so much more then the songs that you sang and even tho you stole my heart there always be a brand new start because you gave us a new song and with each beat of your heart you could nver be wrong so keep on climbing that mountain so high that is the way that you reach the sky so please oh please dont try to get even this is written by dewon micheal stevens @ yahoo.com

  • It is an exquisite joy to view this footage. The magic of Diana Ross and Ashford&Simpson!! R.I.P. Mr Nick Ashford.

  • The super-talented, exquisite, beautiful Diana Ross and a completely perfect song written and produced by the incomparable Ashford and Simpson. There is simply nothing better. RIP, Nick!

  • simply a golden voice with such soul.great motown times.

  • The great Nick and Val masterpiece production. Will miss you always my

    Friend Nick. Rest in peace.

  • This Ashford & Simpson song truly catapulted Diana's solo career. She owes the writers much thanks. The same could be said for Chaka with "I'm Every Woman."

  • Great production of Diana. I remember her version of the song!

  • RIP Nick Ashford

  • Nick Ashford and Valerie Simpson....you know that's gangsta when you can remix your own track. RIP Nick Ashford.

  • dayum what a classic!

  • this performance is legendary

  • i sing this all the time.

  • I love the intro.

  • I know what you mean. I look back at her and wow. She was beyond good. Simply electric and she hasn't lost any of her power as a performer and that is a feat in itself. She is truly a legend. Also this song was voted the greatest Motown song of all time.

  • To all you pro wrestling fans out there (like myself): This was the #1 song in the USA when Yoshihiro Tajiri came into the world (September 29, 1970).

  • she is the most amazig soul singer I have ever ever heard

  • where have all the years gone?at least i still have the memories and the girl i loved ahh probably still do would love to see her again .i wasnt strong enough to climb the mountain. and here i sit just wishing i could turn back time.now theres another 2 good tracks

  • I don't believe Tammi & Marvins version went Number 1 , Diana's did, I like Both, They are Very Different, neither is a Thousand Times better than the other, It's just individual taste

  • C'mon ... Tammi Terrel was 1000 times better than Diana Ross with this song ...

  • Oh lord she can sing. THESE are singers. Not the fake auto-tuned singers. Yes, there are still people out there that can sing very good still, but there are so many auto-tuned now and who CAN'T sing. e.e

Diana's got a powerful and beautiful voice.

    Comments from a 15 year old. :3

  • @claustrophobic1234 i just had the displeasure of seeing a clip of katie perry singing fireworks live. she was wearing a cheap knock off of a diana style outfit. it was embarrassing to say the least. these people think they can sing. its, as you say, trickery in the studio.

  • @wonderboyjoy Katy Perry's not exactly one of the best singers, but she can sing though. As much as I don't care for Justin Bieber, I have to admit that he can sing. I mostly hate him because of his personality and attitude though...But, singers like Diana Ross? And don't forget about sweet Adele. Oh goodness Adele has a voice. Gorgeous, pure, straight out talent. No need for auto-tune.

  • @claustrophobic1234 i also like justin beiber and i think he gets picked on a bit. young guys seem to be easy fodder for homophobic taunts etc but i think he is ok. as for katy, yes she can sing a little...machines do the rest.

  • @wonderboyjoy I never said I liked Justin Bieber though...Yes, I will admit he has a very good voice and can sing very well. As for his personality and attitude...No. I don't like him because of that. e.e

Lot of boy singers get picked on about the homophobic thing though. Him especially though because of how his voice sounds when he sings

  • @claustrophobic1234 cheers and have a great day

  • Your video post inspired my prayer - I mean no disrespect in sharing - my bottom line is much love!"YAWEH, my Deliver, my Conquerer-Your word alone is truth! I called. You answered immediately. All things were forced to surrender unto You. Holy Spirit, though I am the least of all, daily, You fill me with laughter, light, happiness, forgiveness & love; all anger is removed so quickly I barely recall it being present. Yeshua there is no mountain too great to keep me from You ever again.

  • Voice as good as ever, but the hair tied back makes her look older, like Cicely Tyson.

  • Love the boys, cute butts!

  • Bahahahahahahaha @ the gay gay gay dancers... Kudos to them...

  • @chiwawaboy77

yes but they should have looked after Michael Jackson for the glory of God

  • that was wierd, my computer paused when it showed their butts.. 2:47

  • @rawritmeansiloveu143 myb ur comp is gay :/

  • @n1kelly1 maybe it is..

  • excelente cancion con su voz espectacular...

  • Diana Ross have everything right,Extraordinary Talent, voice, beauty, humanity and able stay normal. She Is with no doubt Queen of our century. With out touching Billie Holiday. But Billie is totally different category.

  • @Nikodaddy1 lol...yeah... a junkie! lol

  • @Nikodaddy1 you better cut that out or theyll throw you in the hospital for being obsessed LOL!

  • @Nikodaddy1 well Billie was fucked up and died so + 1 for Ross for living for the music not the drugs

  • @Reezer83 i agree. many say that mary is a survivor, and she is...but mary has not had 25 years of hatred put upon her like diana has...and she is still here touring and singing and turning up at fashion events etc etc...diana is one heck of a survivor and i love her for it.

  • The power of her voice, a living legend! Sensational.

  • I remember going to see this concert in Las Vegas in 1982 and it's something I will never, ever forget. Diana is such an artist and entertainer. This concert, Diana and the just pure excitement and glamor of this will forever be in my heart and memory. Thank you, Diana, for such a wonderful performance and memory. I will never, ever forget you and how I felt when I saw you.

  • I wish I was there to see this.

  • To lincsposter, you virtually nulled any validity you had by using nationality as part of your responses; you generalize an entire nation without taking into account that, unfortunately, not everybody falls under your ignorant, simplistic labels. I should be like you and say, Typical European response. But I'm not you. :)

  • wow~~live god~~she sings so powerful thoug she lays

  • awesome

  • Une voix merveilleuse, une chanson d'une incroyable qualité. Ca donne vraiment envie.

  • I don't know about anyone else, But I want the Biggest Baddest Lesbian in The Platoon Watching my Back in a Fox Hole!

    It is 2011? (Isn't it?)

  • @TheReturnOfBigBear

While he spews homophobia online, it's jut a matter of time before he comes out of the closet-unless, that is, he's really unattractive & knows that he'll NEVER get the kind of guys he wants, so, he'll just stay in the closet, be a homophobic jerk, join a church full of closet-cases, while paying top dollar(or, at least, what he considers "top dollar") for male companionship.

We've seen his pattern so many times, it's ridiculous.:)

  • This is a real woman. Not aggressive man hating harpies like Beyonce.

  • yep gay!

  • @Kayla1557 When will Americans move into this century! Gay? So what? Are you so far behind the rest of the world that you think you are making a point? How sad! An insult to Miss Ross!

  • That is just TOO funny when the boy dancers come out.....I'm not sure, but I think they might be GAY!

  • @SakaPC1 LOL! What a stupid but typically American comment! If you have to lower your comments to your suspected sexuality of an act.... what do you watch in the US? lol! Are you not aware such comments cause a great deal of offence to others?

  • Comment removed

  • @lincsposter I don't know what country you live in ?I can tell you one thing, while the enemy is attacking I wouldn'y want my troops in a fox hole sucking each other off. No reply necessary. Thank you IF you believe theirs a god, he made Adam and Eve,not adam an steve.

  • @bser3973 I am from the United Kingdom and a basic look before making such a stupid comment would have told you that! Perhaps sexual freedom is not allowed in the US? The rest of the world apart from some sad counties accept life as life. It is your sad attitude that caused the man who cracked the German codes during the Second WW to commit suicide just because he was gay. He saved millions of lives and could have saved many more had people like you kept your mouths shut!

  • I saw her do this show at Radio City Music Hall. One of my great concert experiences.

  • Hahahahahahah, would you look at those dancers, lol.God,the 70s were the BEST years!

  • How tall is Miss Ross?

Too bad she didn't record this with the Supremes...It just reminds me of them.

  • Yes! Good music.

  • Diana's voice had a certain piercing resonance that didn't require her to shout like you hear many singers doing.

  • September 1979... What a great time to be here on Earth with heavenly music like this and Diana in her prime... God, what a gift you gave us!

  • she looks like she made her dress out the bed sheets and pillow cases from her hotel room.

  • @wantsomecoffee , Hotel? Diana didn't stay in hotels while in Vegas. She stayed in private homes she rented, usually owned by people like Elton John or Liberace or Sigfried and Roy. I'd love to see your negative, tasteless ass do better. At least she can design and wear her own clothes, instead of buying mass produced shit off the discount rack like you do. And by the way, it's called satin, sequins and silk.

  • @SpazChat hey, know what? go read the comments on your channel and add my name to the list. who really cares about diana ross anyway?

  • she looks like an angel!!!!

  • Angel..!

  • lmao i wasnt expecting the dudes to be oober gay. lmao im gay but thats going to far. lmao

  • i always thought this was a bad look for her.

  • Beautiful!

  • She was a diva all right. She probably alienated the other members of The Supremes to the point they were glad to see her gone. It's a pity when talent is in screwed up people. Sad.

  • fantastic

  • she is so much better live, than recorded. love you D. <3

  • she is simply the best, Love you Diana

  • é diva

    fazer o que ?

    é so sentar e adimirar

  • Diana is a soul she is great

  • aires...

  • Diana... a true soul...

  • Miss Ross, The Boss! Hell Yeah!

  • My favorite singer now

  • De todo mi gusto, desde pequeño la escuchaba en los 70, y tenia cierta magia en su composicion. Esta artista es una verdadera leyenda, Me lleva a una epoca muy especial de mi vida.

  • this is not her song it will & always will be the one & only Tammi Terrell's song

  • Diana at her very best! Legendary forever!

  • You got that right!

  • God, Diana, you are the best! Go girl. My favorite gal!

  • Her personal magnetism and charisma are off the charts!!! I've seen her in concert many times now and always, always, it's a mind blowing event. No one like her.

  • not trying to be disrespectful at all, but i think michael jackson got plastic surgery that resembled Diana Ross in his early surgeries, he really looked like her in a good way in the 80s

  • No matter whre you are, I'll be there......true love......Thank you miss Diana Ross

  • love diana ross :D

  • that was the bizness!

  • Pure grace and class
