@withamila this is not music... it's gaatha... in sri lanka, this is used in significant occasions (such as independence day and other significant events, weddings etc) for blessing.. :)

As for me who follows theravada this is nothing more than beautiful song, with a good melody.

According to lord Buddha teachings one cant make chantings to songs because the basic idea in Buddhism is not to find ways to like things or to attach to things but to find ways to be away from things which keep us tightly bound to the bhava.

this is part of the gayamangala gaatha and its in pali.

Some pronunciation is not to the point, but to be honest, I really liked it. Music is very soothing, and going well with the Jaya Mangala Gatha. Hi This should be named as Maha Jaya Mangala Gatha and Maha Mangala Sutra is starting by " Evang Me Suthang Ekang Samayang Bhagawa" the fist verse after this states "Bahu Devaa Manussacha - Mangalani Achinthayung,

Aakankamaanaa Sotthaana - Bruuhi Mangala Muttamang"

and each verse ends with the statement "Eathang Mangala Muttamang"
