  • ive got a vn v6 stock with just a pod filter and big exhaust and i can beat most skylines and even WRXs... my mechanic even phones me up constantly begging me to take him for a spin.. haha i love being a owner of a sik holden.. i even get skooolgirls and shit that love my car.. vn v6s are the way to go if you are after earth shattering performance and chicks

  • That's funny, there are probably 300 of them out there not dropping dead at even 100,000kms plus.

    Those that will die are the ones that are abused, just like any engine will die with a stupid owner.

  • @dantheman121983 A 90 degree V6 so it's probably derived from the 4.3L we have in north america. Known as a 3/4 350(5.7), a dime a dozen, and 5.7 parts can be used on them.

  • @Veikra yea its a stroked 3.8 had a 78 malibu that had a stroked 3.8 she ran like a dream with the manual 3 speed

  • yeah mate its an auto it has s2 shift kit and a 2800 histall its also running a kalmaker pcm. and im putting 3.9-1 diff gears in after xmas.

  • they definitly shut down 5ltrs and some ls1s but in saying that if you spend that much on a v8 you will get alot more power

  • I got the same 4.2L stroker kit from COME racing and with Stage 3 COME racing heads, tune, twin hi flow cats, extractors it made 160rwkw. Sounds sick, the exhaust note is sweet. It fries 1st and 2nd and a little bit of 3rd. Had traction issues at Willowbank and ran 14.8s 1/4mile.

  • A shite load but it's worth it. You'll get it for around $15,000 give or take a bit. Also has the Come Racing manifold plenum and twin throttle body with a CAI and king dragon panel filter.

  • ive got the st3 come racing stroker with ported heads in my vt and it ran a 14.2 at willowbank with a stock 3.08 opencenter. im putting 3.07-1 lsd and should be in the 13s as for fun you stand on it and it fries 1st 2nd almost into 3rd i love it

  • Is that an auto? Just wondering cos I took my 5spd manual out (getrag) to Willowbank in June (it was cold) and the best I ran was 14.6s with 0.7s Reaction time and a 3.45LSD center. The VT is heavier than my VS so that is going pretty good to pull that time.

  • im not the dude that made the video or anything but i know there are stroker kits for the 3.8 buick motors, there not a 4.2 but, instead a 4.3, go to pro stroke, they do some of the best stroking kits

  • no 4.2 is not a little big for a v-6 my dads jep is a 4.0 and a straight six. my friends mustang gt 03 is a v8 but its only 4.8 and thats a really small v8

  • 4.2 is a little big for a V6. the straight six is a different engine. different firing order, different design, etc.

    and your buddy's mustang gt has a DOHC 4.6 V8

    4.8 is a Vortec motor

  • I don't know too much about cars, in fact I'm pretty incompetent when it comes to them. However isn't 4.2 litres a little big for a V6? Also, does "stroking" it produce much more power?

  • yes stroking an engine does produce more power, alot more (not as much as a blower tho), in fact its the only reason you would stroke an engine unless you were dying to get worse fuel economy. i know of a company who are curently working on a 4.2 stroker kit for the 3.8 v6, their test car ran low 14's down the 1/4. hope this was helpful:)
