  • @if you knew my infinite charm....(creepy face)

  • hell yea, dude who uploaded this shit,"u my nigga"...\m/

  • I FINALLY HAVE HEADPHONES!!! YEE HAAA! QUEENSRYCHE AS LOUD AS I WANT! hehehe.... i know... am pitaful, lol.

  • The only band that ever mattered....Ever!! yup yup

  • Love this song - their best in my opinion though gutted when i found out it was a cover!

  • The original is pretty cool, but I think this cover is better. The incessant 80's synth background in the original is a bit grating.

I have also viewed this song as a commentary on the sleazy, creepy "girls, girls, girls/ fuck em and dump em" objectification that the Queensryche's contemporaries (Motley Crue/Scorpions/etc) were engaging in at the time.

  • @dianemonteitn Similar, Eddie Vedder covering "Indio" (Hard Sun).

I'm sure Queensryche, respected Lisa Dalbello; simply by covering this song.

That's the ultimate part of musical respect: a cover. All good, I'm sure!

  • Awesome song.......epitome of 80's

  • you would think i'm a fool or maybe some kind of lunatic

you would think i'm wasting my time but i know what to do with it

IT'S AS PLAIN AS BLACK AND WHITE

I'm gonna get close to you... so close to you... i'm gonna get close to you... oh so close

    The best lines.

  • Dalbellos versions is sooo much better

  • @TheStickynoodle Queensryche were big fans of Lisa Dalbello's. There was a rumour that Geoff Tate and Lisa were dating.

  • @TheStickynoodle nawwwwwwwwwwwwwww

  • So close

  • Love the uploader's comments although I fear for the adullt wearing diaper populace, which there is a good chance we'll be joining in a decade or so

  • lacht... so alt und schön,,, ich bin jung ;=)geblieben haha

  • Brandy, remember this? Here's 2U my friend. RIP.

  • EINFACH GEIL!!!!!!!!!

  • Objectively I think the original is better, but personally I prefer this version. Maybe because I heard this one first.

  • @amary7940

really? I find this version objectively better, they own this song, it's quite impressive when a band takes a cover and owns the song, like Jimi Hendrix with All Along the Watchtower

  • @dylanskriloff Absolutely, friend.

    Rule #1 of Cover Tunes:

Never do it as well, or worse, than the original version.

If you perform it as well, you're just regurgitating someone else's art. If you do it worse, then you're butchering art. Simple enough, right?

Queensryche does, indeed, OWN this song. \m/

  • @amary7940 That is usually 90% of the time, when it comes to original vs. the first version I hear. One example is Come on feel the noise by Quiet Riot vs. Slade. This was the last Queensryche album me and my mother would listen to, before she traded the Rock genre for Hiphop and Pophop crap these days. I myself am stronger in this genre still.

  • @drmattisinthehouse Wow, I didn't know Come on Feel the Noise was a cover. I was about to post a comment asking if you weren't thinking of Mama We're All Crazy Now (as I actually knew that was a Slade cover). But not being fond of the taste of my own foot (I'm safely assuming) I thought I better look it up first. But you're right, that was a cover too.

  • This version is great, but I like Dalbello's better. This is one is a bit too noisy...Dalbello's is so much more suggestive and subtle.

  • Original song by Dalbello, but Q's version much better!

  • this is my first time responding this whatever anywho i'm a metalhead from way back so you newbees want to check out some not so familiar bands from the 80's try Loudness and Malmsteen and if you like black metal there's Grim Reaper and Celtic Frost I'm on my granddaughter site but this is O.G.Playa 101

  • My favorite song from these guys!!!! Great for a stalker song! What about AC DC and their stalker song too lol!!

  • the best stalker song of all time!!!

  • Operation Mindcrime is, IMHO, their best album. This, IMHO, might be their best song.

Rage for Order is a criminally underrated album.

  • Great song. I remember the first time I heard it... excellent. It seems to be over in flash and love the solo too. .. fade to black.

  • music for the musician!

  • QUEENSRYCHE 4LIFE !

  • Dalbello's original is way better

  • @fabian456 your wrong man... this is much better sung, more melodic... :-) The original is good, but this is improved.

  • Fucking brilliant song!

  • Damn that beat is so sexy in a villainous way!

  • The original comes from Dalbello, I prefer the QR-Version!

  • geoff tates vocal work here is nothing short of amazing!!

  • Outside of the context, it is at a superiour level. Great stuff.

  • piece of art my friends.....

  • The line "maybe I'm wrong, maybe I'm right, maybe I'm some kind of lunatic" always makes me smile. There's just something about it.

  • as good a cover as they come, after all these years it still sounds great.

  • This is a cover from Lisa Dalbello.

  • STILL THE BEST, HES MY BRO (GEOFF)

  • Good lord! This side of Geoff is orgasm inducing. There is nothing they have done that I don't like, but this is just awesome. My absolute favorite Queensryche song.

  • @ericcarr4evr I agree and I am mostly hetro. This song makes me want to do him.

The chemistry involved is such a turn on. In fantasy, if this stud were outside my window, I would splay him and spray him.

  • I love this song. its awesome the way they sing it i like it better like this.

  • I can't believe after all these years that today I am finding out this is a cover...

  • When i would date this chick..she was my favorite F@UCK...and she turned me onto this song LOL...she was like "wow what a great singer"...

  • One of their greatest songs ......nobody seems to be commenting on that.

  • It is a great song, but it isn't theirs. This is a cover. This was originally done by some Canadian chick called Dalbello back in 1984. They did do a great job covering it though. They put their own spin on it while still keeping the vibe of the song true to the original.

  • Written by Dalbello, its a cover, but a great cover

  • written by mick ronson for dalbello, covered by Q.R. ;-))

  • no shit? Good info thanks

  • @dylanskriloff

hahahaha...no shit! mick was the producer(?)of dalbello and started her career with this song.sorry for my english!

  • my sincerest apologies...

I did not intend for that message to end up at this ... conjunction (as it were)

fraginat0r has been razzing me about the meaning of the word "mullet"

  • wow! seems like you are as popular as you are friendly...

maybe if you could refrain from spitting out hateful garbage, you might get a little better response

! as for me, i am completely unimpressed with your crybaby insults demanding attention....

why don't you just hire a nanny to change your lil' die-dee and give you a fresh pacifier!!

  • what are you rambling on about?

  • sorry, mate.

    i must've f--d up the posting

  • THE FUCKING BIRTH OF INDUSTRAIL!!!

  • No. No it's not. Not even in the metal scene.

  • This has to be the ultimate stalker anthem.

  • @Ribelin2000

    tu pourrais traduire, mec ?

  • this hole album is better then operation mind crime

  • I love both of the albums. They are so different but they are still Queensryche. They still don't get all the credit they deserve.

  • my son and i just saw them in dallas, house of blues, finest singer i have ever seen,, that is all, great intimate show. j in k
