Gillis is a monster player. For those who haven't, check out his solo albums. Some fantastic playing on those (as would be expected). He is musical and has a tonne of energy (like this video shows! ha, ha). Night Ranger is such a great band and Brad is a major component of that greatness. Too bad Jeff has flown off, but this cat seems like a likeable guy, and his chops must be top flight if he was chosen for the spot. Good for him.

I took lessons from Joel from 95-98 in Downers Grove, IL and he's the coolest guy ever. I can remember he practiced with a Purple Jackson. I wonder if he still has that thing, lol. I just thought of him the other day while I was playing and Googled him and I'm so happy he's doing really well. Rock on Joel!

Brad Gillis is one of the greatest players off all time. Im not so big into Night Ranger, however Brads whammy bar work is hands down the greatest of all time. His work on Speak of The Devil is amazing!!

Yes, he was indeed great with Ozzy. I loved how he did the classic Ozzy material. I never quite heard why Ozzy never did an album with Brad or why Brad didn't last long. Was it Brad's choice? Perhaps to rejoin Night Ranger? Brad Gillis, Rudy Sarzo, Tommy Aldridge. Great lineup.

I remember when Speak of the Devil first came out, I was blown away by the guitar work. And then when I found out it was the dude from Night Ranger, I was like, "What? No way". So I've been a fan of Brad Gillis' ever since.

And Joel Hoekstra looks like he could be Sebastian Bach's twin brother.

That was a really cool interview, it really showed the love these guys have for the music and performing, and honestly, it would blow me away too, if I were on tour with Journey hanging out with Neal Schon!
