@Augustus7669 best thing to do is not to compare the two. the OVA wins out in animation quality and music IMHO, but the plot of the anime ties everything together nicely.

This scene was just awesome! I love Anita when she fights!! She's just SOO cool! I also love Michelle with her calm/smiling face whenever she shoots and I find the animals that Maggie makes somehow really cute!

@moogle890 Sure thing. This scene is from R.O.D. The TV, the TV series from the franchise. The other animated piece you might encounter, is the 3-episode-long Read or Die OVA, which is a prequel to the series.

@moogle890 Tv means it was televise ... meaning it got hit in the braodcasting networks. other anime's dont make it through the broadcasting system of japan meaning they failed to be televise ...

This series was indeed airing on TV, while a previous installment of animation, also called Read or Die, was an OVA edition, meaning it didn't air on TV, but was directly sold as a tape (and/or maybe DVD, I'm not sure). So in order to have some difference between the original OVA and the spin-off series, they put the TV tag there. However, the original being an OVA doesn't mean it failed to be televised.

Well, you could call it Read or Dream too, since the manga's title was that, but personally, I prefer to use Read or Die, since it was distributed under the name "Read or Die - Enchanted by Letters" here in Hungary.

This has the characters of Read or Dream plunged into the storyline of Read or Die. Being that Read or Dream was a spinoff of Read or Die, it's only fair they join the main series.
