I hooked a camcorder to a VCR and recorded a shot of my street in front of my house and every 6 hours when the tape was finished I scanned through to see what cars passed (very slow street) and I went through an WEEK before I saw a Hyattsville cruiser go down my street.
Yea I live near there too. No crime in this neighborhood....noooo...that's why my car was stolen right in front of my house the other year...Hyattsville cops sit at the 7-11 or play security guard at Lees instead of patrolling streets like they should.
I love that! I live a couple blocks away on 40th Place I saw what seemed to be wild turkeys (maybe really big chickens?) near that intersection.
As for the previous comment, I haven't heard of any crime in this neighborhood and I love it! I feel extremely safe here, and it's getting better everyday.
You also forgot to mention that Hyattsville is also known for its high crime rate, police who fail at their jobs, and the general fear of anyone who lives here.
Hyattsville, whereever it is, obviously provides a very safe place for the chickens.
