My dad bought a 2011 Chevy silverado HD with the Duramax and Allison 1000 transmission. It is pulling beast. He pulls a mini excavator and a skidsteer at least twice a month depending on the job and weather.
Lol thanks for the replies guys. This trust was sold and he bought a 2011 LTZ with the 6.2L v8. Bad ass. But yeah the chain was brand new. We bought it just to pull the truck out lol
I hope you had the chains inside the truck before you used them for the 18 wheeler. or atleast had them wormer than the outside sir. cold it metals worst enemy, the metal can get cold and fragil and could snap inder pressure and damage the 18 wheeler or your beutiful truck. I dont think you or the 18 wheeler driver would be too happy about that. lol
next time put a bunch of snow in the bed for weight and it would have saved some tire tread. I have lived in tahoe for years and my friends with only 2wd can run all over town in the snow with that added weight as opposed to spinning on top of the ice. All it takes is a water hose to unload it quickly. A strap works better than a chain because it flex's almost like a bungy which helps as well.
@aggiefan1011 wanna make a bet, All chevy's 2007 and up started using Allison Transmissions. I work in a Transmission shop so your telling me theres no allison in it?? Take a look it's got the spinon filter and allison on the bottom of the pan. Would you like to try again please?? 2006 the body style I have has either the 4l80E or 4L60E if it's a 2500 and up they have the allisons.

I love the allison transmissions in those trucks, it was an upgrade from the 4l60 but you can usually run the shit out of most chevy transmissions before you blow gears and sprags apart same with the 4l60's but the allisons take the most abuse! I love chevy's cause you can usually do that 6-7 times before they start to wear or knock out get a ford or a dodge they fuckin blow apart revvin that high

why would he not cut the wheels back and forth anytime your spinning like this you are suppose to do that. gets you more traction and gets you not spinnin as much
and this is a 1500 u see all these videos about ford 350 pulling an 18 out of a snow pit and they have just as much if not more trouble getting it out
