Thingfish is gratuitously ODD, like a Marx brothers movie. Also It's a satire of AIDS as germ warfare by the US government. a slogan at the time. Also, it's a satire about the facades of shitheads and their secret hungers and stupidities. When do you get to hear the hypocrisies of culture set to music. It's also an excuse to stack together Zappa songs for a musical. the plots not that important, you figure it out. It's not Gershwin. Broadway blackface is dated, but here it is given a twist.
