The only thing I would add is to make sure you wear synthetic materials. Cotton will get wet and stay wet. Synthetics dry quicker to keep you dry and minimize the chance of hypothermia.

Another option for making your gun white without paint or string... use white hockey tape.. it works great as well

while all of that is cool, warm, and fresh, it doesnt seem practical, i dont know about everyone else, but spending like 200$ on winter paintball clothes (especially white stuff) will end up biting you in the ass, its going to be covered in an assortment of wonderful paints :P

the easiest way to reduce thermal issues is to keep separation. snowshoes provide flotation keeping you both above the snow and reducing the effort you exert preventing both hypothermia and over heating; both can put you in the hospital or the morgue year round.

great advice wolf here in Colorado a lot of players in the winter time keep there paint in coolers for both summer and winter games to keep them more consistent. Don't know if anyone else does it but thought I'd share!! Keep them coming Borg would be proud!! Hounddog out!
