The "fair tax" is not that good of an idea. Currently if you earn less than ~$15,000 you pay 0% but if you earn over ~$100,000 then you pay 25 or 30%. Once I get my certifications I will be in the larger tax bracket and I understand that the fair tax is a negative action. Lower income families need the break and with the current tax cuts, we have a good balance because if we tax the wealthy, they will only increase prices or move jobs.
