The health care system in Canada is excellent. We don't debate the need for all people to have access to care. We also do not allow people to wait for urgent or necessary treatment; to ensure this you will have cases where someone has been sent to the USA and the cost is completely covered by our government. No one in Canada has every lost a home or declared bankruptcy due to illness. Americans voted Ronald Regan their greatest American, Canadians -Tommy Douglas who brought us health care.

I am fully well aware of what is going on in not just the UK but all of Europe. I keep an eye on it but I don't let it run my life either. I have always wanted to live in Europe where my ancestors came from and I will be damned if I am going to let that shit scare me away. Britain's pro's and con's actually suit me better. I know many brits that moved here that absolutely love canada and I know some that hate it and are moving back.
Besides, the UK isnt the only place with crime ;) Don't get me wrong I am not going anywhere near London. But I do have friends in the UK who are helping me out. I was gonna go this year, but decided to wait until the economy gets a bit better.

@iraz82 I don't know crater lake oregon - but Canada has 32,000+ lakes greater than a square mile in area - and there are many lakes like the one shown at 2:36. in fact we have our own 'crater lake' in alberta.
