  • When I saw the DeLorian fly, I creamed a little.

  • ofcoarse it needs the to be continued

  • cool

  • thank you so much...i knew it used to say that shit!...i thought i was losing my mind...

  • who cares about the 'to be continued' line...so what!!!

stop being so cringeworthy and cheesy, your all worse then the avatar fans honestly

  • Sorry I don't listen to people born after Back to the Future Part II

  • I don't listen to anyone that watched Back To The Future II regardless of WHEN they were born.

  • i saw this on dvd for the first time last week and wondered why they took that out.

  • EmperorofCartoons and fubar1173 I wrote what I heard on the commentary of found on the Back to the Future DVD.If Bob Gale and Robert Zemeckis said that ,there's a ight possibility that they are right. And it is impossible for me to remember the lm in theaters because i was born in 1993!

  • actually that's not true I definitely remember the "to be continued" ending when I saw this in the theater in 85.

  • Definitely agree, I saw this in the theater and "To Be Continued" was certainly there.

  • I'm wondering when the Blue Ray version will come out.

  • In the original theatrical version, there was no "To be continued" line because Back to the Future wasn't intended to have any sequels. If I am not mistaken,Universal put the 'To be continued on the vhs version, because at the time of the vhs release, they knew they would be doing BTTF 2. So any fan seeing the film on vhs would realise there is going to be another film. They removed it from the dvd release, so it would be loyal to the orignal one

  • @IsaacBTTF Yep. They never intended to do a sequel.

  • Some asshole made that up, that is NOT true.

  • This is what I was talking about.

In another post I was asking "where's the 'to be continued' words at the end"?

    Now I know why.

    Thx.

  • The train ending in BttF 3 is the best though

  • The "to be continued" thing wasn't on DVD for some reason.

  • Lives? Where we're going we don't need lives.

*Gets out his gun and kills Marty and Lorraine, before committing suicide*

  • ...We're going Rhodes

  • I liked it without the to be continued banner. Personally, I didn't think the sequels were very good and I think the original works much better as a stand alone film, especially since that was what it was originally intended to be.

  • Well your entitled to you opinion on the sequels, even through your wrong, but you are right about the first one, except I have always seen it with the To Be Continued and that's how I like it, even thought there was quite a time when it was a single film and some thought that the to be continued bit was just a gag.

  • @trailersic Who says you get to decide whose OPINIONS are right and wrong? An opinion isn't right or wrong. It is what you believe.

  • @NedandMac

I say I get to decide.

If you don't like it, tough.

  • @trailersic Who made you in charge? Where I live, we vote on the guy who makes the decisions.

  • yep that's their reasoning, that the theatrical version didn't but when it was such a hit they added it for all future presentations, except the dvd.

  • That short "To Be Continued..." clip is shown in the Making of's on the DVD, but why didn't they put it back in?

Did the original theatrical version not include this tagline?

  • Yes. The DVDs have the original theatrical versions of the films.

Still, I would've liked the ending to have stayed... I mean, the second film has a To Be Concluded title, why not the first have a To Be Continued one?

  • Because the theatrical release of BTTF was not written to include a sequel. If it did, then writers Robert Zemeckis and Bob Gale would not have had Jennifer go with Marty and Doc to the future at the end of the movie.

  • Um, I know (and it makes sense, too). I just think it'd have served the film better, since the sequels are out there, anyway.

I miss the To Be Continued sign, honestly...

  • I don't blame ya. I really don't mind either way since it's just one small change and it doesn't really effect the movie at all.

The one thing I do like more about part 1 than part 2 is the actress who played Jennifer.

  • Here in Brazil we can see this ending on TNT. It´s the only channell that broadcast this version

Aqui no Brasil nós podemos ver esse final na TNT. É o único canal que exibe essa versão (e com a dublagem da BKS)
