I find the clock beautiful. I think it signifies both old and new. Why can't Ebbw Vale have something that bring the town back to life. Lets hope the rest of the regeneration is as good. I wonder if Maggie would be like all the miserable arses when she decided to kill the town. I from London and I don't think it's a waste of money. Six months on from my last comment and I can say in all honesty that I hate the Ebbw Vale town clock and the large steel balls that are placed around the base of it and on the pavements.
The clock and balls (clock I said) doesn't fit in with the town, they look cheap and nasty, its hard to see what time it is from a distance especially if its a sunny day, it stopped working last year for a couple of weeks each side had a different time, a perfect example of a sterile local council in action.
The clock in Ebbw Vale is tacky, tasteless and visually, its headache inducing much like the Multi Storey carpark and the grubby seats in Whetherspoons.
Maybe the members of Blaenau Gwent council should start taking drugs for inspiration and stop looking in the mirror all the time.
U can even seen the cctv only installed to stop hilltop boys starting on u when your on your own walking home from the tav for no reason with bats LMFAO :-D
I thought the covered walkway was just a 'smoking shelter' for the 5 arches frequenters, but someone once told me that 'when you do things right, no one will be sure that you've done anything at all'.
