Those votes aren't enough to offset Franken's margin.

This is more accurate Coleman:"I WON! It would be incredibly NAZI of Franken to demand a legally appropriate recount considering my HUGE 170 vote margin and let the taxpayers pay for it". jp, well as far as "preventing a rep for months" obviously if you were for this lengthy recount process after Coleman won the election, you can't say "alright everybody stop now" now that Franken's ahead. Let's do the full drug out version of checking everything, claims about substitute ballots for damaged ballots being counted twice on top of the damaged ones, etc etc. And when all the lawsuits are done, we'll know if the Republicans got annihilated in the Senate (41) or just obliterated (42)

I'm all for checking everything (though not trough Coleman lawsuits). But let's not confuse things here, it was FRANKEN who immediately called for all absentee ballots to be counted and Coleman who only wanted half of them counted. I took a short break from this soap opera after that but the intentions were crystal clear. Same with Coleman challenging twice the votes Franken did. He knows he's the loser. I think it's unfair to bar the dems from one of their legitimate senate votes.

Though I can understand it, I have zero sympathy for republican politicians and would probably, if I were calling the shots on the democratic side, do everything to undermine them as well. Officials are supposed to mark these as "duplicate" and segregate the original ballots. But it appears some officials may have failed to mark ballots as duplicates, which are now being counted in addition to the originals.
