sorry for my english it would be easier for me in french
PRAISE JESUS - don't be like the Pharisees from the bible, become true followers of God and follow the example of his son! Organized religion doesn't matter - living in the denial of sin does. We are annointed, as Christians, by the blood of Jesus ... don't let his death be in vain, I urge everyone to purify themselves before it is too late.
@Uranija28 lol what a Catholic are you then? "Don't need to oppress the others" - wasn't our duty to spread our faith among heathens? To prove by our deeds, that we are following the only right path?
Our only duty is to live what we believe, and let others believe theirs.
Otherwise, the talk about respecting 'different other' is pure bs. Catholic state is the aim of the insecure ones that have to institutionalise their belief.
@adamantis4657 mmm its more like one true church The Holy Roman Catholic Church.
Jesus said to PETER: You are PETER(which means rock) and upon THIS rock I BUILD MY CHURCH. Peter then moved to Rome and founded Christ's church, the Roman Catholic Church.
Still Catholic and Orthodox believe about the same thing, its more of a geographical issue.
Will will rise from the ashes.... first thing that came to mind. I would love to sing this in choir!!!!! I some times wish they didn't let the Mass be said in english..... because now no one says it in latin.... and then random side notes get added in.... "Announcement time" "clap for the choir" the list goes on... Keep it Simple and Sacred.
I would like to hear from you, my Catholic brothers, what do you think about the heresy of the Second Vatican Concilium, which turned the church into a joke, and the mass of our Lord into a mass protestant alike... what do you think about the two freemason anti-popes? (John XXIII and Paul VI) those turned the glorious church founded by our Lord Jesus Christ into a heresy that afirms that all sects and cults are the same, this sounds very "Freemason"
@lalungenuictdestens I don't believe that either Pope was a Freemason. The Freemasons don't want a Mason for a Pope. In a document that found its way to the hands of Pope Gregory XVI, which was later publically published in Cretineau-Joly's "The Roman Church and Revolution" per request of Pope Pius IX, the Masons stated:
"We do not intend to win the Popes to our cause, to make of them neophytes of our principles, propagators of our ideas. That would be a ridiculous dream; and if events turn out
@lalungenuictdestens in some way, if Cardinals or prelates, for example, of their own free will or by surprise, should enter into a part of our secrets, this is not at all an incentive for desiring their elevation to the [S]ee of Peter. That elevation would ruin us. Ambition alone would have led them to apostasy; the requirements of power would force them to sacrifice us."
They do go on to say, however, that they wish for their ideals to permeate the culture so much that Popes are influenced by
"Now then, to assure ourselves a Pope of the required dimensions, it is a question first of shaping for him, for this Pope, a generation worthy of the reign we are dreaming of. Leave old people and those of a mature age aside; go to the youth, and, if it is possible, even to the children... You will contrive for yourselves,
at little cost, a reputation as good Catholics and as pure patriots... In a few years, by the force of
@lalungenuictdestens things, this young clergy will have overrun all the functions; they will govern, they will administer, they will judge, they will form the sovereign’s council, they will be called to choose the Pontiff who should reign. And this Pontiff, like most of his contemporaries, will be necessarily more or less imbued with the Italian and humanitarian principles that we are going to begin to put into circulation."
Sorry about the length of the comment if it of any annoyance.
@lalungenuictdestens The bloodline of Christ is alive and well and living in the south of France where they make Roquefort to this day and a truly wonderful cheese it is too. We must hide them.. OOps Ive let the cat out the bag again.
@lalungenuictdestens I don't want to start any sort of fight, but what authority do you have to declare Vatican II a heresy? You claim that the Church took the Catholic mass and made it very much like a protestant mass. I will certainly agree that the Latin mass (my personal favorite mass) conveys a much more traditional sense. I would simply like to point out that ever since Christianity started out, we were assimilating pagan holidays and locations to help draw converts to the Faith.
@kopackjm: The RCC is heretic and schismatic! All her masses are uncanonical and far away from being patristic.
Everything was set aside that constitutes a church: Holy Chant, Holy Iconography, Prostrations, the Divine Liturgy was turned into Mass with Rock Music.etc.
This church is heretic! There is only ONE TRUE CHURCH = HOLY ORTHODOXY
@adamantis4657 I don't know what masses you've been looking at, but Mass does NOT have rock music. Not in any of the churches I've been to, and believe me, I've been to alot of them. In addition, none of those things which you listed constitute a church. A church is much more that chants, icons, and prostrations. The Roman Catholic Church still offers the original Latin mass in many, if not all, of her Churches. She has held to beliefs that were held thousands of years ago.
@kopackjm: Really - again a roman catholic who has no clue about the patristic teaching!
1.) The Holy Fathers have forbidden the use of instruments in the Church. St. Augustine, St. Athanasios etc...they all speak about the chants of the church
2.) Yes - there are ROCK MASSES in the RCC. Here in Germany and Austria they are very popular
3.) Mass is not the Divine Liturgy of old - it can not be compared
4.) Of course do those things I mentioned constitue a church - THE TRUE CHURCH
@adamantis4657 Hello, Doesn't the word CHURCH come from the word CIRCA? meaning the CIRCLE? meaning the circle of the PEOPLE? not the Papel establishment? ie those who rule, dominate & submit! Sounds familiar? Faith is found in the cave of the heart.
5.) Many Canons were broken by the RCC, from the New Calendar, kneeling on Sundays, sitting on PEWS, STatues - the church has NEVER ALLOWED THE USE OF STATUES! How can u sit on pews when u worship God? This is blasphemous.
6.) Papism, Filioque, indulgences....this all is not ancient or old - it is very new!
@adamantis4657 Sir, I am done with this. You are so focused on the externals, the way a church is built and decorated, and other frivolousities that you are completely missing the point. That you would claim sitting in pews during Mass to be blasphemous is ludicrous. In addition, what do you have against statues? Why is it okay for a church to have icons, but not statues? Indulgences are hundreds of years old, so don't tell me they are "very new." I wash my hands of you, saucy varlet.
1.) U should study the Holy Fathers; such "externals" are very important for christian worship. How we pray, how we prostrate, how we chant,....because this all is needed for a proper behaviour infront of GOD,
2.) How can we sit in the Temple of God when the Cherubim and Seraphim tremble and worship before the Holy Throne of Christ = ALTAR? We also should tremble and prostrate - LIKE IT WAS DONE IN THE EARLY CHURCH and not sit on chairs like in cinema
3.) St. Augustine talks about, St. Ambrose, St. Ephraim the Syrian, St. Isaac etc - they all wrote abuot the proper behaviour in the Temple of God. Even Ecumenical Synods ordered how to pray and stand...
4.) Through such External things we receive the grace of GOD. We are not hippies - where everyone can do what he wants. Prayer, Fasting, Prostrations, Weeping, Vigils....that is Church.
5.) Icons were used since apostolic times according to the Holy Canons but NEVER STATUES
The RCC has completly set aside Holy Iconography. All their pictures, statues are uncanonical. Holy Icons are painted whith fasting and prayer, according to strict rules and not according to subjective taste or impression. Icons are not a personal expression of the artist but PAINTED THEOLOGY. Everything is full of theology and symbols.
The RCC only has secular pictures with religious themes but not Icons.
@lalungenuictdestens I am Catholic and opposed to the 2nd Vactican Council. Please give me back the traditional church and get rid of this jewish impostor.
If you all remember from our world history classes there was a trade route that went deep into China, the silk road, and crossed just north of the Tibetan territory. The Templars were money collectors for the Catholic Church. I wouldn't doubt if they picked up many traits from the monks. They May have spent a lot of time with them, although chanting is not inherent of only one tribe of people. Unless we can prove a "copyright violation".
Ambrosian chant is entirely owed to St Ambrose, bishop of Milan. It is also known as Milanese chant. One of Ambrose's hymns is Te Deum, which he composed to be chanted when he baptized St Augustine of Hippo. Ambrosian chant was the precursor of what to this day remains the only other liturgical music approved by the Church: Gregorian chant, which was created during the pontificate of Pope St Gregory I The Great. Ambrosian chant, like Gregorian chant, is thus unique to the Roman Catholic Church.
@viriatoist: I think u don't know byzantine chant? And I want to tell u that Ambrosian chant is orthodox chant - all those ancient chants go back to the same root based on the hebrew chant of the Temple of Salomon,
Gregorian, Ambrosian, Byzantine, Coptic, Aramaic,.....to the slavonic znanemi chant....all are monophon with the 8 tones. Even the church year is based on the 8 tones.
@amaqula It's more likely for Catholic to create purely Catholic state by refugees from EUrabia coming to..Poland ? Eastern Germany? Somewhere in South Africa?
How about France?! A growing Catholic population there....but you never hear about them. Maybe they need reinforcements?! CATHOLIC STATE for the future please!
@amaqula such growth is far to small for their growth. Their allies is the anti-Christian state, they have all the social support. And to be honest I expect civil war (and possible second holocaust) in France in next few decades - because democracy is the secular god which subsequently fails; and to be honest this war will be the beginning (and important element) of war over Europe. I wish my home country would have become Catholic once again.
@amaqula: Catholics have to return to the Faith of old, the ancient faith of the Apostles - they have to reject all innovations and heresies!
Remove: PEWS, ORGANS, INSTRUMENTS, STATUES.....back to the Holy Fathers.....and the Holy Canons of the Holy Church.
Holy Iconography, Holy Chant, Holy and Divine Liturgy, prostrations, tears, weeping, fasting.....THAT IS NEEDED - otherwise God will allow that the west perish under Islam.
While you guys are arguing about the Old and New Testaments and establishing which version you are quoting from....have you noticed the similarity between these chants and those of Tibetan monastic orders?
@lalungenuictdestens Gee, no. I will try to find something on the rainforest pygymy. The Templars brought back ancient practices from the "Holy Land," and this type of chanting to induce higher mind transcendent states has very ancient roots that trace back to the Far East...but I don't think they cross the Pacific to Brazil. :)
@theshow2k Yeah, right!, pygmies from the western part of Africa knowing about european polyphony... It's different, it sounds more like caribbean or guineal equatorian music, please, listen some pygmy music before commenting.
@Jesuisquejesuis and the Aztec pyramids are like the Egyptian pyramids... it is all just a coincidence. However, they are both beautiful ways to chant.
@asdfasqwrt: Byzantine chant is the chant of the church. Those "chants" and music played today in catholic, protestant churches are strictly forbidden and are not canonical.
It is a part of Holy Tradition how to chant in church; monophon usually, acapella, instruments are strictly forbidden by the Holy Fathers - also the organ!
@adamantis4657 Here, you can't hear any instruments, only human voices, and it really reminds me of chanting we orthodox christians use. it is not the same, but it is similar.
@Jesuisquejesuis I know you prob. forgot about this, but to 'attempt' an answer to your question. YES, they do sound the same, due to the location of the first 'official' Universal Church in what's now know as Istambul. The people in that regin, including Jeruselem sang (still do, somewhat) in this melisimic (sp?) fashion. The actual history behind the 'Byzantine' sound is cool

so many peole think they can learn religion and believ through a book?may i remember EVERYONE of you the times believe was the greatest 90 % of all people in europe couldnt read nor write?beleve can not be proven through knowledge if that would be the case the church woulndt have stood in the way of sience so long...as long as your beleave is based on the bible jesus told somenone something...but youll not understand it...becorse believe is not about time, history or books but about your self.
@srang12345 and jesus words have a diferent meaning 4 all of us becorse all of us have different paths and lives...so evreyone of us will see a difference in any of the words writen down in the bible..first know yourself before you start to chnge yourself...and the bible will change you....so before reading the bible try to see what you are before and look at what you become after...that is beleave....the difference between before and after...out of your pure will to become something better...
quand le monde libre va t'il se réveiller et aller libérer jerusalem.....si nous ne gagnons pas la guerre sainte qui se menne actuellement dans le monde nous subirons l'islam et ses libertés(là je rigole....)
Jesus Christ is Lord. "I come not to bring peace, but to bring a sword" (Matthew10:34). The truth of the matter is mohamed was an illiterate, junkie who molested children. He also murdered the polytheistic people of Mecca in order to establish his illegitimate caliphate. The Koran says "there is only one G-d Allah and no others shall be subscribed unto him" but the Holy Trinity is in fact one G-d the Father the Son and the Holy Ghost.
these Crusades were a travesty! how could those professing a beliefe in Mary, Jesus, and God!, make war on those who believed the same 3 entities!!=Mariam! Isa! Allah!...............................the only differances are the Crucifixion debate, and the Trinity debate. these two are very hot topics!! if you like an argument, find a Muslim, and say, "so what about that Trinity thing!", and you will have hours and hours of debate! :)
@acerb45666555 I see that you haven't studied the Bible or the Quran! both say that the infidels must be killed (even Jesus said that!, offer the peace once to your enemies, if they don't accept it, offer it twice... if they don't accept it, make them the war).
@lalungenuictdestens ......then i propose that Christians and Muslims revise that specific faulty policy and substitute a more practical and peaceful process to incur the spreading of common sense!!>>>>>"Do as ye will!, an harm none!"
@lalungenuictdestens Umm, no. Jesus may have said that according to the Quran, but he never said anything like it in the Bible. He preached that if your enemy strikes you on the cheek, turn to him the other also, to forgive thy brother seventy times seven times, and that those who live by the sword die by the sword. If Jesus had preached war on the infidels, then the apostles would certainly have made war after he was crucified. Instead they spread the Gospel in love and peace.
@KingWilliamI Oh! You're so wrong, read your King James Bible (or any available) and look for: Matthew 10:34 - 39 : 10:34 Think not that I am come to send peace on earth: I came not to send peace, but a sword.
10:35 For I am come to set a man at variance against his father, and the daughter against her mother, and the daughter in law against her mother in law.
10:36 And a man's foes shall be they of his own household.
10:37 He that loveth father or mother more than me is not worthy of me
@lalungenuictdestens These are all just forseen consequences the teaching of the Gospel would bring onto this world. Jesus, being supercool as he is, foresaw these consequences. Later, centuries after his death, people have misinterpreted his words, just like you did now, and lay wars against each other, betrayed their family members for the sake of "Faith" and burned them at the stakes as wiches, proclaimed their rule over other people based on their religion, etc. Jesus just wanted us to love.
@lalungenuictdestens Ummm NO your wrong, I know this parable very well. what your reading is a parable, Parables have meanings there not literal, Jesus said "let them who have ears, let them hear".Jesus spoke in parables so that if you wanted to truly understand you will. Jesus is love, and the bible spells one word "love" there is no death in love. If you dont believe me then seek opinion of a priest.
@lalungenuictdestens There is an ocean of reasons why you are wrong. Hate and vengeance brings nothing good. The same way you quote the bible, the inquisition used for torturing and killing innocent people. Let go of the sword, and the hate, it makes no sense. Look at the world, there is so much good missing, it is rotten to the core. If you have such a surplus of energy, direct it towards doing some good. The words "reign over", "slay" have nothing to to with what Jesus did during his life.
@lalungenuictdestens So what "Luke 19:27"(King James Version) is saying if I can't control them, then kill them in my name !? How do you justify this when teaching a sunday school? "God wells it", condemning people for the false sense of superiority and security has plagued humanity mostly in the name of religion.
@SoricaJuric I think that if he did exist your perception is the most accurate I cant stand all the suffering in this world on account of religion. I feel that Jesus just wanted us to do more for others than for ourselves regardless of religion/faith.
@PRCdammit Thanks. I'm tired of all this also. It's unbelievable to me how many people spend so much energy in projecting their own hate and dissapointment to originally peaceful messages. I'm sure if you try, you can take something Buddha said out of context and make it sound volatile. I guess that's how humans just "are". It's so amusing: when you look at the way the world is, how is it possible that the adjective "humane" can have a positive meaning?
@lalungenuictdestens NO, you are wrong, Jesus said that his word will divide family, friends, wifes, husbands and so on...that NOT all will except the loving words of Christ, so they will hate you because they hated Jesus first. His word will divide sons of GOD To the Sons of the world. And we must love him first because if we dont then we dont know how to love perfectly. Didnt Jesus tell st Peter to put the sword down after he cut off the temple guards ear right before he healed the guard?
@acerb45666555 I would rather have years and year of crusades, and at the end there wil be no debate, for they wil believe with all their hearts, or they wil rot in the sands as their ancestors before them.
@acerb45666555 those debates you mention, form the very essence of the catholic faith, therefore islam is not the same and they do not believe. So we shall make war on them, and when it is over there wil be no debating, for they wil believe with all their hearts or they wil rot in the sands as their ancestors before them.
@acerb45666555 Isa is not Jesus, Isa is Esau. Islam does not venerate Christ, the true God. The crusades weren't about this, however - the crusades happened because the Muslim Turks invaded Christian lands.
@acerb45666555 the beliving will allways find them self in competition over the grace nd mercy of the one god...but they will never get step closer aslong as the competition is fight to death.after the dalai lama who talked to the cristian nazis in 1939 those ones will be send back here until they will understand.under this perspektiv ,,the one who does not learn from history will be doomed by its return over and over again" gets a whole other dimension.nature is now god serches 4 iternity.
@johny260 ..........i know the Mujahideen at the time were overly rambuncious, but the Crusaders didnt have to copy theyre tactics! ="Slay the unbelievers!" Scimitar and Broadsword both dripped with innocent blood!
War is hell and the only rule is survive. what would you do when your backs against the wall, you'd become an an animal like anyone else. And you'd understand the part of yourself that you do your best to ignore. civilization is nice, when its gone people find out what they are capeable of.
@johny260 ...war and survival. i never ignore that side of us humans! watch>>"Heaven Shall Burn-Armia" .......i know very well what humans are capable of. ive studied war for years.
@Okzcarian What is Christianity without moral advances? If you live in the Spirit, yet do evil without care, what kind of Christian are you? No different than a heathen. Defence of the faith is all nice and fair, but why do you make war claiming it is for your faith? Why did the Crusaders? In most instances, land, power, and wealth, all with the blessing of the very powerful Catholic Church. It wasn't in defence of the faith: faith was an excuse to do it.
Just as something slightly off-topic I say that many religions and forms of spirituality have a trinity idea. Saccidānanda, Satchidananda, or Sat-cit-ānanda (Sanskrit: सच्चिदानन्द) - sat chit aananda, meaning being, knowledge, and bliss respectively. The expression is used in yoga and other schools of Indian philosophy and practice to describe the nature of Brahman (not caste, beyond such mental distinctions, but Brahman) as experienced by a fully liberated yogi or saint.
Christian chanting in both the Eastern Orthodox Empire and the Holy Roman Empire derived from earlier tones, i.e., pagan chants. As Christianity replaced the unpopular pagan culture (Edict of Milan 313 A.D.) Christian lyrics in turn replaced pagan. Even many popular children's songs during the Dark - Medieval Ages were revisions of pagan themes.
I have read accounts that state that Islamic refrains may well have their origins in Syrian Orthodox Christian chant. Islamic refrain does, however, appear to arise out of common tones etc. endemic to the Levant. Christianity, being older than Islam by some 700 years, obviously predates Islam and its use of these sounds. But apparently, there is some indication that early Christian chant may have its origins in both ancient Greco-Roman/Middle Eastern/Jewish roots.
Hence, the Catholic Church of today is a far cry from it's former glory. With Byzantine chant, I can still hear the ancient church of Constantinople. Shame Catholics have strayed so far in so many ways from the early Fathers. I havn't met a Catholic yet (other than a priest or Jesuit) that even knows what a holy Father is heh sad
I tend to prefer Byzantine chant by far over the neo protestant tonalities used in modern Catholicism. This, however, is old enough to have not yet been watered down by the tens of hundreds of viewpoints in the Catholic Church that has since watered down anything that remotely locked into one time period.
Little known fact about the First Crusades an the Templar Knights. In the first battle against Islam and the arrival at Jerusalem. Historians describe the fight so frenzied and bloody that blood flowed so deep that it came up to ankles of the horses.
That was Christianity (Templar's) vs Islam for control of Jerusalem.
@Vort317545 still nothing compred to the fact that if they would have stayed where they where...nothing better would have happend...the real belever of the church is and was the one who had nothing else to belive in anymore....

1.) The church is not build on one person (study the patristic corpus)
2.) Peter also foundet Antiochia - and? Is the Patriarch of Antiochia also a Pope? NO
3.) The Roman Catholic church is now heretic and schismatic - she has fallen into many errors:
Modernism, Liberalism, one innovation after the other....PEWS, ORGANS, New Calendar, Filioque, Mass etc..

Pixiemaggee123 4 months ago
@lalungenuictdestens I don't want to start any sort of fight, but what authority do you have to declare Vatican II a heresy? You claim that the Church took the Catholic mass and made it very much like a protestant mass. I will certainly agree that the Latin mass (my personal favorite mass) conveys a much more traditional sense. I would simply like to point out that ever since Christianity started out, we were assimilating pagan holidays and locations to help draw converts to the Faith.
kopackjm 4 months ago 2
@kopackjm: The RCC is heretic and schismatic! All her masses are uncanonical and far away from being patristic.
Everything was set aside that constitutes a church: Holy Chant, Holy Iconography, Prostrations, the Divine Liturgy was turned into Mass with Rock Music.etc.
This church is heretic! There is only ONE TRUE CHURCH = HOLY ORTHODOXY
adamantis4657 3 months ago
@adamantis4657 I don't know what masses you've been looking at, but Mass does NOT have rock music. Not in any of the churches I've been to, and believe me, I've been to alot of them. In addition, none of those things which you listed constitute a church. A church is much more that chants, icons, and prostrations. The Roman Catholic Church still offers the original Latin mass in many, if not all, of her Churches. She has held to beliefs that were held thousands of years ago.
kopackjm 3 months ago
@kopackjm: Really - again a roman catholic who has no clue about the patristic teaching!
1.) The Holy Fathers have forbidden the use of instruments in the Church. St. Augustine, St. Athanasios etc...they all speak about the chants of the church
2.) Yes - there are ROCK MASSES in the RCC. Here in Germany and Austria they are very popular
3.) Mass is not the Divine Liturgy of old - it can not be compared
4.) Of course do those things I mentioned constitue a church - THE TRUE CHURCH
adamantis4657 3 months ago
@adamantis4657 Hello, Doesn't the word CHURCH come from the word CIRCA? meaning the CIRCLE? meaning the circle of the PEOPLE? not the Papel establishment? ie those who rule, dominate & submit! Sounds familiar? Faith is found in the cave of the heart.

@kopackjm: THE RCC IS FULL OF INNOVATION
5.) Many Canons were broken by the RCC, from the New Calendar, kneeling on Sundays, sitting on PEWS, STatues - the church has NEVER ALLOWED THE USE OF STATUES! How can u sit on pews when u worship God? This is blasphemous.
6.) Papism, Filioque, indulgences....this all is not ancient or old - it is very new!
adamantis4657 3 months ago
@adamantis4657 Sir, I am done with this. You are so focused on the externals, the way a church is built and decorated, and other frivolousities that you are completely missing the point. That you would claim sitting in pews during Mass to be blasphemous is ludicrous. In addition, what do you have against statues? Why is it okay for a church to have icons, but not statues? Indulgences are hundreds of years old, so don't tell me they are "very new." I wash my hands of you, saucy varlet.
kopackjm 3 months ago
@kopackjm: EXTERNALS
We also should tremble and prostrate - LIKE IT WAS DONE IN THE EARLY CHURCH and not sit on chairs like in cinema
adamantis4657 3 months ago
@kopackjm:
5.) Icons were used since apostolic times according to the Holy Canons but NEVER STATUES
adamantis4657 3 months ago
@kopackjm: Holy Iconography:

Unless we can prove a "copyright violation".
myrabrousard 1 year ago
Ambrosian chant is entirely owed to St Ambrose, bishop of Milan. It is also known as Milanese chant. One of Ambrose's hymns is Te Deum, which he composed to be chanted when he baptized St Augustine of Hippo. Ambrosian chant was the precursor of what to this day remains the only other liturgical music approved by the Church: Gregorian chant, which was created during the pontificate of Pope St Gregory I The Great. Ambrosian chant, like Gregorian chant, is thus unique to the Roman Catholic Church.
viriatoist 1 year ago 3
@viriatoist: I think u don't know byzantine chant? And I want to tell u that Ambrosian chant is orthodox chant - all those ancient chants go back to the same root based on the hebrew chant of the Temple of Salomon,
Gregorian, Ambrosian, Byzantine, Coptic, Aramaic,.....to the slavonic znanemi chant....all are monophon with the 8 tones. Even the church year is based on the 8 tones.

@acerb45666555 I see that you haven't studied the Bible or the Quran! both say that the infidels must be killed (even Jesus said that!, offer the peace once to your enemies, if they don't accept it, offer it twice... if they don't accept it, make them the war).

acerb45666555 1 year ago
@lalungenuictdestens Umm, no. Jesus may have said that according to the Quran, but he never said anything like it in the Bible. He preached that if your enemy strikes you on the cheek, turn to him the other also, to forgive thy brother seventy times seven times, and that those who live by the sword die by the sword. If Jesus had preached war on the infidels, then the apostles would certainly have made war after he was crucified. Instead they spread the Gospel in love and peace.
KingWilliamI 1 year ago
@KingWilliamI Oh! You're so wrong, read your King James Bible (or any available) and look for: Matthew 10:34 - 39 : 10:34 Think not that I am come to send peace on earth: I came not to send peace, but a sword.
10:35 For I am come to set a man at variance against his father, and the daughter against her mother, and the daughter in law against her mother in law.
10:36 And a man's foes shall be they of his own household.
10:37 He that loveth father or mother more than me is not worthy of me
lalungenuictdestens 1 year ago
@lalungenuictdestens These are all just forseen consequences the teaching of the Gospel would bring onto this world. Jesus, being supercool as he is, foresaw these consequences. Later, centuries after his death, people have misinterpreted his words, just like you did now, and lay wars against each other, betrayed their family members for the sake of "Faith" and burned them at the stakes as wiches, proclaimed their rule over other people based on their religion, etc. Jesus just wanted us to love.

Look at the world, there is so much good missing, it is rotten to the core. If you have such a surplus of energy, direct it towards doing some good. The words "reign over", "slay" have nothing to to with what Jesus did during his life.

@PRCdammit Thanks. I'm tired of all this also. It's unbelievable to me how many people spend so much energy in projecting their own hate and dissapointment to originally peaceful messages.

Chad01234 1 year ago

I doubt that either Christians or Muslims were copying musical forms from one another, consciously or unconsciously.
