  • was KGBT is there

  • 2:51

    Chi-town!!!

    WBBM-TV

  • @blank77 I remember that logo

  • Maybe I just missed it but two of CBS' O&Os, WBZ-TV in Boston and KPIX in San Francisco, didn't show up in either Part 1 or Part II of this promo film....

  • WBMG 42 (now WIAT-TV) ID 1:25

  • WGNX ID (now WGCL-TV) 0:16

  • But KLBK isn't either. What I put in my first message was a random sampling of the omissions, including ones that came to my head. Come to think of it, I don't see KXII either...or KUTV, for example...

  • @raymieX this is really stupid, they should've had KFDA, KXII, KUTV, and KLBK in the list

  • Another CBS station omitted from the video: KTVA 11 in Anchorage, who are still with CBS today while then-sister station KTVF here in Fairbanks switched from CBS to NBC in 1996.

  • Wow, no KEYE 42 in Austin? FUCK THIS VIDEO

  • @nWd4you For part of 1995 - until July 1 - you would have seen KTBC and the Star 7 of that era had Austin been included.

The selection is admittedly odd and includes several whole station chains and satellites (like KBIM Part 1) while completely ignoring stations (no WBZ, KYW, KLBK, KEYE..)

  • @raymieX you mean KFDA, KLBK was owned by Cannan Communications at the time

  • @rebafan19 What does that have to do with anything?

  • @raymieX because KFDA Channel 10 is not in these IDs like it should be

  • Both my affiliates growing up are in this part. Born in Thunder Bay, Ontario, so we got KDLH-3 from Duluth. Now living outside of Toronto, so we get WIVB-4 from Buffalo

  • WCIX did not become WTVJ. WCIX 6 and WTVJ 4 switched places on the dial back in around 1995. WCIX 6 became WFOR 4 and WTVJ 4 became WTVJ 6.

  • 0:46 and 2:59 don't go together! One was a CBS affiliate BEFORE September 10, 1995, the other AFTER Sept. 10! (Also, that KCNC ID truthfully looks dodgy - it's also more the one NBC used than the first CBS KCNC logo - there's only one typeface difference between the two.)

  • Idiots, they missed KGBT in Harlingen, TX

  • @Matt324324 they also missed KFDA in Amarillo, TX

  • You missed WHBF - Channel 4 from Rock Island, IL and KGAN - Channel 2 from Cedar Rapids, IA

  • CBS2 Chicago WBBM-TV appears at 2:51.

  • My town's affiliate appears @ 2:51

  • You omitted WWTV and WWUP! "9 AND 10" in Northern Michigan

  • WLYH-TV-15 -Lancaster/Lebanon (PA) became a UPN affiliate in 1995 splitting off of WHP-TV 21 Harrisburg, and in 2006, became part of the CW network. Also overlooked WBOC-TV 16 Salisbury(MD)/Dover(DE).

  • they didn't show cbs affiliate in New Orleans from WWL- tv

  • 1. The "13" at 1:12 should be familiar to anyone living in Charleston, WV now.

    2. Speaking of which, know of another that was missing: WTRF in Wheeling, WV.

  • Thanks for putting this up! I will, however, jump on the "my station(s) are missing" bandwagon.

    KLAS Las Vegas

  • I don't think KFSM-TV (Fort Smith,AR) or WLFI (Lafayette, IN) were there, either. Otherwise, these are great!

  • I just realized WLFI is in this one. Never mind. But I did think of another missing one: KOLR (Springfield, MO). And was WTVF (Nashville) in either of these?

  • KSTW is not a CBS affiliate anymore. Its now airing CW. KIRO got CBS back a few years after this was made.

KOVR is now a CBS O&O

KTVS is no longer a CBS affiliate, it briefly had the KUPN calls and is currently KDCO

  • Don't forget: KSTW CW 11 is owned by CBS, which also owns half of the CW Television Network. BTW: WFOR CBS 4 in Miami was formerly known as WCIX-TV was broadcast on channel 4 until 1995 when the NBC-owned-and-operated WTVJ moved to channel 6 as NBC6.

  • 2 Florida Affiliates not shown.

WINK Fort Myers and WPEC West Palm Beach

  • I think CBS left out the other said affiliates for time constraints... or was it because they weren't interested?

  • I think it was for time constraints, if you ask me.

  • actually WCIX moved to channel 4 and became WFOR-TV and WTVJ went from 4 to 6.

  • Not mentioned: WWL New Orleans, WHLT Hattiesburg/Laurel, KSLA Shreveport.

  • KSLA was actually mentioned-- go check part 1 of the video to see it.

  • Another CBS affiliate not mentioned on these ID's is KTVN in Reno, Nevada.

  • Slight goof-up-- the "News 12" at 1:40 in the clip is actually WDEF in Chattanooga, Tennessee. (The WRDW logo was in part 1)

  • My mistake on that clip, and thank you for correcting it.

  • @ 0:06, I remember that station

  • @ 4:15, it says KTVF & it's a NBC affliate in Fairbanks, Alaska

  • Well, I guess you're right, I thought it said "KTVT" but again you're right.

  • KTVT was already done @ :44 seconds after this video started

  • Can i post more CBS affiliate ID's from 1985 to 1999 please?

  • Absolutely.
