no it's not shocking. on the Klute's album it clearly says Withers/Brock/Tait on the sleeve. calm down ;)

It might say that but he didn't ask Hawkwind's permission and apparently isn't paying them any royalties. It's a bit like 're-mixing' Hey Jude by The Beatles and crediting it as Withers/Lennon/Mccartney: I don't think he'd get away with it. Cheeky though!!

If these guys tried to have all the samples they used cleared, the cost would make it unviable to even make the tune, remember that it would be a record company making the decision not Hawkwind themselves and a small independent record label like Klute's Commercial Suicide wouldn't stand a chance in hell. Like 'Zarozinia', 'Saviour' is an amazingly moving piece of music. Do you want to live in a world where music is limited by the imagination or the dollar?

I don't want to live in that world, but saying that would seem to be saying I don't like this world. An individual can have his art and make on his on terms, but if the desire to be well known and prosperous should arise, than all a fellow could do is try to fit himself in the sheme of the almighty dollar. I dont believe in what Im saying, but I believe others do unfortunately.
